Ishika, Aarush, and Rishi sat around the dining table, enjoying their meal while chatting casually.
The atmosphere was light, but Ishika couldnât shake off the thoughts that had been lingering in her mind for a while.
"Can I ask something?" Ishika said, looking at the two men.
"Yes, of course, bhabhi!" Aarush replied quickly, his mouth full but his eyes wide with curiosity.
Ishika hesitated for a moment before asking, her voice soft. "Whatâs with Rudraksh ji? He always seems in a bad mood... Why is he like that all the time?"
Rishi looked up from his plate, chewing slowly before he responded. "Heâs just like that, bhabhi. If I ever saw him act... well, 'good' with someone, that was only with dadi."
Ishika blinked, surprised by his answer. "Dadi?" she repeated, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, bhabhi," Aarush chimed in, a teasing grin spreading across his face. "He fears dadi more than anyone else." He leaned back in his chair, laughing. "And loves her more than anyone too."
Ishikaâs lips parted in disbelief, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Thatâs... Wow," she said, trying to process the information. "But still, Rudraksh ji is always so emotionless.
Itâs like he has no feelings at all." She added, her voice a little sadder now as she glanced down at her food, poking at it absentmindedly.
Aarush sighed, thinking for a moment before he spoke. "I mean, when was the last time anyone saw him smile, cry, or show any emotion? Heâs just... emotionless." His tone had shifted too, as if he was lost in thought as well.
Ishika nodded, staring at her plate. The weight of her words hung heavily in the air. "Itâs been more than a month since our marriage, and heâs always been rude. I donât know if I can get through to him," she said, her voice a mix of frustration and sadness.
"Donât worry, bhabhi," Rishi said, trying to comfort her as he reached for a piece of bread. "Iâm sure heâll open up soon. Maybe." He added with a shrug, though there was an air of uncertainty in his voice.
Ishika smiled weakly, appreciating their attempt to console her. "I hope so," she murmured, pushing her food around on her plate, lost in thought. "I just donât understand him sometimes."
Aarush caught her expression and leaned forward, his voice quieter now. "Heâs just... complicated, bhabhi. Heâs been like this for as long as I can remember. But I think, maybe, he needs time. A little more time, thatâs all."
Ishika sighed and nodded, even though part of her still felt unsure. She looked up at them both, forcing a smile. "I guess I just have to be patient."
Rishi gave her an encouraging smile. "Exactly. Patience, bhabhi. Itâll pay off, Iâm sure."
The conversation drifted into lighter topics as they finished their meal, but Ishika couldnât shake the feeling that something inside her had changed.
Despite her concerns, she wasnât ready to give up on Rudraksh just yet.
She was determined to find a way to break through his walls. It was just going to take time.

Ishika sat in the car, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts as she gazed out of the window at the passing scenery.
The soft hum of the engine was the only sound filling the space around her, but inside, her thoughts were anything but calm.
"Rudraksh ji is very bad," she muttered under her breath. "He didn't even ask me if I ate or not. He ate and just told me to leave. Heâs so... distant. So cold."
Her fingers tightened around her phone, her frustration evident. "At least Aarush and Rishi invited me to lunch. They at least cared."
But just as she was about to let her mind dwell on the situation, a thought struck her like a bolt of lightning, and she paused, her thoughts swirling into confusion.
Wait... I actually felt hungry!!
she realized. Her heart skipped a beat.
I thought I lost my appetite... But strangely, I ate when Rishi and Aarush offered me food... Or was it AFTER Rudraksh ji ate?
Her mind raced as she tried to make sense of her feelings. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her hands gripping the edge of the armrest.
No, no... it wouldnât have been that... Why would I eat after he eats?
She shook her head in disbelief.
If heâs some king of something? No, definitely not. I ate because I was hungry. Thatâs all. It had nothing to do with him.
But then the nagging thought hit her again.
But what if? What if I didnât eat earlier because he didnât eat either? What if I was just waiting for him to eat first, and then I'd eat, like an indian lovey dovey wife?
She grimaced.
No, no. Stop, Ishika. Stop thinking like this.
Her mind spiraled again. The back-and-forth argument inside her head was like a never-ending battle.
Was it really about Rudraksh? Was her hunger somehow tied to his?
She couldnât figure it out, and that uncertainty made her feel even more confused.
Why am I even thinking about him like this?
she questioned herself, rubbing her temple.
Why am I letting his behavior affect me so much?
As the car continued its journey back to the palace, Ishika leaned her head against the cool seat, trying to calm her chaotic thoughts.
She knew she was overthinking, but somehow, the silence and isolation of the car only seemed to amplify the turmoil within her.
Maybe Iâm just tired, she told herself, closing her eyes for a moment. Yeah, tired...
But deep down, Ishika knew that it wasnât just physical fatigue causing this unrest. It was something more. Something she wasnât ready to admit to herself yet.
