Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1077:

His next step was to discover the mechanism for accessing the basement.

Hector quickly devised a strategy to revisit Davey's mansion.

However, on the day of the operation, Hector's entry was warned when he discovered that Davey had brought in skilled craftsmen from Aurora's royal tombs to install a dangerous "quicksand fire" system throughout the compound.

This system could engulf the entire village in flammable quicksand at the push of a button.

Davey had effectively transformed his mansion into a mausoleum. His actions were incomprehensible.

Hector hesitated, recognizing the serious risks to anyone trying to enter and to Casey, whom Davey had hidden in the basement.

Davey's extreme measures shocked everyone. Who would equip their home with such lethal traps? What could possibly drive someone to take such drastic measures?

As a result, their plan to rescue Casey had to be delayed.

Hector sought advice from many experienced craftsmen to decipher the quicksand fire system, hoping to identify a flaw.

After days of investigation, they concluded that there was no weak point.

The only option was to get Davey out and search his house while he was gone.

But Davey had rejected all reasons to leave his home in recent days.

This made everyone feel anxious and unsure about the next steps.

Raegan had been nervous about the situation for several days.

Noticing his distress, Stefan suggested they go to a restaurant for dinner, considering that Erick also needed to rest.

Although she wasn't particularly thrilled, Raegan felt compelled to agree, acknowledging Stefan's continued support, especially with issues involving her mother.

Today coincides with the Aurora Shaman Festival, a celebration of a female shaman and a commoner man who overcomes obstacles to fall in love and bless their community.

The festival had become a local version of Valentine's Day, attracting both singles and married couples for romantic evenings.

Stefan had chosen that day for his outing, hoping that the festival's unique activities would cheer Raegan up.

The festive decorations on the streets briefly distracted Raegan from her worries.

As they navigated through the bustle of people, Stefan remained alert. He held Raegan's hand tightly and used the other to shield her from bumping into people.

At one point, Raegan thought she saw a familiar figure on the steps of a store. However, upon closer inspection, the man only resembled Mitchel in height.

Raegan dismissed it as a mistake. Mitchel was still in rehab, far from being able to come here. Of course, he still needed another month of recovery, and would have to avoid strenuous activities for several more months.

“What were you looking at?” Stefan asked, noticing her stare.
