Chapter 91
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 91
âOh my godâ¦â The voice that came from behind made Sandra spin around instantly.
With the look of someone who had just stumbled upon a scandal big enough to hit the front page of every gossip mag, Selina didnât bother to lower her voice as she exclaimed,
âI thought this hospital was a reputable public institution, but wow, talk about skeletons in the closet! The directorâs niece got promoted ahead of everyone else, huh?â
It was the open secret everyone in the department knew but never talked about because thereâd be hell to pay if it got out.
Sandraâs face flushed as she hurried to explain âMs. Turner, youâve got it all wrong.â
âWhat did I get wrong? Arenât you the directorâs niece?â
âYeah, Iâm his niece⦠Ugh, thatâs not the point!â Sandra stammered, her face burning with embarrassment.
âItâs all about connections.â Selina waved her off dismissively. âWell, my dad is Keith Turner. That will count for more than your distant family connection. Shouldnât I waltz in here and snag a director position? Sure, I havenât spent a day in med school and wouldnât know glucose from sugar, but I can ask my dad to sponsor some new equipment for you
guys.â
Her proclamation was loud enough that several heads turned in the corridor to listen.
After hearing the commotion from his office, Ruben rushed out to intervene.
âOur hospital has zero tolerance for nepotism or corruption, and I wonât stand such accusations!â
âAccusations?â Selina cocked an eyebrow, casually flipping her foot. âMaybe I should just file a complaint with the health department and let them do some digging. If Iâm wrong, Iâll apologize, and Iâll get my dad to sponsor some new gadgets for you.â
I
Ruben snatched it from her hands as she reached for her phone to make good on her
threat.
Selinaâs eyebrows furrowed in anger. âWhat the hell are you doing?â
Rubenâs expression darkened. âMs. Turner, Iâve been patient with you out of respect for your father. We have no bad blood, so why would you report us to the authorities? Do you understand the kind of trouble that could cause our hospital?â
âGive me back my phone!â
Unintimidated by her, Ruben hid the phone behind his back and said, âYour father has been a partner of this hospital for years. Do you think heâd let you cause such a scene?â

But Selinaâs temper was up. She pushed her wheelchair toward him, attempting to reclaim her phone, but a grown man was more than a match for a woman in a wheelchair.
Being on Rubenâs side, Sandra stepped in to push Selina back, making her more furious. Selina grabbed a fistful of Sandraâs hair.
âHow dare you push me? You think Iâm easy to bully because Iâm in a wheelchair?â
As Sandra was yanked forward, her body twisting in pain, she screamed and flailed, âLet go! Let go of me!â
Ruben was stunned and then barked at Leanne, âPull them apart, for goodnessâ sake!â
Leanne didnât know where to begin.
âSomeoneâs filming this mess. Itâll be all over the internet if you two donât stop.â
At the mention of a camera, Sandra froze. As a doctor, being filmed fighting with a patient was the last thing she needed.
âScared now, huh?â Selina snickered, giving Sandraâs hair another vicious tug and kicking her with her plastered leg. âIâve got three million followers. Iâm not worried at all!â
Leanne sighed in exasperation. âSelina!â
With
ina finally let go.
