๋࣭ ⭑✏ˎˊ˗Chapter 16

Billionaire's Cute Obsession [Taekook]

The room was quiet.

Jungkook’s breathing had steadied, his soft frame curled up under the warm blanket. The painkillers had finally eased his exhaustion, letting him drift into much-needed sleep.

Taehyung, however, couldn’t rest.

He sat on the edge of the bed, his fingers gently brushing Jungkook’s hair, watching the peaceful expression on his face. But inside, Taehyung was burning.

I should’ve protected him.

His grip tightened.

Jungkook had come to him, trusting him, feeling safe with him—and yet, Taehyung had failed to keep him safe in his own company.

Unforgivable.

Taehyung slowly stood up, grabbing his phone. His voice was cold when he spoke.

“Find him.”

The bodyguards on the other end didn’t need further instructions. Within minutes, they reported back.

“We found him, sir.”

“Bring him to my office.”

His personal office. Where justice would be served.

—

The bastard stood in front of him, restrained by the guards, his face filled with arrogance—until he saw Taehyung.

Taehyung didn’t speak.

Didn’t ask questions.

Didn’t need to hear excuses.

He walked over to his desk, opened a drawer, and pulled out a sleek, black gun. The weight of it was familiar in his hands.

The man’s confidence wavered. “L-Look, sir, I can expl—”

Click.

The barrel of the gun pressed against his forehead.

A smirk played on Taehyung’s lips, but his eyes were as deadly as a stormy sea.

“Touching what’s mine…” His voice was eerily soft, almost a whisper. “Comes with consequences.”

Before the man could beg, scream, or even breathe—

BANG.

The shot echoed through the room.

The bastard collapsed lifelessly onto the floor.

Taehyung exhaled, lowering the gun, his expression unreadable. He felt nothing. The only thing that mattered now was making sure Jungkook would never be scared again.

“Clean this mess,” he ordered the guards.

They nodded, dragging the body away.

—

Jungkook’s POV

A loud noise jolted him awake.

Jungkook’s eyes fluttered open, his heart pounding. It took a second to register where he was—in Taehyung’s hidden room, safe. But the sound… a gunshot.

His body tensed. Ignoring the pain in his legs, he stumbled to his feet, pushing through the hidden shelf door into Taehyung’s office.

The moment he stepped inside, he froze.

On the floor, lifeless and still, lay the man who had hurt him.

And in Taehyung’s hand—a gun.

Jungkook’s breath hitched. For the first time since he met Taehyung, fear crept into his heart.

Taehyung… killed him?

His vision blurred with fresh tears. Was this really the same Taehyung who held him so gently?

His body shook, the weight of everything crashing down.

Taehyung turned around, seeing Jungkook standing there, his eyes wide with fear and betrayal.

In an instant, Taehyung placed the gun back on his desk and walked toward Jungkook.

Before Jungkook could step back, Taehyung pulled him into his arms.

"Shhh," Taehyung whispered, stroking the back of his head. "You're safe, baby. He’s gone. He can never hurt you again."

Jungkook sobbed against his chest.

"But… you…" His voice was shaky.

Taehyung leaned down, cupping his face gently. "I told you, Jungkook… No one touches what’s mine." His deep voice sent shivers down Jungkook’s spine.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment, looking up at him with red, watery eyes. Then, he did something unexpected.

He pouted.

"Then…" he mumbled, shifting closer, "…if I’m yours, I need a kiss."

Taehyung blinked, caught off guard. Then—he chuckled.

"My baby wants a kiss?" His voice softened, the darkness in his eyes replaced with warmth.

Jungkook nodded shyly.

Taehyung smiled, then leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss on Jungkook’s lips.

It was sweet, warm, comforting. Not rushed, not demanding.

Just love.

When they pulled away, Jungkook hid his face in Taehyung’s chest, making small happy noises.

Taehyung chuckled, running his fingers through Jungkook’s hair. "You’re too cute for your own good."

Jungkook giggled softly before his body grew tired again. Taehyung guided him to the couch in his office.

"Here, sit," Taehyung said, wrapping a blanket around him.

Jungkook curled up like a sleepy bunny, peeking at Taehyung through his lashes.

"You’re working?" he asked sleepily.

Taehyung nodded, grabbing his files. "Yeah, baby. Just a little."

Jungkook yawned, nestling deeper into the couch.

"Work hard, Taetae," he murmured sleepily.

Taehyung glanced at him, smiling softly. "Sleep well, my baby bunny."

And with that, he turned to his work—while his precious bunny rested peacefully beside him.
