Chapter 1046
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
As Jenna and Sophie were checking out the diamond necklace, Jenna suddenly quipped, âThis necklace really matches your wedding dress. Did Odie send this to you on purpose?â
âIt must be a coincidence,â Sophie replied, holding the necklace up to her neck and finding it a perfect fit.
âHey, where did the necklace from the safe go?â she asked, turning to the stylist, who looked like heâd seen a ghost.
âThat was a priceless diamond necklace! The old man himself picked it out. What are we going to do if itâs lost?â
Jenna furrowed her brows. âHow could it be missing? Did you forget to bring it?â
âImpossible. I personally put it in the safe, and all the jewelry was flown in directly from the airport this morning with a special escort. Thereâs no way it could be missing,â the stylist insisted.
Sophie glanced at the diamond necklace in her hands and chuckled. âOdieâs up to his old tricks again.â
âNo need to look any further,â she said, still smiling. âWeâll just use this one.â
âUse this one?â The stylist looked worried. âBut what if the old man gets upset? He specifically chose the other necklace.â
âHeâs old; he wonât remember the details about a girlâs jewelry. Iâll take full responsibility,â Sophie said firmly.
âYes, maâam,â the stylist said, starting to prepare Sophie.
Jenna, still puzzled, asked, âSo where did the original necklace go?â
âThe shipment came through Summerfield. And who controls Summerfield Airport? I think you know the answer,â Sophie replied.
Jennaâs eyes widened in realization. âOdie!â
Meanwhile, outside the hotel, Odie was leaning against his car, smoking. A waiter hurried over. âDid you deliver the item?â Odie asked.
âYes, sir!â
âWhat was her reaction?â
âMs. Jenna seemed quite startled.â
Odie frowned. âI didnât ask about her. What about Ms. Sophie?â

Satisfied, Odie nodded. Jonah, who had just gotten out of the car, asked, âBoss, should we return the necklace we took?â
Odie glanced disdainfully at the necklace in Jonahâs hand. âHow can that compare to the one I sent? Just toss it.â
âToss it?â Jonah was shocked. âBut itâs expensive!â
Ignoring him, Odie got back into the car. The waiter bowed repeatedly as Odie drove off, still puzzled about who was important enough to warrant a personal delivery from Mr. Odie.
Just then, a black car pulled up, and a masked man stepped out, handing the waiter a black gift box and a stack of cash. âDeliver this for me,â he said.
The waiter hurried to the suite on the second floor, where Sophie was getting her makeup done and Jenna was chatting with Adler on the phone about Colby.
Seeing the waiter, Jenna asked, âDid Mr. Odie send something else?â
âUh...â The waiter, remembering the masked manâs request for anonymity, said, âThis is a gift for Ms. Sophie.â
Sophie, still in the makeup chair, glanced at the black gift box. âJenna, can you open it for me?â
