Chapter 1091

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1091:

? ? ? ? ?

Mitchel's gaze locked on Erick, seeking comfort. "Is she alone inside?"

"Yes, there's only her." At this point, Erick saw no point in lying any longer.

Mitchel shot a glance at Erick, which made him feel uncomfortable. Fortunately, Mitchel refrained from further questioning, and instead turned his attention to Victor, who hurried to his side. “Bring the key, now!”

Even with the key in hand, the door proved stubborn.

Erick's heart skipped a beat as he caught sight of a hand sticking out of a hollow. “Raegan!”

Mitchel was horrified, but managed to keep his cool. Panic was a luxury he could not afford now. With a gentle push, he pushed the door open, his slender body barely squeezing through the narrow gap.

Inside, a vast expanse of water marks adorned the floor. Raegan's water had broken. It was clear she was in labor.

Without hesitation, Mitchel scooped the unconscious Raegan into his arms and hurried out, driving his every move.

Erick, noticing Mitchel's slight limp, stepped forward. "Give it to me." After all, I thought, it would be much quicker! But a cold look from Mitchel answered his suggestion.

Erick didn't insist further. He still had the wound on his shoulder and not supporting Raegan properly could mean disaster.

Despite the leg wound, it was clear that Mitchel would hold on to Raegan tightly even if she fell.

With Raegan cradled in his arms, Mitchel headed for the car, wasting no time for Erick to catch up. The car door slammed shut and they sped off into the night.

“Hey!” Erick hurriedly called another car, determined to follow them to the hospital.

Inside the car, Raegan found herself leaning against a stranger's chest, her eyebrows furrowed in discomfort. Even in her unconscious state, she felt a little uneasy.

As if trapped in a surreal dream, she was plagued by waves of pain radiating from her belly.

Tears streamed down her face, and her hoarse voice pleaded, “Help… Help my children…”

Only the security of being cradled in warm arms provided some comfort, although her brow remained angry with worry.

Mitchel removed his soaked coat with careful precision, revealing only a shirt and a tight black sweater.

He cradled Raegan against his chest. “Raegan… Raegan,” he murmured softly, barely audible over the rain.

He continued to whisper in her ear as they headed to the hospital. “Raegan, stay with me… Hang in there. We're almost at the hospital… I promise I won't let anything happen to you…”

Raegan's mind swirled in a haze of grief, and memories of her grandmother and foster father flickered like distant lights in a storm. Their voices were tender and kind, calling to her from the edge of the abyss.

"Raegan, Raegan..."

A lump formed in her throat, longing for their comforting presence. How much she missed them, longing to be with them once again, no matter what else.

But amidst the confusion, another voice cut through the mist. “Raegan, wait…”
