Amrita and Ananya were in Amrita’s cabin, poring over files, the atmosphere calm but focused.

The rustling of papers and occasional exchanges of suggestions filled the room.

Suddenly, the door burst open with a loud bang, shattering the silence. Both women immediately went on high alert.

Amrita’s hand darted under the table, her fingers curling around the grip of her concealed gun.

Meanwhile, Ananya swiftly bent down, her hand instinctively reaching for the knife strapped near her ankle.

Their eyes snapped to the doorway, ready for trouble.

“Surprise!!” Mahima shouted, her face lighting up with a wide grin.

The tension melted away instantly.

“Maahi!!” Ananya squealed, her voice high-pitched with excitement.

She bolted across the room, throwing herself into Mahima’s arms. The two hugged tightly, swaying slightly in joy.

Amrita stood back, observing the scene with a small smile. Sliding her hands into her pockets, she approached them casually.

“Well, well, look who’s here,” she said, her tone warm but teasing.

Mahima grinned at Amrita as she pulled away from Ananya’s embrace. “Miss Amul Baby, looking sharp as always,” she quipped, her eyes glinting with mischief.

“Keep calling me that, Maahi, and I might forget how glad I am to see you,” Amrita shot back with mock seriousness, though the corner of her lips quirked up in amusement.

Ananya pouted dramatically. “Hey! Why does no one call me sharp?”

“Because you,” Amrita said, turning to her younger friend, “are the human version of a loose firecracker.”

“Rude!” Ananya huffed, crossing her arms.

Suddenly Ananya grinned. “Well, Maahi, you know it’s not 'Miss Amul Baby.' It’s 'Mrs Aaryansh.'” She giggled.

“Oh ho ho! Mrs Aaryansh?? That’s cute, Mrs Aaryansh!!” Mahima giggled with Ananya.

“Oh, shut up!” Amrita glared at them both, but deep inside she actually liked being called that, though she would never admit it.

Mahima laughed. “Oh, I missed this. Kolkata was so boring without you two. Six months of no drama—I almost forgot what chaos feels like.”

Amrita raised an eyebrow. “You? Without drama? That’s hard to believe.”

“I know, right?” Mahima said, flopping onto the couch like she owned the place. “But don’t worry, I’m back now. Chaos can resume as usual.”

Ananya grinned and plopped down beside her. “So, how was Kolkata? Did you manage to drive anyone crazy there?”

Mahima smirked. “Oh, absolutely. The team there didn’t know what hit them. By the time I left, they were calling me a tornado in heels.”

“Sounds about right,” Amrita said dryly, though the warmth in her tone didn’t go unnoticed.

“But honestly, boss,” Mahima said, turning to Amrita, “you owe me big time for that assignment. Six months of babysitting incompetent fools. I deserve a medal.”

“Or a demotion,” Amrita replied, her lips twitching in amusement.

“Rude!” Mahima mimicked Ananya’s earlier tone, making Ananya burst out laughing.

“Oh, come on, Maahi,” Ananya said, nudging her. “You’re practically the star of this company. Admit it.”

“Well, I won’t argue with that,” Mahima said, flipping her hair dramatically. “But enough about me. What’s been going on here? Any juicy gossip?”

Amrita shook her head. “Unlike you, some of us actually focus on work.”

“Boring,” Mahima said, rolling her eyes. “Alright, Ananya, spill. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?”

Ananya’s face lit up mischievously. “Well, let’s just say a lot can happen in six months.”

Amrita shot her a warning look. “Don’t.”

“Oh, I’m definitely spilling later,” Ananya whispered to Mahima, earning a groan from Amrita.

“You two are impossible,” Amrita muttered, though the fondness in her voice was evident.

Mahima grinned. “And that’s why you love us.”

“Debatable,” Amrita replied, but her small smile betrayed her.

As the day wore on, Mahima seamlessly slipped back into her role as Amrita’s secretary, taking charge with her usual flair.

"You're favourite secretary back in charge boss!" Mahima said with a dramatical salute

"You better start working. And also, let me work too." Amrita said coldly as she got back into her work

Mahima rolled her eyes and got back to work

The office felt more organised with her presence, her quick actions adding a strict spark to the usual routine.

By evening, the three of them were back in the cabin, wrapping up the day’s work.

Mahima stretched her arms above her head and sighed. “First day back, and I’ve already worked more than I did in six months at Kolkata.”

“Good. That’s what you’re here for,” Amrita said without looking up from her laptop.

“Slave driver,” Mahima muttered under her breath, making Ananya snicker.

Amrita glanced up, one eyebrow raised. “What was that?”

“Nothing, boss!” Mahima said quickly, flashing an innocent smile.

Ananya giggled. “Welcome back, Maahi.”

Mahima grinned. “It’s good to be home.”

Mahima dropped Amrita and Ananya at the mansion, like she usually did before their marriage.

"You come too!" Ananya said opening Mahima's side of car door.

"Not now Anu.. I'll come some other day. Right now, I just wanna get to my apartment and collapse on the bed" Mahima said thinking about her peaceful sleep

Ananya chuckled and close her door. Both Amrita and Ananya waved off to Mahima as she drove off, like a pro ofcourse.
