Raegan found Mitchel's calm, steady presence unsettling, especially since she felt self-conscious about her current state. She felt unpresentable compared to his meticulous grooming.

Reflecting on recent events, Raegan wondered if she had been teased. To avoid possible ridicule, she bit her lip and apologized, “About the other night… I misread the situation. “I’m sorry.”

“It's nothing.” He shifted slightly, letting a ray of sunlight warm his face.

Raegan then noticed the black cane in his hand. Despite his still-healing leg, he was here, working diligently. His involvement in the transnational project made his presence essential.

Raegan saw several bodyguards behind Mitchel. There were also some guys who looked like Aurora officials, probably because this very park was part of the project. She chose to remain silent. Now that she seemed to have company, she didn't want to confront him.

However, Mitchel didn't seem inclined to leave and instead struck up a conversation. "Are you used to eating here?"

“Yeah, okay,” Raegan replied.

Uninterested in engaging in conversation, she reminded him, "Mr. Dixon, there are people waiting for you."

Mitchel didn't miss it. He paused and began: "Eloise is..."

“Mr. Dixon, your personal affairs are none of my business. “You don’t have to explain yourself,” Raegan interrupted. She couldn't fully explain her feelings, but she really didn't want to delve into her personal life. Maybe she was avoiding it. She had enough problems already, and she felt like her plate was full.

Seeing that Raegan didn't want to listen to him, Mitchel felt exasperated, but he didn't insist further.

It wasn't until later, when Stefan approached with ice cream, that Raegan's face lit up.

Mitchel was momentarily stunned by Raegan's beaming face.

After craving ice cream for so long, Raegan ignored Mitchel's presence and stood up to receive the ice cream.

Before Stefan could register Mitchel's face, he handed the ice cream to Raegan.

Suddenly, a "crack!" was heard.

The ice cream Raegan had just received fell out of her hand.

Raegan looked in dismay at the remains of the ice cream, now only half of its original quantity.

Mitchel's previously calm face now showed anger as he faced Stefan. "Who told you that you could give him that?"

Stefan, taken back by Mitchel's aggressive questioning, hesitated before answering, "Raegan asked me to."
