Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )

Chapter 321
âAre you defending her too?â Harrington fumed, his voice rising with each word. âDo you think weâre worth any respect at all? Youâve been treating me like dirt again and again! Do you think weâre pushovers? If youâre so determined to protect this woman, then donât blame me for turning against you!â
Jennifer responded calmly, âI admit I was at fault with what happened between Curtis and Suzan, and Iâve always felt apologetic towards your family. But I can honestly say, in this matter, Iâve not wronged you.â
âIf you think that gives you the right to push the Richardsons around, youâre sorely mistaken.â
âLeanne is Curtisâ wife, and sheâs part of our family too. Maddox and I will not stand by and let anyone bully her.â
The Wrightsâ business empire depended on a steady flow of capital, and they had just secured a billion-dollar loan from Vector Vista Bank. A feud with the Richardsons could
jeopardize everythingâ¦
Harrington had hoped to intimidate Jennifer into submission, but instead, he found himself backed into a corner, his face darkening.
Curtis, seeing Harringtonâs discomfort, smirked slightly and said lazily, âHarrington, cool off a bit. Thereâs been some developments these last few days that youâre unaware of. Maybe you should hear them out first.â
His cryptic hint left Harrington simmering in frustration. âWhat do you mean by that?â he demanded, his face stern.
Curtis nodded towards the door. âLet Olivia come in.â
The person who entered was familiar to Harrington; she was the nurse who had been taking care of him recently.
The nurse, appearing demure as ever, came in and recounted what she had witnessed outside his ward days earlier. She then produced a bottle labeled âTropicamide Eye Dropsâ and a lab report.
âI switched the medication when Ms. Wright wasnât looking. This bottle has been tested by Mr. Curtis, and it doesnât contain tropicamide-itâs atropine.â
Harringtonâs face turned ashen as he stared at the report, his expression dark and stormy. Suzan, who had been lying in the hospital bed, sprang up and snatched the bottle from the
nurse.
No wonder there had been no reaction after administering the drops.

Her face ghostly pale, she shook her head and exclaimed, âDad, it wasnât me. Leanne set me up.â
It finally made sense to Leanne why Curtis had been so protective, even arranging for a personal caretaker for Harrington.
Fortunately, he had taken precautions.
Otherwise, if Suzan had succeeded, Harrington might have gone blind, and as his primary physician, she would have been held accountable.
âYouâre insane,â she said.
âOlivia is one of your people. Youâve bribed herâ¦â
Suzan tried to frame Leanne, but Claudine, who knew her daughter better than anyone else, came to a grim realization. She exploded in hysterical fury, âHeâs your father! How could you do this? Weâve raised you with so much care, and youâd hurt your own parents!â âI didnâtâ¦â Suzan stubbornly denied.
Harrington, though scheming, was not a fool as the head of a major corporation.
âBitch!â In a fit of rage, he slapped Suzan hard across the face. The force of the slap sent her crashing into a nearby table.
A kettle on the table toppled over, but Curtis, quick as a flash, pulled Leanne into his arms. Her world went dark as she was engulfed by Curtisâ scent, and he firmly covered her ears, sparing her from hearing the horrific screams.
