Chapter 1771
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Meanwhile, over at the Pollard estate abroad, things were getting intense. Sophie and Colby had been burning the midnight oil, combing through every possible lead overseas. Kiran had his team meticulously go over all the intel Adler had dug up.
âWeâve got him!â Sandy burst into Kiranâs office, clutching a stack of freshly printed reports.
Sophie and Colby, who hadnât caught a wink of sleep in two days, were jolted awake by the news.
âQuick, is it this guy?â Sandy said, spreading the documents across the table for everyone to see.
The profile showed a man in his forties. He had a face that was both distinguished and rather handsome.
Sophie studied the photo, her expression turning icy. The man in the picture was none other than Isaac, who had been kicked out of the Russell family ages ago.
âThis guy studied IT in college, but letâs just say his grades didnât set the world on fire. After graduating, he opted for a gig at an electronics store rather than furthering his studies. Heâs got a rap sheet tooâgot into fights back in the day and was constantly in trouble at school. Plus, heâs from Devonport,â Sandy explained.
Sandy didn't know Isaac personally. The report listed him under the alias Ethan Scott.
With this revelation, Sophie realized why their search had been all over the place. Their adversary wasnât some mastermind like The Silent Shadows;
all their previous theories were complete bunk. Turns out, Adler was right all along. Their opponent was a nobody, barely even a blip on the radar.
Seeing the change in Sophieâs expression, Sandy asked, âSophie, is everything okay?â
âThis man is my cousin,â Sophie replied.
âWhat?â Sandy was stunned. âYour cousin? Why would he do such awful things? Iâve never even heard about your cousin.â
âHe was booted from the family over twenty years ago,â Sophie said, shaking her head.
She never imagined Isaac would resurface after two decades, wrapped up in such nefarious activities.
âIf itâs Isaac, I doubt weâll have much trouble dealing with him,â Sophie said softly.
Talent might be something you're born with, but achievements are earned. Isaac had neither, lacking both the natural gifts and the motivation to strive for more.

ï¤Chapter 782 The files painted a picture of his tough life after being ousted from the family. But Sophieâs mind buzzed with questionsâwhat had Isaac been through in the past twenty years? How did he get mixed up with The Silent Shadows?
Logically, The Silent Shadows wouldnât bother with someone like Isaac. The big crackdown years ago should have caught even someone as slippery as him.
There was only one explanation. Isaac must have stumbled upon the hallucinogenic powder after The Silent Shadowsâ collapse. This discovery led to two decades of tinkering and development.
The Silent Shadows had laid down the blueprint ages ago; sticking to the path would have been a no-brainer. But Isaacâs short-sightedness led him to spread the powder recklessly among the lower ranks, sparking their suspicions.
