Chapter 1116

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1116:

? ? ? ? ?

What a scene for the spectators.

The little garden had regained its usual tranquility.

However, an undeniable discomfort still lingered.

Raegan cried as she recalled her bold declaration to the plump woman, professing her attraction to Mitchel and her intention to seduce him, along with a comment about the freedom of singles to love.

She felt like she had been impulsive. In a desperate attempt to defend Mitchel, she had spoken without thinking much. Looking back, it was downright embarrassing.

Worried that Mitchel would get angry, Raegan took the initiative to apologize. “I'm so sorry. I got carried away and said something stupid. Please don't worry. If you need me to clarify anything…”

Raegan's thoughts then turned to Eloise, unsure of Eloise's relationship with Mitchel. Did Mitchel know what Eloise had told Bryce? Did Mitchel realize that Eloise was actually interested in Bryce?

Raegan's gaze darkened. “I can help clear it up if needed.”

After Raegan's lengthy apology, Mitchel quietly replied, "It's okay. I don't care."

When he seemed unconcerned, Raegan was speechless. Looking at him, she remembered the times she had seen him secretly practicing, trying to stand without his staff. Her nose tingled and her heart twisted in pain. What was wrong with his legs?

Raegan had endless questions, but she was struggling to find the words to ask them. But then she thought maybe she had no right to worry. To everyone else, it seemed like they both had other people they cared about.

Showing concern now might only make her look like a jealous busybody.

I did not wish to foster any ambiguous relationship.

“Rest well and recover your health.” With that, Raegan turned to leave.

“Raegan!” Mitchel shouted, stopping her in her tracks.

"How are the babies?" I have asked.

Raegan turned around, her voice cracking slightly. “The babies are doing great. They're so cute. “You should come play with them when you’re feeling better.”

“I’m sure you’ve taken very good care of them,” Mitchel replied, his voice full of gratitude. He had taken a look at his babies once, when Erick brought them to him, an act he hoped would cheer him up after seeing his depressed state.

Realizing the possibility of a permanent disability had nearly driven Mitchel to despair. It wasn't until Erick visited him, commenting on how much the babies looked like him, that he felt a renewed sense of responsibility. He felt he had to be strong for his children and for the children's mother, Raegan.

However, Mitchel gave a bitter smile. Could he really continue to protect Raegan now?

As Raegan turned to leave, she maneuvered her wheelchair and said, “Let me walk you.”

Raegan paused, surprised that he wanted to accompany her.

They returned together to their respective wards. Raegan could not invite them to visit her babies, as they had already been quietly moved to Ardlens to prepare for her upcoming celebration.

Furthermore, there was growing evidence that Davey was secretly harboring Casey. There were plans to confront Davey during the celebration and, if necessary, arrest him outright.
