At the café, Divya and Amrita sat at their usual corner table.

Divya was glued to her laptop, fingers flying over the keyboard, while Amrita leaned back, sipping her coffee with her usual composed demeanor.

Breaking the silence, Divya turned to Amrita, her expression serious. “You better not tell Ishu that I helped you.”

Amrita smirked, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Relax, Divi ma. Your secret is safe with me... as long as you stay useful.”

Divya groaned, rolling her eyes. “You’re impossible, you know that? She’s going to kill me if she finds out.”

Before Amrita could respond, the café door swung open, and Ishika entered. She spotted them immediately and made her way over, her eyes narrowing suspiciously at the sight of Divya’s laptop.

“Too late for secrets, ladies,” Ishika said, pulling out a chair and sitting beside Divya. “What’s going on here?”

Divya froze, caught red-handed. “Uh… nothing?” she said weakly, her voice an octave higher than usual.

Amrita chuckled, clearly enjoying Divya’s discomfort. “Oh, come on, Ishu. Don’t be so dramatic. Divya’s just helping me with some… research.”

Ishika raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. “Research? For what?”

“For…” Divya started, but before she could finish, Amrita and Mahima entered the café, their presence commanding attention.

“Alright, what’s going on here?” Ananya asked, dropping into a seat beside Ishika, her curiosity piqued.

“Well, it seems our girls here are keeping secrets from us,” Ishika said, shooting a pointed glare at Amrita.

“Oho, secrets, huh?” Mahima chimed in, taking the seat across from them. “Now this sounds interesting.”

“Don’t get so dramatic. I’ll tell you,” Amrita said, rolling her eyes as if the situation was nothing out of the ordinary.

Divya glanced at Amrita nervously, silently hoping she wouldn’t reveal too much.

“Well,” Amrita started nonchalantly, “I got some information on Vicky. Yay.”

“Vicky? Wha—how?!” Ishika’s eyes widened in shock, her usually composed demeanor faltering.

“From one of his men,” Amrita replied, leaning back in her chair, her voice dripping with casual arrogance.

“WHAT?! Ritu, how the hell did you even find one of his men?!” Mahima demanded, her disbelief mirroring Ishika’s.

“Um…” Amrita began hesitantly.

“Don’t tell me you went alone, Amul baby,” Ananya said, narrowing her eyes at her sister.

Amrita hesitated for a moment, then replied calmly, “Yes.”

“How could you?!” The three of them yelled in unison, drawing the attention of everyone else in the café.

Amrita shot her signature icy glare at the onlookers. “What?” she asked coldly, and everyone quickly turned away, pretending they hadn’t heard.

“What if you got hurt?” Ishika demanded, her tone filled with both anger and concern.

“Relax, Mayya. I’m fine. Besides,” Amrita added, glancing at Divya, “Divi ma was helping me the whole time.”

Divya groaned and dropped her head onto the table.

“Divi ma! You helped her?!” Ananya exclaimed, clearly betrayed.

“So unfair,” Mahima pouted, crossing her arms.

“What is your problem, you two?” Amrita asked in her frosty tone.

“You! You can’t just have all the fun alone without us!” Ananya snapped.

“Yes! Exactly!” Mahima chimed in.

“I swear,” Ishika began, glaring daggers at Amrita, “if you go on these missions alone again…”

Amrita, who rarely showed any signs of unease, swallowed hard under Ishika’s glare but maintained her stoic exterior. “O-okay, Mayya. But can you listen to the info first?”

Divya, seizing the opportunity to change the subject, quickly added, “Vicky is in hiding. He knows someone’s coming after him, but he has no clue it’s us.”

Amrita continued, her voice firm. “We found out that he’ll surface in a month for his son’s birthday. That’s when we strike.”

“He has a son?” Mahima asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes. Adopted,” Divya clarified.

“Knew it,” Ishika muttered, shaking her head.

A heavy silence fell over the group as they processed the information. Then Ananya broke it with a mischievous grin. “Alright, now spill.”

“Spill what?” Divya asked cautiously, sitting up.

“How you got the information out of him,” Mahima said, her grin matching Ananya’s.

“Or,” Ananya added, leaning in, “what you did to him after.”

Amrita smirked, and Divya’s lips curled into a sly smile.

Ishika leaned back in her chair, shaking her head in a mix of exasperation and amusement.

Amrita leaned back in her chair, her cold, calculating demeanor intact as she began recounting the details.

"I caught him at one of their hideouts," she began. "He thought he could outsmart me, but it didn’t take long to overpower him. The first step was securing him in a chair—bound tightly, his wrists and ankles tied with industrial-grade rope. No chance of escape."

Her voice was calm, almost detached, as she continued. "The room was dark, lit by a single flickering bulb. The air smelled of damp concrete and fear—his fear."

Divya chimed in with a smirk, "He tried to act tough at first. Big mistake."

Amrita nodded. "I started with simple questions—where Vicky was hiding, who his allies were. He refused to answer, so I had to... persuade him."

Ananya leaned forward, eyes wide with anticipation. "What did you do?"

Amrita’s lips curled into a chilling smirk. "First, I shattered his confidence. A punch to the jaw, a calculated crack of my knuckles against his ribs. I let him feel pain—not enough to incapacitate, but enough to make him realize I wasn’t playing games."

Her voice dropped, almost a whisper. "Then came the knife. I dragged the blade across his arm, just enough to draw blood. I didn’t cut deep—not yet. I told him, ‘Every lie you tell me will cost you more than blood.’"

Divya chuckled darkly. "He thought he could outlast her. Fool."

Amrita continued, "He tried to resist. So, I broke a finger. Slowly. The sound of it snapping was… satisfying. His screams echoed in that tiny room. It wasn’t long before the sweat and tears started mixing on his face."

Mahima shuddered. "That’s brutal."

"It’s effective," Amrita replied without a hint of remorse. "I used a bucket of ice water next. Threw it over his head to jolt him awake when he started to pass out. Then I showed him a set of pliers and made it clear—I was just getting started."

Divya added, her tone lighter but no less dangerous, "By the time she was done, he was a broken man. His resolve? Gone. He begged us to stop, spilling every detail we needed to know."

Amrita’s smirk widened. "And once he had nothing left to tell us, I handed him over to Divi ma."

Divya leaned back in her chair, a dark gleam in her eye. "Let’s just say he got what he deserved. I ensured he wouldn’t be able to betray anyone else ever again."

Ananya and Mahima exchanged glances, both horrified and impressed.

Ishika sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "You two are relentless."

Amrita’s icy eyes met Ishika’s, and she simply said, "Vicky started this war. We’ll finish it."
