72. Full of shocks
Fractured Crowns
This was actually hilarious imagining their reactions ð

The sun dipped below the horizon as the cars pulled into the mansionâs driveway.
Divya, despite the exhaustion evident on her face, had insisted on being discharged that day.
The sterile hospital walls had grown unbearable, and she longed to be surrounded by her family.
As they entered the grand living room, the eldersâGeeta, Rukmini, Neelima, Ishwar, and Shravanâwere already seated, their expressions a mix of worry and suppressed anger.
Divya and Ishika were immediately enveloped in warm hugs, but the tension in the room was palpable.
Divya, still in her wheelchair as per the doctorâs advice, could feel the weight of everyoneâs emotions pressing down on her.
Once everyone settled, Rudraksh, ever calm and composed, began recounting the horrifying events.
From Divyaâs assault to the torture Ishika endured, and finally, how Amrita, Ananya, Mahima, and Aarush had stepped in to ensure justice was served.
By the time he finished, the eldersâ faces were thunderous with rage.
Divya and Ishika exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what would happen next.
The silence stretched, heavy and suffocating, until Geeta finally broke it.
âAnd what are you doing to those monsters?â she asked, her voice cold and sharp.
It was a tone neither Divya nor Ishika had ever heard before, and they froze in shock.
âAmrita, Ananya, Mahima, and Aarush are handling them,â Rudraksh replied, his voice firm but respectful.
Geetaâs lips curled into a grim smile. âWhatever it is, we want to see it,â she said, her eyes narrowing with an intensity that made Divya and Ishika stiffen.
âYou want to see?â Ishika blurted out, disbelief coloring her voice.
Geeta turned to her, her expression unwavering. âWhat do you think, beta? That we will be scared?â
Ishika blinked, stunned, looking around at the gathered elders.
âIshika,â Ishwar interjected, his tone calm yet commanding. âWe were in the mafia, darling.â
Shravan chuckled darkly, leaning forward. âYou think this is new to us? Weâve seen far worse than what youâve described.â
Divya and Ishikaâs jaws dropped simultaneously.
âYou⦠you were in the mafia?â Divya asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Rukmini nodded, her eyes gleaming with a mix of pride and nostalgia. âWe built an empire long before you kids were even born. What do you think kept us safe all these years?â
The room fell silent as Divya and Ishika processed the revelation, their minds racing.
âI canât believe thisâ¦â Ishika muttered, her voice trailing off in shock.
Geeta stood, her sharp gaze determined. âTake us to them,â she said. âLet us see how our children handle justice.â
The boys exchanged a glance before nodding. Everyone got into their cars and drove toward Dreamlight, the family still reeling from the shocking revelation about the eldersâ past.
When they arrived at Dreamlight, Shravan raised an eyebrow, his curiosity evident. âWhy bring us here, beta?â he asked.
âThis is where our basement is,â Ishika replied curtly, walking ahead without waiting for them to follow. Her demeanor was tense, her thoughts clearly elsewhere.
Everyone watched her ascend the stairs, entering Dreamlight with a sense of foreboding.
Divya tugged at Dakshâs sleeve, motioning for him to pick her up. He complied without a word, carrying her as she directed him and the others to the basement.
When they reached the basement door, they found Ishika waiting for them.
âSorry, I got aheadâ¦â Ishika murmured, opening the door.
Inside, Amrita, Ananya, Mahima, and Aarush were seated in a circle, casually sipping cool mango juices.
The scene was jarring, given the state of the room. Blood spattered the walls, and the broken, battered bodies of Divya and Ishikaâs tormentors were chained to the far end, barely conscious.
The four stood up immediately upon noticing the elders.
âWhat are you all doing here?â Ananya asked, her confusion evident.
âWeâre here to see how youâre doing your work,â Neelima replied with a smile.
âAnd weâre impressed,â Ishwar said, his gaze scanning the bloodied room with an approving nod.
âAarush, you did well!â Shravan said, clapping him on the shoulder.
Aarush smirked. âMe? I didnât do anything. Itâs all your daughters.â
The elders turned to Amrita, Ananya, and Mahima, their expressions a mix of pride and surprise.
âYou three?â Geeta asked, her voice laced with disbelief.
Mahima raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. âYes. Surprised?â
Before the elders could respond, Ishika stepped forward, her voice trembling. âYou⦠you were in the mafia? How could you keep something like this from us?â
Divya, still in Dakshâs arms, stared at her grandmother, her voice barely audible. âYou were⦠criminals?â
âNot criminals,â Rukmini corrected. âWe were protectors. Thereâs a difference.â
"Wait what? Who were in the mafia?" Amrita asked, confusion in her face.
"Ishwar papa, Shravan papa, Geeta ma, Rukmini ma and Dadi" Divya read out.
"WHAT?!" Ananya, Amrita and Mahima shouted in union, utterly in shock.
Ishikaâs gaze sharpened, as the thought hit her. âWait. If you were in the mafia⦠are the boys also involved?â
The men exchanged glances before Rudraksh nodded.
âYes,â Aaryansh admitted.
âWHAT!?â Amrita, Ananya, and Mahima exclaimed in unison again.
The boys said nothing, their silence confirming the truth.
"I can't believe this..." Ananya said, catching her head dramatically as of she was going to faint.
After a long pause and a lot of processing, Rishi broke the silence.
"Wait a minute. Who are you guys anyway?" He asked looking at the girls, his eyes squinted.
Aaryansh nodded. âHow did you do this? And why do you have a basement like this in your office?â
The room fell silent, the tension thickening.
Amritaâs eyes gleamed with a dangerous intensity. âBecause weâre not just your wives,â she said.
âWeâre the Shadow Senanis,â Ananya added, her voice cold.
The elders and the boys froze, their shock evident.
âYouâre⦠what?â Daksh asked, his voice high in shock.
Mahima smirked. âWeâre mafia too.â
The room was heavy with silence, the weight of the revelations crashing down on everyone.
Aaryansh blinked, his confident composure cracking for the first time. "Wait... what?"
His voice was almost a whisper, as though he couldnât believe what heâd just heard.
Aditya, who usually prided himself on being unshakable, ran a hand through his hair, his jaw tight. âYouâre telling me... all this time, you three wereââ He stopped, his words failing him.
Rishi, usually the most carefree, stood frozen. His usually playful smirk was replaced by wide eyes and a gaping mouth.
âYou⦠the Shadow Senanis? Youâre the Shadow Senanis? The legends? That was⦠you three?â
Amrita exchanged a glance with Ananya and Mahima before crossing her arms, her smirk unwavering. âTook you long enough to figure it out.â
Aaryansh stepped closer, his mind spinning. âHow is this even possible? Youâve been hiding this from us all along?â
Amrita rolled her eyes dramatically. âOh, please. You were hiding the whole âmafia princeâ thing too. Letâs call it even.â
Aditya stared at Ananya, his voice strained. âBut... you donât even like violence.â
Ananya raised a brow, smirking. âCorrection: I donât like unnecessary violence. What we do? Thatâs necessary.â
Aaryansh finally snapped out of his daze, letting out a low whistle. âMind blown. Like, actually blown. I married a shadow queen. What even is my life?â
The girls chuckled at his reaction, but Rudrakshâs gaze darkened. âYou have a basement like this in your office for a reason. Care to explain why you even need it?â
Amritaâs smile turned sharp, her eyes gleaming with a dangerous edge. âWeâve been protecting our people from the real monsters. You boys may play the kings, but in the shadows? Weâve always ruled. The Shadow Senanis didnât just disappear. We became the whispers.â
The room was silent, the weight of their words sinking in. For the first time, the boys realized they werenât the only ones living double lives.
