Chapter 1879
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
"Sandy? Sandy?"
In a daze, Sandy thought she heard her brother calling her name over and over. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see Kiran standing right in front of her. The room was dim, and it was just the two of them there.
As soon as she saw her brother, tears streamed down Sandy's face. She hugged Kiran tightly, sobbing, "Brother! I saw Harold, Dad, and Mom!"
Sandy had never met her mother in real life. Her mom's face was only known to her through photographs. But just moments ago, she had vividly seen both her dad and mom right there in front of her, as if it were all real.
It was just a dream.
"Silly girl, it was only a dream," Kiran's voice was soft and soothing.
Yet Sandy cried even harder. "Brother, there are so many things I never got to tell Dad and Mom. I wish I could talk to them!"
In the dream, she hadn't seemed to grasp this longing at all.
Kiran smiled gently, patting Sandy's back to comfort her. "There, there, don't cry."
"But..."
"When happiness is right in front of us, we often take it for granted. It's only when it's gone that we feel regret. Even if you keep dreaming, your dream self won't understand the real world's pain. Jumping between reality and dreams will just pull you deeper into the trap."
That night, Sandy cried for a long time. Kiran stayed by her side, calming her until she finally fell asleep, exhausted and with red eyes from crying.
As he left Sandyâs room, Kiran took the bottle of potion with him. This stuff was dangerous. But... for medical purposes, it surprisingly had some fitting uses.

"Dad, I can stand on my own now. I even dreamed of Mom. She's just as beautiful as you said, though a bit fierce when she's angry, but I still adore her."
Sandy gently dusted off their photo and said, "Your daughter is now a law professor. You must be proud of me."
With that, Sandy placed the photo back in its spot. She smiled softly. Even in her dreams, her dad, mom, and two brothers were always there, protecting and spoiling her unconditionally.
As for Odie...
Sandy scratched her head. Odie? Why did that name sound so odd? She pulled out her phone and shot Odie a text: "Did you ever go by a different name when you were younger?"
Odie: "..."
