Chapter 335
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 335
In the upscale showroom of Crystal Cove Villas, the display cases brimmed with watches of incomparable value. Mr. Curtis was no stranger to luxury, owning timepieces worth half a million without a blink, but receiving such an expensive gift from a woman certainly
raised eyebrows.
Money was the least of Curtisâ worries. Around the table sat old friends, deep in camaraderie, where gifts were merely symbolic gestures, often left unopened at home.
âI put all my savings into it, and if it werenât for Mr. Curtis stepping in, Iâd have lost millions,â Grace said gratefully. âThis watch is nothing compared to the help he gave me.â
It made sense, in a way.
Devin, looking rather unimpressed, snapped the watch box shut and handed it to Curtis, who didnât even glance at it.

Curtis gave a half-smile, clearly unenthused, âYouâre overthinking it. I didnât do it for you; I did it for Skyler. Itâs him who owes the favor, not you-â
His gaze was casual yet piercing, âThis watch should really go to him.â
At that, Devin tossed the watch back, âMy brother doesnât want it.â
Grace failed to catch it, and the watch hit the floor.
Curtis added, âThese volatile investments arenât for the faint-hearted.â
The room tensed up until Skyler bent down to pick up the box. âCanât you ever sugar-coat your words?â
Curtis shot him a look, his sarcasm sharp as ever, âBe glad I bailed you out, or youâd be . here without even your underwear to your name.â
âAlright, alright,â Skyler quickly conceded, âI owe you big time.â

Just then, a waiter approached with a small, neatly wrapped box, bowing slightly as he presented it with a trained, soft voice, âMr. Richardson, this is from Ms. Castillo. Happy Birthday, and may you live to be ninety-nine.â
What a blessing.
Mr. Curtis felt surprisingly honored, his eyebrows raising in delight, âShe prepared a gift?â
He eagerly opened the unassuming black box on the tray.
âWhat did your wife get you?â Devin leaned in curiously.
Inside was a simple SD card.
âAn SD card?â The group exchanged puzzled looks.

Chapter 335
Nobody expected Leanne to give something so mundane.
Devin, expecting something more impressive than Graceâs gift, clicked his tongue in disappointment, âLeanne isnât as generous as Grace. That thingâs barely worth two
hundred.â
Curtis kicked at him playfully, and with muscle memory from previous dodges, Devin swiftly moved aside.
âMust mean something if Leanne sent it,â Grace suggested.
Curtis held the card, thoughtful. âAnyone got a camera?â Then he asked.
âWhy would I bring a camera to dinner?â Devin stood up, âIâll find one.â
When Leanne returned, Donna was visibly anxious, âWhere have you been so long?â
âJust a crowd in the restroom.â
âI didnât see many people when I was there. You shouldâve come with me.â
Donna, preoccupied with her thoughts, barely tasted her famous Beef Wellington.
âIâm torn about switching jobs. The new place seems more relaxed, with weekends off, but Iâve been at our hospital so long, itâs hard to leave you all.â
âHowâs the pay?â Leanne inquired.
âItâs better than here but still not what I hoped for. If it was double, I wouldnât hesitate.â
Weighing pros and cons together, Donna wavered.
Leanne suggested whimsically, âLetâs leave it to fate.â
She took out her phone, opened the emoji dice âRoll it. Odd, you take it; even, you donât.â
âThatâs your solution?â Donna took the phone, watching the dice spin. Leanne watched her face intently.
When it stopped at three, Donna declared, âLooks like fate wants me to take it.â
But Leanne observed, âYour disappointed face says otherwise.â
Taken aback, Donna laughed, relieved, âComing to you was the right choice today.â
