๋࣭ ⭑✏ˎˊ˗Chapter 2

Billionaire's Cute Obsession [Taekook]

The heavy doors of the private lounge inside Kim University swung shut with a soft click. The luxurious space was reserved for only one person-Kim Taehyung.

Unlike the rest of the university, which was modern and sleek, this room was filled with an air of classic luxury. The deep mahogany furniture, the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grand campus, and the elegant black-and-gold interior screamed wealth and power.

Taehyung shrugged off his coffee-stained Gucci blazer, tossing it onto the plush leather couch. His lips twitched in amusement as he recalled the adorable sight of Jeon Jungkook-his little bunny-stumbling over his words, his big doe eyes filled with panic.

Cute.

Taehyung loosened the cuffs of his white shirt and unbuttoned the top of his collar, his mind still replaying the scene. It had been so long since something-or rather, someone-had caught his attention like this. He had seen thousands of people bow before him, try to impress him, or even fear him. But Jungkook was different.

He was pure. Innocent. Untouched by the world Taehyung lived in.

And that intrigued him.

A soft knock interrupted his thoughts.

"Come in," Taehyung said lazily, rolling up his sleeves.

One of his bodyguards, Choi, stepped inside and bowed. "Sir, we've gathered the information you requested about Jeon Jungkook."

Taehyung smirked, taking the folder Choi handed him. He flipped it open and scanned the details.

Jeon Jungkook. 20 years old. First-year student, majoring in Arts. Lives with his mother, Jeon Minji, in a small apartment outside the city. Father passed away when he was young. Family is financially struggling.

Taehyung's eyes darkened slightly.

Poor. That much was obvious from Jungkook's oversized, slightly worn sweater and the way he clutched his books like they were the most valuable things in the world.

But there was something... endearing about it.

Taehyung closed the folder with a satisfied hum and walked toward his wardrobe-a collection of custom-made designer suits hanging in neat rows. He pulled out a fresh black Gucci blazer, slipped it on, and straightened his tie in front of the mirror.

"Interesting," he murmured to himself, adjusting his collar.

His lips curled as he thought about his father-Kim Jaehyun, the university's owner.

His old man would absolutely hate Jungkook.

And that made Taehyung even more amused.

With a final glance at his reflection, Taehyung smirked.

"Let's see how this plays out, Bunny."

---

Jungkook's POV...

Jungkook practically sprinted to his lecture hall, his heart still pounding from the terrifying encounter with Taehyung.

"I-I can't believe it," he muttered under his breath, his little hands clutching his books tightly. His bunny ears-well, not real ones, but his metaphorical, invisible bunny ears-were practically twitching in nervousness.

Kim Taehyung.

He had bumped into Kim freaking Taehyung.

And spilled coffee on him.

And called him "sir."

And Taehyung had... smirked at him.

Jungkook shivered, shaking his head. No, no, no. I need to focus.

By the time he reached the lecture hall, the professor was already speaking. Jungkook gulped and hesitated before slowly opening the door.

Creak.

The entire room turned to look at him.

Jungkook froze.

The professor, a strict-looking man in his fifties, Professor Park, narrowed his eyes.

"JEON JUNGKOOK!," he said in a dangerously low voice. "You are late."

Jungkook's ears drooped (again, metaphorically).

"I-I'm sorry, sir," he mumbled, stepping inside and quickly trying to find his seat.

"Sorry?" Professor Park scoffed. "Do you think this is high school, Jungkook!? This is Kim University. We do not tolerate tardiness here. Do you have any idea what happens to students who disrespect time in this institution?"

Jungkook swallowed hard. He could feel his friends-Eunwoo, Soobin, and Minho-staring at him in concern from their seats.

"Sir, I-"

"Enough," the professor cut him off. "Since you are new, I will give you a special introduction to our discipline."

Jungkook's stomach dropped.

"Go to the principal's office," the professor ordered.

Jungkook paled.

The principal's office.

Which meant-

Kim Jaehyun.

Kim Taehyung's father.

Oh, no no no no no.

His feet felt like jelly as he slowly turned around and walked out, his head hanging low.

Eunwoo whispered, "Good luck, bro," as he passed.

Jungkook wanted to cry.

---

The walk to the principal's office felt like a death march.

He had just started university, and now he was about to get scolded by the man who owned the entire place.

When he reached the grand wooden doors labeled "Principal Kim Jaehyun", he hesitated.

Should he run away? No. That would be worse.

Taking a deep breath, he raised his tiny fist and knocked softly.

"Come in," a deep voice called.

Jungkook pushed open the door, his bunny heart thudding violently.

The office was as intimidating as he had expected. Dark wood, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a massive desk in the center, and Kim Jaehyun sitting behind it-a man who looked just as powerful as his son.

Kim Jaehyun's sharp eyes locked onto Jungkook, scanning him from head to toe.

Jungkook instinctively bowed. "S-Sir, I-"

"You're Jeon Jungkook," Jaehyun cut him off.

Jungkook blinked. "Y-Yes, sir."

Jaehyun leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled together. His expression was unreadable, but his voice was cold.

"Professor Park sent you here for being late. Do you know what we do to late students in Kim University?"

Jungkook gulped. "P-Punish them?"

Jaehyun raised an eyebrow. "At least you're not clueless."

Jungkook wanted the floor to swallow him whole.

Jaehyun sighed. "Since this is your first offense, I won't expel you."

Jungkook almost collapsed in relief.

"But you need to be disciplined," Jaehyun continued. "You will be assigned extra volunteer work for the rest of the semester."

Jungkook's bunny ears (again, metaphorically) perked up. That... wasn't as bad as he had expected.

"Yes, sir! Thank you, sir!" he quickly bowed again.

Jaehyun waved a hand dismissively. "You're dismissed."

Jungkook practically sprinted out.

As soon as he left, Jaehyun's assistant hesitated before speaking.

"Sir... do you really think giving a punishment to Jungkook is necessary?"

Jaehyun didn't answer immediately. He simply stared at the door Jungkook had exited from.

And then-

He smirked.

"Let's see if he can survive in my world."

---

Meanwhile, as Jungkook hurried down the hallway, trying to process what had just happened, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He pulled it out and froze.

A text.

From an unknown number.

"Did my father scold you too much, Bunny? - T"

Jungkook's breath hitched.

T?

As in... Taehyung?!

His fingers trembled as he stared at the message.

His entire world was really turning upside down.
