Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1059:

? ? ? ? ?

With his last words, he applied pressure with his fingers, forcing the sizable sapphire into Jimena's throat.

The sapphire turned out to be too huge for Jimena's slender esophagus, preventing her fingers from moving freely.

Davey refrained from pushing it any deeper, opting instead to quickly grab a silver stick from the table, using it to forcefully push the collar down.

Finally, even the stick had been fully inserted.

With relentless determination, Davey declared, “This necklace has been tainted by your actions, so now it belongs to you alone!”

With that proclamation, he roughly threw Jimena to the ground.

Jimena could no longer make a sound, her only expression was one of torment with her eyes wide open, unable to find comfort even in death.

As Davey left Jimena's apartment, his assistant handed him a package of disinfectant wipes, a silent acknowledgment of the grimy surroundings.

Even though he had already washed his hands, Davey cringed at the thought of directly touching anything inside Jimena's apartment. With a few wipes, I signaled the assistant, who promptly brought two men to disinfect the place.

Davey then sank into the plush seat of the car and lit a cigar, the smoke wafting lazily around him.

Before he could finish, the assistant reappeared carrying a heavy bag, evidence of a thorough cleaning.

All evidence that Jimena had been murdered by Davey had been eliminated.

Outwardly, they declared that Jimena was another soul that had escaped from Aurora.

However, in this stratified society, families like Jimena's went unnoticed. Their disappearances were barely recorded.

Even if Jimena's family dared to report it, the authorities labeled it as illegal immigration, a common situation among the most disadvantaged in Aurora.

Aurora authorities enacted strict rules for departing residents, requiring a high emigration rate as a prerequisite for departure.

Otherwise, the exit was illegal.

For many, this rate was prohibitive and reached astronomical figures.

The measure served as a bulwark against the exodus of commoners and the underprivileged from Aurora, whose governance deficiencies could precipitate a mass departure if resources permitted, leaving the elite without manpower.

However, for those unable to amass such wealth even over several generations, escape remained an elusive dream, condemning them to a life sentence on the island, from the cradle to the grave.

After consulting with Davey, the assistant walked away from the truck, carrying Jimena's body in its confines.

As the cigarette burned between his fingers, Davey gestured for the driver to drive.

Through the tinted window, Davey saw a sleek black car pull up in front of Jimena's apartment.

A man dressed in a smart suit stepped out of the car, his polished black leather shoes clicking on the pavement. The passenger door opened, revealing a figure with chiseled features and a calculating gaze: Erick.

A wry smile played across Davey's lips. Casey's supposed son had inherited more than just genes. He had a knack for following clues, having successfully tracked down Jimena's apartment.
