"Hey, isn’t it time for Shye Crowley’s channel launch? Why do I only see a blue screen?"

After a successful week of advertising, nearly the entire city learned about Shye’s holographic television channel launch.

However, despite knowing who he was, not everyone had the time or interest to watch him.

At least not for now.

Still, he managed to gather quite a number of viewers—around 150,000, including his guildsmen.

It was way smaller than his target number, but it will do for now.

The channel launch was running late, hence, the interested viewers slowly grew bored.

A few even left, thinking that waiting for Shye Crowley’s channel launch was nothing but a huge waste of time.

It was only when a few hundred had already left that the blue screen momentarily turned black.

"Hello? Why the heck isn’t this thing connecting? Oh, wait, I’m live! Hello, everyone! Welcome to my grand channel launch. I’m your host and star, Shye Crowley.

A young man’s voice resounded from the holographic television screen, capturing the attention of not only his guildsmen from the lobby but also the viewers watching from their homes.

He had never been a shy youngster, so he didn’t appear awkward while talking to the live recording crystal, as if he were genuinely speaking to his viewers.

"Oh? It’s really him! Hahaha! I like his introduction!"

"Show us new achievements? Using this channel of his? What would he gain from this aside from fame?"

Shye’s words naturally stirred up a commotion within the guild.

However, before the commotion could escalate, the viewers’ attention was recaptured by the appearance of an enormous sleeping monster on the screen—an (A) ranked Poison Basilisk that most adventurers had never encountered face to face.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Its body wasn’t as thick as that of the (A-) ranked Tempest Wyrm, however, it was around fifty meters long and was protected by absurdly thick green and purple colored scales.

"H-Hey, I know he defeated an (A) ranked Ember Wyvern, but isn’t a Venomscale Basilisk an apex (A) ranked creature? He’d be lucky if he could even pierce those protective scales!"

"Indeed. However, this youngster is clever. Look, the basilisk is sleeping. If he can sneak in a solid hit or two before it wakes up, the fight might become manageable for him. After all, he’s quite talented. Who knows what tricks he has up his sleeve?"

Unfortunately, their speculations were off the mark because today, Shye was determined to entertain everyone by planning something outrageous and almost foolish—something none of them would have expected from such a talented youngster.

"As many of you know, Venomscale Basilisks despise the scent of this particular flower so much that even a whiff of it can give them stomach and head pains," Shye explained, appearing on the screen with a goofy yet confident smile.

"That’s why I had a friend collect plenty of these Veeble flowers and extract their essence, which we’ve stored in this large vial."

At this moment, his viewers were perplexed and slightly anxious, with a single thought echoing in their minds: "Just strike the damned sleeping basilisk now or risk losing your opportunity!"

Hence, witnessing Shye’s subsequent actions, the viewers’ eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

Armed with confidence and scent-suppressing powders, Shye sneakily walked closer to the sleeping creature’s nose, slowly removing the vial’s cover under hundreds of thousands of stupefied faces.

Then, in one swift motion, Shye vigorously poured the contents into the sleeping basilisk’s nostrils, ensuring each received a generous dose.

Upon inhaling the potent, repulsive scent of Veeble flower extract, the Basilisk was abruptly roused, unleashing a furious roar.

Unfortunately, before it was even able to finish its roar of anger, it felt a strong blunt force from the left side of its face, followed by another from the right.

This was Shye using both greatswords to slap the cr*p out of the Venomscale Basilisk’s face, stifling its furious cry.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! DID HE ACTUALLY JUST DO THAT TO AN APEX (A) RANKED MONSTER?!"

Shye’s guild members had diverse reactions to witnessing his audacious actions.

Some remained silent in disbelief, a few cheered with excitement after watching a solid one-two combo to the creature’s face, while others laughed and chuckled at the misfortune of the Venomscale Basilisk, knowing Shye’s greatsword strike had landed on its face with satisfying force. Slithering fiercely towards Shye, the Venomscale Basilisk pounced like an agile cheetah at the last moment.

Unfortunately, swift and slightly unpredictable as its attack was, it landed on nothing but solid ground as Shye easily dodged by dashing sideways.

Then, before the enormous serpentine could even regain its posture, a young man had already appeared close to its neck.

Using one of his [Epic]-tier ultimate skills, Shye’s offensive prowess soared, causing his strength attribute to surge by 200% for one and a half seconds, while the skill also granted his swords unparalleled sharpness and doubled his agility attribute for one second.

As a result, despite the basilisk’s absurdly tough venom scales, its head was severed and rolled to the ground.

This left the viewers of his channel momentarily stunned in awe and disbelief before they erupted into cheers from wherever they were watching the broadcast.
