Chapter 1067
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Sophie stared at the folder in front of her, lost in thought for what felt like ages.
Gordon... Why would he give her such a lavish wedding gift? Was it really just to celebrate her marriage to Colby?
The next morning.
Three of them were sprawled across the bed in various positions, while Angelo and Adler were comfortably asleep on the nearby couch. They slept soundly until the first light of dawn crept into Sophieâs eyes.
Sophie groggily woke up to find the bed covered in opened presents. Jenna and Sandy were lying beside her.
It suddenly hit Sophieâthey had spent the entire previous night tearing through gifts and had eventually passed out from sheer exhaustion without even finishing.
"Colby?"
Sophie looked around, but apart from Colbyâs jacket draped over her, there was no sign of him.
*Knock, knockâ*
A knock sounded at the door.
The noise woke everyone else in the room. Adler was the first to jump up from the couch, reacting instinctively: âIâm done! All the presents are opened! No more, please!â
Jenna rubbed her eyes and got up from the bed, asking, âAdler, whatâs gotten into you so early in the morning?â
Sophie called out to the person at the door, âCome in.â
The door swung open, and a server wheeled in a trolley, saying, âMs. Sophie, this is the breakfast Mr. Colby asked us to deliver.â
Sophie inquired, âHe asked for breakfast to be sent up, but where is Colby himself?â
The server replied, âMr. Colby went out early this morning, saying heâd be back in the afternoon.â
Jenna frowned, looking at Adler, âWhatâs Colby doing out so early?â

ï¤Chapter 782 âHow should I know? We spent the wedding night opening presents; heâs probably bummed about it,â Adler grumbled, his head pounding from last nightâs drinking, making waking up a disorienting experience.
Meanwhile, Sophie glanced at the food on the trolley and furrowed her brows.
At the same timeâ
Colby glanced across the poker table at Odie, then down at his wristwatch, saying, âMy wife should be waking up by now. If youâre not planning to talk, don't waste my time.â
Seeing Colby about to leave, Odie gave Jonah a look. Jonah immediately stepped in front of Colby, saying, âColby, donât rush. Weâre still waiting for someone.â
As he spoke, the door to the room suddenly opened. A man in a black shirt walked in slowly. When Colby saw who it was, his brows furrowed tightly.
Odie said, âColby, let's put our past grievances aside. I attended your wedding yesterday, but now that itâs over, we should settle our differences...
Griffin, donât you agree?â
Griffin stood before Colby, his tone indifferent, âColby, long time no see.â
As soon as the words left his mouth, a moment of coldness flashed in Griffinâs eyes. He then pulled out a small knife from his waistband and engaged Colby in close combat.
Colby retreated a couple of steps but struggled to match Griffinâs speed. Expressionless, Griffin slashed Colbyâs arm, leaving a cut.
Seeing this, Odie was taken aback and immediately stood up, shouting, âStop!â
Griffin showed no intention of holding back, his moves were lethal. Realizing this, Colby stopped underestimating him and quickly created some distance between them.
