Chapter 1120

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1120:

? ? ? ? ?

Raegan soon arrived at the Conference Center, where Mitchel diligently immersed himself in work.

As he awaited Raegan's arrival, Matteo had already been waiting patiently outside.

Upon meeting, Raegan wasted no time and addressed Matteo directly: “Matteo, our history spans many years. May I ask you to be honest?”

Matteo paused, wondering if Raegan had heard about the important blood donation Mitchell had made for her.

Matteo hesitated, aware of the repercussions of the previous time he revealed more to Raegan than he should have, so Mitchel sent him overseas to oversee mining operations in Tanzania for nearly six months.

Even though the salary and benefits remained unchanged, the prospect of enduring a dilapidated environment and the absence of people of his nationality left Matteo with no desire to return.

His main concern was the women of the place, who found him attractive, a rare face among the locals, and blatantly made attempts to get intimate with him. There were nights when several women tried to get intimate with him in a matter of hours.

Alarmed, Matteo quickly built a brick house as a defense against these advances. His preference was not rooted in a dislike of these women. Rather, he simply preferred those of his own skin tone, with whom he could comfortably communicate in his native language.

Matteo frowned as he recalled those painful days. Still, he replied, “Miss Foster, please go ahead and ask.”

"I want to know the real situation with Mitchel's leg," Raegan said.

Matteo paused for a few seconds, realizing that Raegan's lack of knowledge of the cause of Mitchel's worsening condition meant that she was still unaware of the important blood transfusion Mitchel had given her. With that in mind, he felt he could share the truth.

With a solemn expression, Matteo revealed: “Aurora experts have determined that Mr. Dixon’s condition is incurable. For the rest of his life, he will most likely be dependent on crutches and a wheelchair.”

"Incurable?" Raegan repeated, in obvious disbelief.

Matteo nodded gravely.

Raegan couldn't understand it. How could this be? Wasn't it said that as long as Mitchel underwent surgery, his leg would gradually recover?

And I perfectly remembered seeing him standing before giving birth.

Grabbing Matteo's arm anxiously, Raegan insisted, "That same night when you all came to see my brother, he was able to stand up, right?"

Raegan's memory was crystal clear. That particular night, Mitchel had indeed been able to stand for a while. He had not been accompanied by crutches or any wheelchair-related items.

Matteo recalled the incident mentioned by Raegan and explained: “That night, the bottom of Mitchel’s crutch was a little greasy, so I went to change it. Before that, he could stand for a while, but he couldn't walk very far.”

After that night, Raegan had witnessed Mitchel using the crutch regularly.

Hearing this revelation, Raegan felt as if her world was crumbling around her. The reality seemed too harsh to accept. Mitchel's possible dependence on crutches for his entire life weighed heavily on his mind. He was such a proud man. How could he accept being dependent on a crutch for the rest of his days?

With her mind in turmoil and her emotions mixed, she moved forward and managed to locate Mitchel. Dazed, she couldn't remember if she had knocked on the door before pushing it open.

When she found Mitchel, he was crouched on the floor, having apparently tripped while picking up some papers scattered across his desk.

Next to his office chair was the custom black wheelchair.
