Fractured Crowns

It was the night of the Sangeet, and the Raghuwanshi villa was alive with music, laughter, and vibrant colors.
The sprawling mansion had been transformed into a celebration of love, family, and tradition, illuminated by thousands of fairy lights that cast a warm glow across the scene.
Family members and friends bustled around, setting up last-minute decorations and sharing smiles, while the gentle hum of dholak and the excitement in the air could be felt by everyone present.
The four Raghuwanshi brothers - Aaryansh, Daksh, Rudraksh, and Aditya - were gathered in one room, helping each other prepare for the night's events.
Dressed in sleek, custom-tailored black kurtas with intricate silver embroidery, they looked as though they had stepped right out of a royal family portrait.
Rishi, Aarush, Vikrant, and Ashwin were present as well, each ready in their own black attire.
But instead of preparing themselves, they focused on teasing the four brothers about their brides, making every moment a little less serious and a lot more fun.
"Who knew you guys could actually get nervous?" Ashwin teased with a mischievous grin. "I can't wait to see you all fumble over your words when you see your brides tonight!"
Aaryansh rolled his eyes, adjusting his cufflinks, but there was a hint of excitement in his eyes. "I don't fumble," he said with a smirk. "But... I'll admit, it'll be interesting to see her again."
The room echoed with laughter as Daksh, usually composed, smiled and adjusted his collar. "And who says we're nervous? Just... curious to see how everyone's dressed for tonight."
With a playful nudge from Vikrant, the brothers finally left their room, stepping out into the garden, which had been decorated with a stunning theme of pink and black.
Soft pink drapes flowed from pillars, black lanterns hung around the trees, and the ground was adorned with a flower rangoli in the shape of a mandala. The air was filled with the fragrance of roses and jasmine, and the sound of traditional songs filled the night.
The brothers scanned the crowd, searching for the familiar faces they held close to their hearts.
Aaryansh's eyes immediately roamed for Amrita, while Daksh searched for Divya, his fingers brushing his cufflink as he tried to calm the butterflies in his stomach.
Even Rudraksh, usually reserved, couldn't hide his anticipation as he looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of Ishika.
The Sangeet began with a lively performance by the bride's family, and soon after, the brides themselves stepped onto the dance floor, each radiating elegance and charm.
They wore pink lehengas adorned with shimmering embroidery and sparkling jewels, their hair styled in loose waves, or intricately braided with flowers woven into the strands.
Ishika, in her pink lehenga with golden borders, was a sight to behold. The soft, pastel hue of her outfit complemented her complexion, and the delicate golden embroidery glittered under the lights.
Her hair was braided in a style that framed her face, and her jhumkas swayed with each graceful movement.
She held the edge of her dupatta lightly, letting it cascade over her shoulder, which added a touch of modesty to her radiant appearance.
Rudraksh's gaze was fixed on her as she moved across the floor, her lehenga swaying in rhythm to the music.
For a moment, Rudraksh felt the world around him blur as he watched her, captivated.
He was struck by the way she looked, the blush in her cheeks, and the joy that lit up her face.
He felt a strange, warm sensation in his spine, a mixture of admiration and pride. He couldn't help but smile as he thought, She's perfect.
Meanwhile, Aaryansh spotted Amrita, who was standing a little away, with Ananya aside , laughing as she watched Ishika and Divya dance.
She wore a stunning pink outfit with delicate silver embroidery and a flowing dupatta pinned over one shoulder.
Her hair cascaded in soft waves, framing her face elegantly. The look in her eyes was playful as she caught him staring, and she gave him a small, knowing smile.
Aaryansh felt his heart skip a beat, his usual composed demeanor faltering ever so slightly. He took a deep breath, trying to act casual, but inside,
he felt like a teenager falling in love all over again.
Daksh, on the other hand, finally found Divya in the crowd, and his expression softened.
She wore a pink and gold lehenga with intricate designs, her eyes outlined with kohl that made her gaze intense and alluring. Her hair was adorned with small jasmine flowers, and her smile was gentle yet captivating.
As she turned, her eyes met Daksh's, and she paused, as if taken aback by his gaze. A subtle blush rose on her cheeks, and she looked away, pretending not to notice him.
Daksh, feeling more nervous than he had anticipated, couldn't stop himself from smiling.
His friends had been right; he was nervous, but in the best way possible.
Then, there was Ananya, whose laughter filled the air before Aditya even saw her.
She was lively, standing out with her contagious energy and chattering with Amrita.
Aditya finally caught sight of her, dressed in a vibrant pink lehenga with playful embellishments.
She was, as always, animated, talking a mile a minute, gesturing wildly with her hands, and cracking jokes that had her friends laughing loudly.
Aditya observed her quietly from a distance, his expression calm and unreadable.
Unlike his brothers, who couldn't hide their eagerness, Aditya remained composed, though his eyes lingered on her a bit longer than he'd planned.
She noticed him watching, and with a mischievous grin, walked right up to him.
