Chapter - 9

Present

Sri POV :

It's been a month since Naina left from delhi and I already miss her so much . As we have decided we both gave the entrance exam of the university and today is the result day which scares the hell out of me .

A person like me always gets chills when it comes to just 2 things .

1 - the studies with its bestie exams

2 - those street dogs which come out of nowhere and scare me .

Usually I like dogs , not all dogs scare me . I like playing with them but those dogs which give a staring competition to me when I walk on the road alone , makes me a scared cat in front of it .

Anyways, Naina as always isn't scared of the result as she is a topper . If I say this topper dialogue to her then she will give a flying chappal to me but she is good student who works hard.

But on the other hand , her best friend, the most interesting person is a one day batsman. So I am really scared , what if I don't get selected into the college.

All our dreams will be scattered.

To keep my brain distracted from theses negative vibes I got up and made my bed . I went to the washroom and got ready for the day .

Today my mood was to wear a simple white  top with a blue jeans. A perfect pair .

After getting ready I go down stairs and joined my brother who was sitting on the sofa and doing something on his phone . I sat beside him and laid my head on his shoulders .

His biecep is really hard as he is a gym freak . He builds a strong body and definitely looks good. I don't know whose the lucky girl to marry her , she is getting a great husband.

As I lay my head on his shoulder he asks " yo bro what's up , why does your face look like so stressed today. "

" The day has arrived bro , my future will be decided whether I have to study in a prestigious college like you or go and marry a rich guy who can buy me everything " .

After completing those words I get a tight slap on my head  from my mother who gives me my morning tea .

"Why do you always find a reason to escape from the studies. Mark my words Sri you won't be married unless you are settled in your life "

Ok here we go again .

" Sumi , why are you scolding sri in the early morning. Look she just woke up . Do you want your daughter to have a bad day ."

" Ohhh, so is it ok if I scold her in the afternoon. "

Bang , here goes my savage mom with her one liner . After hearing her words my brother starts laughing and rolls on the sofa only to get a cold glare from my dad .

" What I meant was to stop you from scolding her , not to change the timing ". " Whatever,  your words doesn't stop me . I m going to prepare breakfast. Tell me want you all want to have ."

" I want to have dosa " i say quickly as I hear her words .

" I want oats ." Says my boring brother with his boring breakfast.

" Anything which makes you ease " flirts my dad with my mom and she blushes and moves into the kitchen .

It's normal for me and my brother to listen my dad flirt with my mom as it shows how much do they love each other. They are so cute.

As I was thinking about them I hear my brother screaming at me .

" Sri are you even listening to me "

" Sorry , yes I m what were you talking ".

" The results are out bro ."

My heart just skips a beat and I get scared. My brother takes the slip form the drawer of the table which have my hall ticket number to check the results .

Just in few seconds my parents also reach the sofa . My mom starts praying to all the gods she believes.

On the other hand my dad holds my hand to give me strength.

And then my brother enters the hall ticket number and clicks the enter button .  I cross my fingers and just stare away not to look into it .

And I hear a loud gasp from my brother. Did I fail ? No it can't happen .

I  look at my brother who was looking at me with a shock . I can't understand his facial expressions.

I ask him " did I qualify?".

He says nothing and stares at me .

" Why is your mouth shut Arjun say something did she qualify?" Asks my dad .

" She got 89 percentage"

"What"  both mom and dad shouts at the same time .

Does it mean I qualified. Yes it does mean . I qualified the entrance exam . I can't believe.

" Yayy , i qualified the exam " i started shouting and climbed on the sofa and started dancing.

Both my mom and dad were so happy and my brother joined dancing with me on the sofa .

My mother went near into the Pooja room and thanked all the gods. She bought the sweets which were offered to the gods and made me eat it . And she hugged me and congratulated me .

After that my father hugged and congratulated " congratulations sri , now you can study in your favorite College as you wished for " and kissed on my forehead .

And then my brother hugged " congratulations sri I m so happy for you. Now we can go together to the college "

" Yes Bhai even Naina will join us . Wait Naina , what happened to her result check her result also "

And my brother took out his phone and started to enter Naina 's hall ticket number.

" Yes she also qualified "

" Yess " i shouted and started to dance . I was so happy. Finally Naina and I will be going to the same college and our friendship will grow more stronger and stronger.

" I m so happy that Naina also qualified , I m going to call her " I said and ran towards my room .

I took out my phone and was about to call her but my phone started ringing and it displayed her name .

I picked up the call immediately and shouted " Nainaaaa , congratulationsssss we both have qualified" " yes sri I can hear you, no need to shout or else my ears will start bleeding " .

" How can I stay calm Naina?"

" Even i m also so happy and do you know what's the best part we are coming to delhi in a week to discuss about the admission"

" What ? Really. "

" Yes dad just said that we can go in a week to talk about the admission. Me mom and dad we all will be in Delhi and just imagine the old families. How happy uncle and aunty will feel when they will meet my parents "

" That's true yaar . Dad really misses uncle . He will be so happy and we can join the college and enjoy our college life . "

" Yes  sri okay now I will talk to you later mom is calling me down  see you soon "

"Very soon , byee ".

And I go downstairs to inform everyone about the exciting news .

Arjun POV :

Today's best news is that both Sri and Naina have qualified their entrance exam for the college. I m happy now Naina will be joining the same College where I ll be studying.

Naina scored 91 percentage where Sri scored 89 percentage. I was really shocked and happy when Sri scored such a great percent.

As ma, papa and I were chilling in the hall Sri ran downstairs shouting.

" Everyone, listen to me . I have something exciting to share "

I can definitely say it either about any new thing she has seen on online and will ask us to buy it , as miss princess has scored a great score or it will be about "Naina" .

" Calm down sri wait, don't run . Take a deep breath see you are not able to breathe properly" says mom as she is fed of her excitement.

" How can I calm down mom , when the Dixit's are coming to Delhi"

See as I said . Wait! What ? Dixits are coming to Delhi. Suddenly . Does it mean..

" What.. who told you beta did Naina say about it ?" Asks papa .

" Yes papa Naina just now told me that uncle is planning to come to Delhi. I can't believe, finally, he has decided to come to Delhi after so many years "

" Even I can't believe. If this is true then I can't me more happy than anyone else in this world "

That's true dad will be the most happiest when he will meet uncle . It has been so long now they have met each other . Just a call doesn't make person happy. Afterall they are best friends.

Just then my dad gets a call and yes it's from veerendra  uncle .

" Ha veer  , yes.. yeah I just got to know , sri told me . So when are you guys planning to come ?...... Sure why not ..... Is that even a question why are you even asking it you can stay in our house it's yours too . Yeah okay ..... Send me the details after you book the flights...... Okay .. bye "

"What happened veer , when are they coming to Delhi" asks mom.

"They are coming in two days. They just decided. Once they will book a flight he said he will confirm us . All three of them are coming to Delhi and will be staying for 2 days."

" Yess 2 days it will be a lots of fun . After so many years " definitely it will be fun Sri, if that one person doesn't come to my house then everything will be fun .

I hope I won't see that one Dixit face in these 2 days .
