Billionaire's Cute Obsession [Taekook]
The room was warm, bathed in a soft golden glow from the dim lights, casting a cozy atmosphere around them. The sound of quiet chatter and occasional laughter filled the space as Taehyung and Jungkook sat at the small round table, their dinner spread before them.
Taehyung had just returned from the door, placing the food down carefully. He had slipped a small tip into the waitressâs hand before closing the door, making sure their moment wouldn't be interrupted.
Jungkook, still shy about his attireâjust a silk shirt and boxersâsat with his legs tucked beneath him, trying to focus on the food instead of the way Taehyungâs eyes seemed to flicker with amusement every time he looked at him.
âEat, baby,â Taehyung murmured, picking up his chopsticks and placing a piece of beef onto Jungkookâs plate. âYou must be starving.â
Jungkook gave him a small nod, hesitating before taking a bite. The familiar taste of warm kimchi fried rice filled his mouth, comforting and nostalgic.
As they ate, Taehyung studied Jungkook carefully. His bunny had been quieter than usual, his eyes focused on his food, lost in thought.
âBunny,â Taehyung called gently.
Jungkook blinked up at him. âHmm?â
Taehyung rested his chin on his palm. âWhat are you thinking about?â
Jungkook hesitated, fingers playing with his chopsticks. He chewed on his bottom lip before finally whispering, âMy mom.â
Taehyungâs heart softened instantly. âYou miss her?â
Jungkook nodded slowly. âYeah⦠a lot.â
His voice was quiet, but Taehyung could hear the sadness beneath it. He reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind Jungkookâs ear.
âTell me about her, baby,â he said softly.
Jungkookâs eyes flickered with warmth at the request. âShe was the best,â he murmured. âShe worked so hard just to make sure I had food to eat, even when she went hungry.â His voice wavered slightly. âShe never complained⦠never let me see how tired she was. She just smiled and told me to dream big.â
Taehyung felt his chest tighten at the image. He could picture a younger Jungkook, small and innocent, holding onto his motherâs hand, looking up at her with wide eyes filled with love.
âShe must have been really proud of you,â Taehyung said softly, brushing his thumb against Jungkookâs wrist.
Jungkook gave a tiny smile. âI hope so.â
Taehyung squeezed his hand. âYouâre strong, baby. But you donât have to carry everything alone anymore.â
Jungkookâs eyes flickered up to meet his, wide and filled with something Taehyung couldnât quite name.
âHyungâ¦â Jungkook whispered, suddenly nervous. He fidgeted with the edge of his shirt before shyly glancing down at his lap.
Taehyung tilted his head. âWhat is it, bunny?â
Jungkookâs cheeks flushed pink. His fingers curled into the fabric of his silk shirt as he hesitated. And then, in the smallest, most hesitant voice, he askedâ
âWhen⦠when are we getting married?â
Taehyung froze.
For a moment, the world seemed to stop.
Jungkook was still looking down, his face burning, his bunny teeth biting his lip nervously. His heart was pounding, unsure if he shouldâve even asked.
Taehyung blinked, stunned, before a slow, warm smile spread across his lips. His heart melted at the sight of his bunny being so shy yet so bold at the same time.
âBaby,â Taehyung murmured, reaching out to cup Jungkookâs face. He gently lifted his chin, making their eyes meet. âYou really want to marry me?â
Jungkook swallowed hard, his throat dry. âI-Iâ¦â His voice was barely a whisper. âYes.â
Taehyungâs heart did a little flip.
âBunny,â he chuckled, his thumb brushing over Jungkookâs blushing cheek. âI would marry you in a heartbeat if I could.â
Jungkook blinked up at him. âR-Really?â
Taehyung nodded, his voice warm and sincere. âOf course, baby. Butâ¦â He sighed, running a hand through his hair. âYour university, bunny. What about that?â
Jungkook hesitated, looking down again. âI⦠I still want to finish my degree,â he admitted softly. âSomehow.â
Taehyung exhaled, his expression darkening slightly. âYou know my father wonât let you.â
Jungkook nodded. âI know.â
Taehyung frowned, frustration flickering in his eyes. âHe doesnât think you belong in the university. And to be honest, I donât want you going back there either. Not after what they did to you.â
Jungkook bit his lip. âBut⦠I still want to be a singer, hyung. Thatâs my dream.â
Taehyungâs expression softened instantly. He gazed at Jungkook, seeing the quiet determination in his eyes.
His bunny had always been strong. Even when the world tried to break him, he still wanted to chase his dreams.
Taehyung smiled.
âThen, youâll be a singer,â he whispered.
Jungkook blinked up at him. âB-But how?â
Taehyung tucked a loose strand of hair behind Jungkookâs ear, his voice gentle but firm.
âYou leave that to me, baby.â
Jungkookâs eyes widened slightly, his heart pounding at the confidence in Taehyungâs words.
For the first time in a long time, he felt like his dream wasnât so far away.
And maybe, just maybe⦠with Taehyung by his side, anything was possible.
