Chapter 1074

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1074:

? ? ? ? ?

Davey stood up and said, “Casey, eventually you'll realize what's right and what's wrong, and you'll regret what you've done.”

Casey's eyes rolled back as she whispered, "It's all my fault, yo."

He barely whispered: "I deserve to die."

But before Davey could react, a sickening “plop” ran through the air, and blood began to flow from the corners of his mouth. It was like a stuck faucet that couldn't be turned off.

Davey's eyes widened in terror and he fell to his knees, wrapping his arms around Casey in a desperate hug and screaming her name: "Casey!"

But Casey, in his arms, was still and silent. She bit her tongue, preferring death to captivity.

After a deafening silence, Davey picked up Casey and ran out of the room.

It was the second time that terror had gripped his heart. The last time had been when Casey had tried to take her own life by jumping off the balcony.

Casey's limping body hung from Davey's arms, her eyes closed, looking like a broken doll.

“Casey, no… Please don't leave me! Say something, anything!”

Davey's voice trembled with anguish. He had never felt such fear, such a dread that gripped his heart.

On the third day, Erick regained consciousness.

Just as Stefan had warned, the attacker's intent was to terrorize, not kill. The attack was a thinly veiled warning. They were to dig no further, or face devastating consequences.

But Erick was secretly delighted, for it meant that they were getting closer to the truth. The hope of finding Casey grew by the moment.

Raegan noticed her brother's intense concentration on unraveling Jimena's connections and gently encouraged him to take a breath and get some rest.

Given the severity of the injury, Raegan estimated that even with optimal care, full recovery would be a long process, possibly requiring up to three months.

Erick maintained an outward appearance of attention, but his true concentration lay on the ongoing dialogue with Stefan.

Her investigation focused on the esteemed aristocratic families Jimena had known and, after careful scrutiny, her suspicions focused on Davey as a person of interest.

They had no idea about the secret connection between Davey and Casey.

Erick's curiosity prompted him to contact his father and, after a tense phone call, the silence was finally broken, revealing a long-hidden truth that had been waiting to be told.

When the truth came out, Raegan and Erick fell silent.

It turned out that Davey had a deeply tangled history with his mother.

Given the circumstances, the connection between Davey and Casey's disappearance was undeniable. It was entirely possible that, at that very moment, Casey was being secretly harbored by Davey in the remote town of Aurora.

As soon as Raegan and Erick realized this possibility, they were elated. They were finally about to be reunited with their mother.
