Chapter - 4

Author POV:

" Wait "

" I want to tell something else "

" Haa ...tell na  " said Naina with anxiety in her voice .

" Uhm .. you.. actually you look pretty today like an angel " said Arjun shyly .

After hearing these words , a red blush formed on cheeks of Naina . She TRIED to control her blush but it was visible to Arjun .

" Thankyou " Naina said looking into Arjun's eyes . They both had an eye contact for few seconds forgetting that they were in the temple .

" Shit I forgot " Naina said remembering why she came to him .

" Arjun aunty said to bring the saree which we have to keep in Pooja . She might be looking for us we need to go ." Naina in a hurry took the saree from Arjun and went  inside the temple .

After giving the saree to aunty Naina sat beside Sri and Arjun sat infront of his parents who were doing hawan .

When the hawan fire was raising the fog coming from the hawan was also getting more making Arjun cough .

" Beta I think you should change your place, go and sit beside Naina . The fog is making you cough" said Arjun's father .

" Yes Bhai come this side " said Sri taking Naina towards her and making place beside her as Sri was sitting beside a pillar to get support.

Arjun got up from his seat and sat beside Naina making her nervous.

After a while doing the hawan and praying to God ,the Pooja was completed .

The priest gave them some sacred threads to tie . As the priest tied the thread to Arjun he went back making place for Sri. Then he saw Naina who was standing behind with the thread in her hand .

Arjun went to her and said

" Give it to me , let me tie it for you"  he took the thread from her hand and tied it . All this time Naina was just admiring her  man of dreams taking care of her .

After the Pooja completed the family took the Prasad and left to the seghals home .

(At seghals home )

"Ugh I m so tired" said Sri sitting on the sofa . Then all the members joined her on the sofa after drinking the water .

" Naina beta I think your brother is coming to take you back  ? What time is he coming? " Asked Sri's mother .

" Aunty i think he will be coming by the evening he is on his way back from trip"

" Pack all your stuff properly and don't forget anything beta , I made so many things for you and kept near your luggage. "

" Sure aunty how can I forget " said Naina hugging her .

All this time Arjun was thinking only one thing . Naina is going back .

(In the evening)

Everyone was resting in the living room on the sofa and watching tv . Then the door bell rang and Sri got up to take the door .

At the door was standing Arun Dixit, with a awkward face.

" Oh hey Arun how are you? Please come in " Said Sri as she saw Arun standing outside.

" I m fine sri what about you?" Said Arun coming inside nervously.

" Arun beta finally after so many years we are able to see you even after living in the same city " said Sri's father making Arun give a nervous laugh.

" Bhai you came " Naina ran towards her brother and hugged him .

" Come beta sit, I ll bring something to drink and  to eat "  said Sri's mother getting up from her seat .

" No aunty, I m fine and we will leave now . Naina bring you luggage we are going " said Arun in a hurry .

" But beta please sit for some time and talk with us " said sri's mother with a sad face .

" Not this time aunty some other time sorry"

" But beta.." as sri's father was going to say something but he got interrupted by Arjun.

" Ma papa why are you forcing them so much when they don't want to stay, don't force anyone to do anything" said Arjun in a anger tone.

This made everyone shocked in the room and silent .

Seeing the silence Naina understood that it's better to leave than to make things more awkward between them when they were just again getting close .

" Yeah I think Bhai is right we should leave now. Wait Bhai i will bring my luggage" said Naina going towards the room followed by sri .

" Yaar Naina what is this. Please stay some more time convince your brother to stay na " said Sri with almost tears in her eyes

" No sri i think we should leave now .

Didn't you see how your brother spoke down . I think they both still are not in good term since then . I don't want to make it more worse. And why are you making sad faces we will meet again soon and I think we might go to the same college. I will go back and will try my best to make my parents agree for it . But for now I think we should go " saying this Naina also got tears in her eyes .

Both the friends hugged eachother really tight and thought of all the happy moments they spent together in the little span of time .

After breaking the hug Naina picked her luggage and sri brought her other bag down stairs .

When they got down they saw an awkward Arun sitting on the sofa opposite to Arjun . This made Naina and Sri more tense and Naina went near her brother .

Seeing Naina coming towards him , Arun got up and took the luggage from sri and Naina .

" Okay uncle aunty thank you for hosting me i hade a great time spending here " said Naina hugging them .

" Beta please come often and visit us . I will miss you so much " said Sri 's mother kissing Naina's forehead.

" Sure aunty i will definitely come again and spend time with you all "

Then Naina looked towards Arjun who was still in anger but looking at Naina.

" Bye Arjun " said Naina forwarding her hand for a shakehand .

" Umm bye Naina " said Arjun shaking her hand .

After Naina hugged sri for one more time and the seghals came out to bid them bye towards the cab .

Arun set all the luggage in the car and sat front beside the driver and Naina sat back alone .

Everyone bided bye to them and they came back inside the home . After coming inside the home Arjun moved towards his room in anger making everyone look at him.

" I think they still are not okay seeing eachother" said Arjun's father to Arjun 's mother Making her nod at his statement . " I thought everything will be good now as the children are grown up but I think i was wrong. We still can't be the same old families" said Arjun's mother sighing.

While all this was happening in the living room Arjun was leaning on his bed in his room and thinking.

Arjun POV:

She left . Her brother came to my house. Arun came to my house . Even we both study in the same college I don't like to see his face even accidentally. Whenever I see his face fire just burns in my body and the urge to punch his face , but I don't know why I have so much hatred towards him.

But what hurts is Naina didn't want to stay here . She said going from here was correct , her brother was correct. Didn't she like to stay in this house close to me .

I think i was just overthinking that she also have the same feeling towards me but no she just walked out with her brother leaving me with all her thoughts .

I think i should stay away from her . Yes that's better . Why should I become majnu for her and roam around her when I can have  all the girls  in my college roaming around me . I won't think about her from now .

But .. i think  I like her . No no Arjun get this thing out of your brain .

I think i should focus more on my studies and works so I can distract my self .

(After thinking so much Arjun got up from his bed and tried to distract himself but he failed . All this time he was thinking about her . Her beautiful anarkali suit, her long hair , her eyes , her soft cheeks . He then went on his bed and drifted into sleep )

Naina POV:

( In the car )

I don't want to go so soon leaving sri , leaving uncle aunty and also leaving Arjun . I was finally talking to him and everything was so smooth that i thought he liked me but he said I should leave .

He didn't even hesitate to say .

He can't say like that to my brother . I can't see my brother being so uncomfortable there . And I think what I did was right .

He also wanted the same thing  that i should go with my brother. No problem. But I don't know why it hurted so much to my heart that I was on a urge to cry .

( Thinking all this Naina didn't even knew when she started to sobbing)

" Naina bacha you are crying? What happened" asked Bhai .

Shit was i crying.

" Nothing Bhai i was not crying"

" Don't lie Naina I can see your eyes filled with water . Are you missing sri ?"

" Ahh yes Bhai I m missing her but no problem I can manage " i lied to him .

" Are you sure Naina ? Do you need anything "

" No Bhai I m ok . I will sleep for sometime and I think I will be good after sleep " .

" No wait until you eat something "

" No bhai I not hungry. I don't want to eat anything, I'll just sleep "

" Okay bacha good night "

" Good night Bhai " I said and closed my eyes . And soon sleep drifted me to my dreamland .
