Chapter 1341
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Having already ventured into the mountains for over half an hour, everyone was teetering on the brink of exhaustion.
âWhoa, what the heck!â
Adlerâs sudden shout jolted everyone back to reality. The car swerved sharply, then came to an unexpected halt, causing a chorus of screams. It took a moment for everyone to calm down inside the vehicle.
Sandy, looking pale, snapped, âDo you even know how to drive? If not, let me take the wheel!â
âDid we blow a tire?â
Jenna was the first to open the door, with Adler right on her heels. Seeing them, the others got out of the car as well.
Jenna inspected the tires and frowned. âWe canât go any further, this huge rock in the middle of the road is super dangerous.â
Adler chimed in, âYouâd think the Aldridge family would take better care of their property. Can't they at least keep the road clear?â
Jenna rolled her eyes and retorted, âYeah, right. Thereâs a gate at the roadâs entrance that only the Aldridge family can open. Mr. Gordon mentioned no oneâs been here in years. Whoâs going to clear the road for you?â
âFair enough.â
Adler moved to the side, noting the road ahead was littered with debris, likely from the surrounding mountains.
âI thought they actually leveled the mountain, but it looks like they never finished the job.â
Yet, the mountains stretched on seamlessly, without any sign of interruption.
Sophie, comparing the landscape to a map on her phone, said, âThis should be the spot.â
âHere?â
Sandy looked around disdainfully. âThis place is a total wasteland!â
âHey, weâre here to search for treasure, not have a picnic,â Adler remarked. âThis is deep wilderness. Pray we donât run into snakes or other critters.
These wilds are probably crawling with them.â
âSnakes? No way! Iâm terrified of snakes!â

ï¤Chapter 782 Sandy ducked behind Angelo, pleading, âCan we go back now? I really want to go back!â
âEven if we wanted to, itâs not an option now,â Sophie said coolly, turning to Colby. âThe carâs kaput. Call the Aldridge family for another ride.â
âAlright.â
Colby quickly set aside his tools and dialed Rickâs number. Rick promptly arranged for the Aldridge family to send another vehicle.
Colby informed everyone, âItâll take at least two hours for them to reach us from the Aldridge estate.â
âLetâs use these two hours to see if we can find anything unusual around here,â Sophie suggested, piquing everyoneâs interest.
Treasure hunting! Who wouldnât be excited?
Standing next to Sophie, Colby asked, âSee anything yet?â
Sophie, scanning the surrounding mountains, furrowed her brows as fragments of thoughts danced through her mind.
A childlike voice echoed in her head.
âWhere dragons lie, surrounded by hills and embraced by waters, lies the gathering of winds and the collection of energy.â
âOne stands for challenges, two for harmony, three for thunder, four for gentle breezes dividing the center. Five anchors the core, six touches the heavens, seven becomes the lake, eight turns into the mountain, and nine opens the gate.â
Sophie murmured this verse, catching the attention of the group who had started to wander off.
Adler, puzzled, asked, âSophie, what were you just mumbling?â
