Chapter 1730
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Even Julian, who usually steered clear of alcohol, was drinking enough to turn his cheeks rosy and his neck thick with excitement. The group was on the verge of dancing on the bar table, and to everyone's surprise, William was the first to strip off his shirt, showing off his rare eight-pack abs.
âHaha, you lost! Iâm the bravest man here!â he declared with a triumphant grin.
Sandy's jaw dropped slightly, clearly not accustomed to witnessing such wild antics. The next moment, poor Julian let out a loud retch and vomited.
Booker, quick as lightning, snatched a nearby trash can to catch Julianâs mess. Despite being pretty tipsy himself, his professional instincts kicked in âhandling a trash can for his boss was no big deal.
Colby stood up and made his way over to Sophie, suggesting, "Everyoneâs pretty much had their fill. Who knows how long this party will last. If you're tired, I can take you home."
âNo need,â Sophie replied with a smile. âThere are still two bottles left, right?â
With that, she tugged Colby back to their seats, gave him a cheeky wink, and said, âTonight, weâre all in until weâre out cold. Donât hold back on my account; letâs all have a blast.â
Seeing Sophie so full of energy again made Colby pause, then his expression softened, âAlright, whatever you say.â
âColby! Get over here, this guyâs no match for me!â Adler shouted, having just pinned Odie to the table with an arm lock.
Odieâs face was a mixture of frustration and disbelief. âYou punk, let your grandpa go, letâs go again!â
âNot a chance, even if there were a hundred of you!â Adler boasted, his attitude cocky and self-assured.
Odieâs face soured even more. âNeed me to step in? Beg me,â Griffin teased, usually so reserved, now joining in the fun.
Odie glanced between Griffin and Colby, gritting his teeth, wishing he could take Adler down a notch. But he quickly realized he was no match for Adler.
The group happily drank and chatted into the wee hours, covering every topic under the sun. By the end, they had a good cry and laugh before finally crashing.
When the sun peeked over the horizon the next morning, Sophie groggily woke up from the table. Those who had been slumped awkwardly on the sofa in the private room were nowhere to be seen.
Just then, Colby walked in from outside, carrying a steaming cup of milk. Sophie mumbled, âColby... where is everyone?â

âWhat about Odie and Sandy?â Sophie asked.
âSandy got picked up this morning, and Odie... went to class.â
Sophie chuckled at this, nearly forgetting that Odie had classes lined up.
âSandy left a message for you to check your phone,â Colby added.
Almost instinctively, Sophie grabbed her phone and found messages from everyone. They all said, âUntil we meet again.â
Seeing this, Sophieâs face lit up with a gentle smile.
