Chapter 1079

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1079:

? ? ? ? ?

Stefan's goal was to calm Raegan's anxiety, but once she agreed to listen, he started to feel nervous himself. This was new to him, as he had been single for 30 years and had never felt anything so strong before.

«Although my family background is not the best, I have decided to distance myself from them. In the future, I promise not to have bad habits, nor infidelities. I will only love you. If we start a family, I will fully commit myself and strive to be a good father. As for children, if you decide not to have any more, Janey, Juan and Westin will be the only children in my life.»

Juan and Westin were the names Raegan had chosen for her unborn babies.

Raegan simply wanted her children to lead a carefree and simple life.

Frankly, Stefan's statement was touching. He was willing to give up having biological children and embrace all three as his own. Such dedication was rare.

But Raegan was hesitant to open her heart to love again. She had often heard that love led to pain. She had faced many challenges, and despite her efforts, she had yet to see a favorable outcome.

Suddenly, Raegan thought of Nicole, who had suffered greatly because of so-called love, her spirit broken and seemingly beyond repair.

However, now that she was free, Nicole seemed to be thriving.

Raegan then thought about her three children. She believed she could raise them well, but she was worried about the lack of a father figure and its possible effect on their development.

Noticing Raegan’s thoughtful look, Stefan reassured her, “Raegan, there’s no need to rush your response. We can address our current challenges first and move forward at a comfortable pace. Even if you choose not to, I’ll understand.”

Hearing this, Raegan felt increasingly self-conscious. “Stefan, my life is far from ordinary. I’m afraid I’ll end up disappointing you…” she confessed.

Although Stefan was undeniably noble, Raegan doubted his ability to reciprocate her romantic feelings. To her, Stefan had always been like a brother, much like Erick. Their bond felt familiar. She wondered if their relationship could evolve further without causing complications.

Responding now would be premature and irresponsible. Therefore, he was in a deep conflict.

Stefan smiled warmly. “Raegan, the choice is mine. You should not feel pressured. It is my decision to pursue you, and I am prepared to face the results of my actions. Please do not feel obligated. I have no intention of posing as a husband just to be close to you. That would be despicable. My wish is to convey my feelings with transparency and integrity. But you are always free to withdraw.”

Anyone who heard this conversation would undoubtedly be moved.

It wasn't just romantic interest. It was admiration for Stefan's candor.

In the face of such sincerity, Raegan felt unworthy of his affection. After a moment of reflection, she replied: “Stefan, I value your feelings very much…”

This type of beginning is usually a sign of rejection.

Stefan's expression darkened slightly. He hadn't pressed for an immediate answer because he feared a quick rejection. That would leave him without even the comfort of unrequited love.

"I'll think about what you said," Raegan told him.

Stefan was caught off guard, he didn't expect her to consider his proposal.

Raegan admitted that she didn't dislike Stefan. If she was considering starting a new family, Stefan would be an excellent partner. She also aspired to be a better person, someone who could effectively guide her children. Having a stable and understanding partner like Stefan would certainly make her life easier.

Back when she had only Janey in her life, Raegan thought she could handle herself. Now, with two more children on the way, her perspective had changed. Stefan was emotionally mature, although he tended to avoid grand statements.

After a pause, Stefan managed to say, “Thank you, Raegan.”
