Extra - One of a Kind (Final Part)

Charming In Handcuffs

*Keep reading after this for more*

Lindy's fingers brushed over my temples to collect a few strands of hair to pin them back. Loose curls fell down my back and against my shoulders. "Your hair is done and now your make-up."

"I don't want too much." I looked at myself in the vanity mirror, "I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest." I placed a hand over my chest, feeling my heart beat faint against my palm.

I saw Lindy's smile in the mirror. "That's a good thing."

"Sure about that?" I eyed her.

"You're excited." She started applying make-up, "I can tell. Maybe I won't even have to add blush because of how rosy your cheeks already are."

I closed my eyes and laughed lightly. "I'm definitely excited. But what if I fall while I'm walking? Won't that ruin it?"

"No, it'll definitely be a memorable moment." She laughed lightly, "I've only been to two weddings in my lifetime and the best part was always the look on the grooms face when he sees his bride for the first time." Then she snorted, "Predictable, I know. But there's a reason why it's predictable."

I nodded. "I can't wait to see him."

"Jack can't go wrong in a tux." She grinned, "There's just something about a guy in a tux or a suit."

"Very true." I agreed, "Where's my Grandma?"

Lindy leaned in close to apply more make-up. "I think in the backyard to make sure everything is set up and prepared. She'll probably be up here soon."

"Good. And I'd like my dad to come up here too."

"I think he's over at Jack's, but I'll make sure he comes up before."

"Thank you."

She finished up on my make-up and stepped away. "And while no one's up here, there's something I wanted to give you."

"Just wait until the reception-"

Lindy walked away and grabbed her bag from the floor. She dropped it on top of my bed and unzipped it. "I would, but this isn't really a reception gift." She dug around and pulled out a pink bag. I didn't need to read the label on it to know where the bag came from and the contents.

"Lindy-"

"What?" She walked back up to me, "Oh, come on. I knew you weren't going to buy any lingerie so I did it for you."

I timidly took the bag from her hand.

"And the great thing is, is that you can wear it under your dress. Jack will have his own present when he-"

"Lindy!" I smiled, but my cheeks were burning.

"Just look!" She gestured towards the bag.

Sighing, I opened up the bag and pulled out the contents. The first thing I looked at was the cropped corset. It was white and lacy, just like my dress. And of course, the underwear had to match. "They're beautiful. Thank you, Lindy." Holding both garments in one hand, I pulled her into a hug. "And you're right. I would have never bought these for myself."

She laughed and squeezed me gently. "Well go get those on so I can help you into your dress."

It didn't take long to change in the bathroom, but I was also cautious of my hair and make-up. Once I was changed, I walked back into my room. Lindy turned around, her eyes widening. "Damn! You look hot!"

I snorted, feeling my cheeks fall into a deeper blush. "Why thank you." I said is a playful tone.

Lindy plucked the dress from my bed and helped me step into it. She turned me around and buttoned it up. Just as I turned around, there was a knock on my door and Lindy when to answer it. She opened the door and I was surprised to see James step through. "James! I'm so glad you could make it!" I ran up to him, throwing my arms around him.

He laughed lightly and hugged me back carefully. "Of course I made it. Where else would I be?"

"I know you've been busy with your job and school." I stepped back and shrugged, "I wouldn't have been mad, ya know."

James nodded. "I know."

"I'm glad you're here."

"I am too." He smiled, "You look beautiful by the way."

My cheeks burned again. "Thank you."

"Are you ready?"

I exhaled and bobbed my head. "Definitely ready. Just anxious, I guess."

"I went to see Jack at his house before I came over here and he's really happy. The smile never left his face. I asked him the same thing and he slapped the side of my head and told me it was a stupid question."

"Wow, I'm glad you guys are getting along." I teased and rolled my eyes, "But you always did ask stupid questions."

"Hey!" He said defensively, "Anyway, I'm glad I can be here to see my best friend get married-"

"Excuse me?" Lindy interjected, stepping closer to us. "I saw her first, Loverboy."

James looked at Lindy and smirked. "Technically I did."

"Once when you were little doesn't count." She grinned.

"Both of you are children." I laughed, "Go find my dad and tell him to come up here."

They both glared at each other, but left to go find my dad. I'm glad they can be in the same room together without wanting to kill each other.

Minutes later, my door opened again and my grandma stepped through with a smile on her face. "Oh, Juliet," She stepped closer, "You look beautiful."

Grandma grabbed my hand and twirled me in a circle. "Stunning."

My lips curved into a broad smile. "Thank you." I looked down at the dress and pulled the skirt out with my hands, "I think the dress plays a pretty big part. So thank you for that too."

"Jack is really going to love you in that dress." She brushed her fingers down my cheek, "You look really happy today."

I bobbed my head. "I'm very happy, Grandma."

"As long as you're happy, I'm happy."

"I am."

My bedroom door opened again and my grandma took a step back. Lindy came in with my dad trailing behind. A smile placed itself in his lips when he saw me. He walked up to me, taking my hands in his. "You look beautiful, Honey."

"Thanks, Dad." I gave his hands a squeeze, "There's something I wanted to talk to you about, but I wasn't sure how'd you feel about it."

"What is it?"

"Would...would you want to walk me down the aisle?"

His eyes brightened and so did his smile. "I thought your grandpa was."

"He is. But I do have two sides." I played, "And it would mean a lot to have you both walk me down the aisle."

When his eyes started to water, I wanted to cry to.

"Dad, don't cry. You're going to make me cry."

He let out a laugh and shook his head. "I'm good."

"Yeah, please don't make her cry. We don't have time to fix her make-up." Lindy piped in.

It made me laugh. "Great."

After a couple of minutes, Lindy helped me put my shoes on. Just a simple pair of white pumps. And I didn't notice my grandma left until she came back in with a necklace hanging from her finger. "Something borrowed."

It was simple silver chain with a white opal pendent. I turned around and lifted my hair long enough for her to slip it around my neck and fasten it. Then Lindy came forward with a pair of earrings. "Something blue."

I opened my palm and she placed the earrings in. It was a pair of Sapphire earrings that sparkled. "They're so pretty." I breathed and placed them through my ears. "Thank you guys so much for this. Just...thank you for everything." I'm trying to keep myself from crying, but it's going horribly. But I haven't cried yet, but it was so difficult.

I knew when my grandpa stepped through my bedroom door it was time.

My heart was beating fast again and I had to take a deep breath.

"Are you ready?" My grandpa asked with a huge smile.

"I think so."

Grandpa held out his arm for me to take. "He's ready."

My heart squeezed and all I could do was nod.

I slipped my arm through his and we walked down the steps slowly so I didn't fall. When we stepped outside, I heard the music and Lindy walked ahead of me. My dad came to my other side and took my other arm.

This is it.

The moment Jack and I have been waiting for is here.

My heart squeezed.

They lead me around the house, following the white rose petals that would lead me to Jack. As I rounded the house, everyone's eyes were on me.

Including Jack's.

I couldn't even take in my surroundings because my gaze locked with his. He didn't smile though.

His eyes widened slightly, his mouth parted, and his eyes never left mine.

I walked slowly down and the closer I got, a smile slowly eased on his lips. It was a brilliant smile. One of the most brilliant I've seen. My breath hitched when I was only a foot away from Jack.

He stepped closer when we reached the small gazebo.

My dad kissed one of my cheeks and my grandpa kissed the other before Jack took both of my hands into his and my dad and grandpa took a seat. A spark ignited my skin and I squeezed Jack's hands.

I've never wanted anything so bad in my life.

To spend the rest of my life with Jack is all that invaded my mind in that moment. And the way he looked at me. There are no words to describe the way he looked at me in that moment either. I felt it. He didn't have to tell me anything. I could already feel everything he had to say.

The minister went through a few verses and it was sad that I could barely concentrate because all I could do was think about spending the rest of my life with Jack.

His crooked grin was enough for me to know he's probably thinking more about the honeymoon than anything.

When it was time for the vows, Jack said his first. We decided to write our own because we thought it would be a good idea. Honestly, it was at the time. But I know I'm going to freeze up.

Jack gave my palms a gentle squeeze before he spoke. "I was up until two in the morning last night trying to figure out the perfect word to describe the way I feel about you. But too many came to mind." He laughed nervously, "I realized there isn't just one. I love you so much and that's something words can't explain. It's a feeling I get here," He freed one of my hands and drew a circle over his heart, "Love is a feeling. It's rarely made up of words. I'm definitely better at showing than I am telling."

My cheeks warmed and I heard snickers in the crowd.

And Jack knew it too, but he continued. "I love you so much, Juliet. And I want to protect you and take care of you and just be there for you. I want to be there when you can't sleep, take care of you when you're sick, and share my stories with you because there's no one else I could imagine doing this with. I'm here for you and I don't plan on letting you go."

The first tears fell and I quickly swiped them away.

"It's your turn, Juliet." The minister said with a smile.

"Oh, yeah." I laughed nervously and wiped my eyes again. People started laughing again and my cheeks burned. "Unlike you, Jack McKinnon, I was up since four trying to figure out what I didn't like about you. But of course the only thing that came up was that you just forget to do the dishes."

Jack laughed and squeezed my hands.

"I'd do anything for you, Jack. There's nothing I wouldn't do. And if I couldn't do it, I'd figure out a way." I searched his light brown eyes and I noticed they started to water. The last thing I wanted was for Jack to cry. "You're right about love being a feeling because I feel it in my chest too. Every time I'm with you, every time I'm without you, I feel it. It's the best feeling in the world and I'm so happy you're the one I'm able to share it with. You've definitely brought something out in me that I didn't know existed. You've been there for me when I needed you and you've been there when I didn't even expect it. And I want to do the same for you, Jack. I want to wake up with you everyday and fall asleep next to you. I want to make sure you always have a smile on your face. And I know we're going to fight just like any couple, but as long as you're in my arms at the end of the day, it doesn't matter."

A tear fell down Jack's cheek and I stood on my toes to catch it. "I love you, McKinnon."

He laughed lightly and used his thumb to catch another one of his tears.

The next few minutes went by and we were exchanging rings. Jack timidly slid my down my left ring finger and then I did the same for him. We were finally pronounced husband and wife and Jack didn't hesitate to kiss me.

My smiled widened against his lips and I reacted to his kiss. I kissed him how I wanted to the second I saw him standing here. His kiss completely enveloped me, it was hard to notice the clapping behind us. He pecked my lips several times before sliding his fingers between mine.

We walked down the rose petal path and around the house where our car was waiting to take us to the reception. It's being held at the same hall we had our rehearsal dinner just last night.

The driver opened the door for us with a smile and I slid in first. Jack was right behind me and the driver closed the door.

Jack's lips were on mine again and then on my cheeks, my nose, my forehead. Anywhere he could kiss. "I love you, I love you, I love..." The last one got lost when his lips touched mine.

I pulled back and caressed his jaw. "I love you more."

"We're married." He buried his face in my neck and held me close, "I can't believe we're actually married." He left a tender kiss on my skin.

I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. "I can't either. But we did it. I feel like I'm going to explode because I'm so happy."

He leaned his head back and caught my gaze. "Not so nervous anymore I see."

"All my nerves went out the window the second I saw you standing there."

His smile stretched and he kissed me again. "I've never been so happy in my life. Not even when I was officially off house arrest."

I laughed lightly. "Good to know."

We shared another kiss and another set of laughs.

After our first dance, our cake, and a few toasts, we were back in our car and headed to a hotel for the night.

Tomorrow we will be flying somewhere Jack hasn't told me about and I couldn't wait. But right now I'm so tired I can't even think straight. My feet are killing me and I could probably fall asleep right now.

Jack held my hand on the way to the hotel, not saying a word because I think he's exhausted too.

When we got to the hotel, our driver helped get our luggage from the trunk and a bellhop appeared to take it to our room. We walked through the revolving doors and Jack walked up to the front desk of the lobby to check in.

I stayed close to his side, my hand tight in his grip.

"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon." She smiled at us and slid the room key to Jack, "Enjoy your stay with us."

Jack nodded once and thanked her.

Then he pulled me in a new direction. We practically ran to the elevator and I had enough energy to laugh. More like adrenaline. But it's starting to wear away unfortunately.

We rode the elevator up to the eighth floor. The doors glided open and we walked down the long hall quietly. Our room was located at the end of the hall and Jack didn't waste anytime opening the door.

Our luggage was already waiting for us.

We walked further in the room and I almost fell over.

We've stayed in really nice hotels before, but this one...it was amazing. The windows were large and covered the wall from top to bottom. The bed was made up of white and velvety red rose petals. There was a small plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. "Um..." I picked it up, "I'm not twenty one yet."

Jack walked up and took the bottle from my hands. "What they won't know won't hurt." He grinned and didn't hesitate to open it up and pour two glasses.

"Don't you think we had enough at the reception?" I laughed and took a sip anyway.

"We can't pass up a good bottle of champagne." He smirked and downed the whole glass in one swift motion.

I narrowed my brows and took another sip of mine.

Jack removed his tux jacket and threw it on the table. He proceeded to kick his shoes off and tugged off the bow-tie.

I sat my drink down on the table and walked to the bed to take my shoes off. My feet were aching and it felt so good to finally take the heels off. I stood again and I felt a foot shorter when standing close to Jack again.

"We should totally eat those strawberries." I stepped closer to him and started to unbutton his shirt, "Don't want this to get dirty." I joked and tugged it free from his arms.

Jack stepped closer and wrapped his arms around my back to get to the buttons on the back of my dress. "We definitely don't want this to get dirty."

"Definitely not." I played and undid his belt.

He smiled down at me and popped the last button free. He slid the straps down my arms teasingly slow with a wicked grin. He bent his head forward and kissed my bare shoulder. "You're absolutely beautiful." He bit down on the junction between my neck and shoulder and a moan slipped from my lips.

The dress slowly slid down until it pooled at my feet. "Still charming as ever."

He leveled his face with mine and smiled. "Nothing but." He slid an arm around my back and pulled me against his chest, "Let's make this a little more official."
