Chapter 1475
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Caelum looked as pale as a ghost when a loud 'bang' echoed from outside the basement. Several bodyguards dressed in black, faces hidden behind protective masks, had blasted the basement door wide open. Kiranâs handcuffs were swiftly unlocked, and he vanished from the surveillance footage.
Upstairs, in a second-floor room, Caelum had ordered someone to keep a close eye on Sandy, making sure she didnât wander off. Sandy was already worried about how Kiran was holding up and sat on the bed, unsure what to do next. Suddenly, a loud noise burst from outside her door.
âWhoâs there?â she asked, her face going as white as a sheet. But when she got up and saw Kiran standing in the doorway, her fears melted away.
Kiran had swapped his clothes for a black shirt, and his face looked fresh, free of yesterday's distress, even his stubble neatly trimmed.
With a smile tugging at his lips, he stretched out his arms, âCome here.â
âBrother!â Sandy exclaimed, flinging herself into Kiranâs arms for a big bear hug.
âDid Dad let you out?â she asked, looking up at him as he playfully ruffled her hair, leaving it a bit of a mess.
âThe old man didnât want you out, yet you dared to sneak into the basement, looking for trouble?â Kiran teased.
âI was just worried about you,â Sandy replied, her brow furrowing. But she quickly sensed something was up and cautiously asked, âBro... how did you really get out?â
Outside, several armed bodyguards had shown up, looking sharp and definitely not like Pollard family regulars. Kiran noticed them too. He turned, his voice cold as ice, âClear out, donât scare my sister.â
âYes, sir,â the bodyguards retreated.
Kiran then said, âIâm heading out for a few days. Want to come with me, Sandy?â
Hearing this, Sandyâs instincts kicked in. Luckily, she wasnât the spoiled heiress she once was. She could read between the lines of what Kiran was saying. After a brief pause, she asked, âAre you going to face off with Sophie and the others?â
âAs long as they donât make waves, for your sake, Iâll keep things civil,â Kiran replied, his voice holding a surprising touch of empathy.
âAlright! Iâll go with you,â Sandy decided. There wasnât much point in staying here. Her brother still cared for her deeply. With her by his side, heâd be less likely to cause trouble for Sophie and the rest.
âGood girl. Iâve got a fabulous mansion lined up for you. Iâd never let my little princess feel neglected,â Kiran said, eyes brimming with warmth.

ï¤Chapter 782 Sandy knew her brother could be ruthless to anyone else, but heâd never hurt her. Soon, Kiran was leading her out of the room by the hand. By then, Caelum had also stepped out of the surveillance room.
Facing Caelum, whose hair was stark white, Kiranâs expression was flat. âDad, Iâll take care of Sandy. Itâs high time I took the reins of Pollard Inc.â
âDamn you!â Caelum fumed, gripping his cane tightly.
Kiran pressed on, âIâm steering the Pollard family towards greatness, isnât that what youâve always wanted? The familyâs weak inside; without your old guard, itâd have crumbled ages ago. Counting on Angelo, that fool? The Pollard family would be history in three years. Anyone can try to stop me, but not you, because Iâm the heir youâve groomed for the Pollard family.â
