Chapter 1092

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1092:

? ? ? ? ?

She felt exhausted now. And tiredness threatened to overwhelm her. But that persistent voice kept calling and calling. She thought it was very persistent.

But the persistent scolding seemed to be reviving her, little by little…

Inside the hospital, the harsh glow of the ceiling lamp illuminated the bustling activity of doctors and nurses.

In the middle of the rush, a doctor approached the waiting room with a serious expression. “Where is the patient's family? “We need someone to sign the operation agreement.”

“I'm his brother. Let me handle it.” Erick stepped forward, his voice tense with worry.

The doctor explained that Raegan urgently needed a C-section.

“Is it… is it dangerous?” Erick hesitated, still gripping the pen.

The doctor laid out the harsh reality with great seriousness: “My waters broke some time ago, and there is no more amniotic fluid left.

Now every moment counts, or the baby could suffocate. And she is about to give birth. Why is there no one by her side?

Erick remained silent.

The doctor, without another word, disappeared behind the door, clutching the signed operating agreement.

Outside, only Mitchel and Erick remained in the tense silence.

Mitchel's gaze locked onto Erick, sharp as a dagger. "Where's Stefan? Is this how he acts like a husband?"

Erick's eyelids fluttered, a nervous tic betraying his uneasiness. How could he admit to Mitchel that Raegan's wedding to Stefan was a facade, a farce they were keeping up to keep up appearances?

Just as Erick was about to make up an excuse, Stefan came running in, looking worried. “Where’s Raegan?”

Before Erick could respond, Mitchel's fist connected with Stefan's jaw with a resounding thud.

Stefan staggered back, shock etched on his face.

“Explain to me why, as a husband, you left your pregnant wife home alone,” Mitchel demanded, fury flashing in his eyes. “You better give me a damn good reason, a reason that could save your sorry life!”

Stefan could only stand there, speechless, consumed by guilt. It had all been his fault. His negligence had led Raegan to eat improperly, and that had sustained her labor for at least ten days. If he had been more attentive, perhaps this crisis could have been avoided, or at least postponed.

Stefan wanted to lash out at himself, to punish himself for his incompetence, more than Mitchel ever could.

But as Stefan remained silent, Mitchel's patience wore thin, and blows rained down on Stefan's face and body, one after another.

Unable to sit idly by, Erick stepped forward to desperately plead with Mitchel: “Mitchel, please calm down!”

Admitting the truth about their fabricated marriage was out of the question. Stefan hadn't spent a single night alone with Raegan.

But Mitchel dismissed Erick with a cold look. “What? Are you going to defend that man who clearly doesn't give a damn about your sister?”

“No, that's not it…” Erick stammered. I have struggled to find the right words. He wanted to explain that Stefan wasn't to blame. Stefan wasn't really Raegan's husband and he had no obligation to be by her side.
