Chapter 1130
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1130:
? ? ? ? ?
Mitchel lowered his head, acknowledging his defeat. Even if Raegan's feelings for him were only pity, he was willing to accept them. He simply couldn't bear to be separated from herâ¦
Erick looked back, he wanted to move away but he found himself unable to do so.
After all, Mitchel had risked his life by donating a significant amount of blood to Raegan for her well-being.
However, the thought of Raegan suffering was unbearable for Erick. He felt deeply conflicted.
At the end, Erick found a middle ground. âI will not tolerate something like that happening again. Next time I will not be lenient, even though it pains me to separate you.â
Mitchel murmured, âThanksâ¦â
Erick let out a tired sigh. He decided to consider this as payment for Raegan's lifelong debt to Mitchel. Otherwise, he would continue to be consumed by restlessness.
If he made another mistake that would hurt Raegan, Erick promised to permanently cut off their relationship and make sure their paths never crossed again.
By this time, Stefan had headed to the hospital. After confirming that Raegan was safe, he quickly went back to dealing with those servants for their negligence. How shameless of them to shirk their responsibilities, under the false belief that Raegan lacked support!
Stefan was determined to set a strict example. He gave a harsh lesson to the negligent driver and the night-shift servants who had neglected their duties.
Amidst the screams and howls that followed, the message was clear to everyone. Raegan was important and should be treated as such. From now on, they would not dare neglect their responsibilities.
Stefan then went to find Erick to discuss the situation. This time, I came with important news to share.
Stefan intercepted a clandestine conversation between his father and another party, revealing Davey's plan to divest from his Aurora holdings. It was clear that Davey was preparing to disappear once again.
Whenever Davey slipped away in the past, he was gone without a trace, offering no breadcrumbs as to his whereabouts.
Now on high alert, locating Davey again would be like plucking stars from the sky.
Erick's brow furrowed deeply, knowing full well that this time, his plan had to prevail without a hitch. If they missed this opportunity, locating Casey would be an insurmountable challenge.
Erick's expression darkened even further, especially as Raegan's illness exacerbated the gloomy mood. Just as the baby celebration approached three, I have worried about the remaining days, about Raegan's ability to attend. If not, they would have to quickly find a suitable replacement.
Upon awakening, Raegan found herself confined to a hospital bed, her mind burdened with the remnants of tumultuous dreams.
In those dreams, Mitchel seemed to be moving further and further away, ignoring her pleas and leaving her with only the sting of his ruthless departure.
âHow are you feeling?â Mitchel's deep voice echoed near her ear.
Blinking, Raegan looked at the man from her dreams sitting beside her bed, the flood of emotions from her dreams bleeding into reality. âWhy are you ignoring me?â she asked.
Taken back by her question, Mitchel's rehearsed explanations scattered like leaves in the wind.
Raegan's eyes filled with tears, her anguish growing by the second. "In my dreams, I called out to you, but you turned your back on me..."
Hearing her portrayal of his dream almost made Mitchel chuckle, but what came after was a wave of relief. He was highlighted that he had understood something crucial. Was it so important that she felt sorry for him? What mattered was her hesitation to let her go, and that she imagined him in her dreams. That, in itself, was enough.
âFine, blame me then. Go ahead and hit me.â Mitchel extended his hand with a mock serious attitude.
How could Raegan hit Mitchel? Her anger hadn't even subsided. Furthermore, many of Mitchel's recent actions seemed strange to her.
