Chapter 261
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 261
The room, initially buzzing with an indescribable energy, settled into a calm as the camera started rolling.
Curtis scanned the room, his gaze landing on a peculiar sight, and raised an eyebrow, âWhatâs the gig here?â
Devin pushed him towards the center of the room onto a couch, âYouâre in the hot seat today. Time for an interview.â
âTo get an interview, you gotta go through my secretary first for an appointment,â Curtis replied, not really in the mood for games, making a move to stand up.
However, Devin pulled out a surprising prop from behind, placing it on his head.
It was a mask made from a picture of Leanne, paired with a biker jacket, creating a bizarre ensemble as he faced Curtis.
Curtisâ gaze fixed on the mask for a second before breaking into laughter, âLooking for a beating, huh?â
Nonetheless, he settled down on the couch, his tone noticeably softer, âIâve got a couple of meetings later. Letâs not drag this.â
Devin clipped a mic onto Curtisâ collar as he leaned back on the couch, eyeing the picture
of Leanne on Devin.
âWhere did you get that? Itâs quite haunting on you.â
Devin cursed under his breath, âYour stare is pretty haunting, too.â
This footage was captured before Curtis found out about Leanneâs depression. At that time, he exuded a vibrant and carefree energy, his posture relaxed and comfortable.
Curtis chuckled softly at Devinâs comment, âThen take it off.â
âI wonât. Iâm standing in for Leanne today,â Devin declared, positioning himself as the host and shouting towards the camera, âAction.â
Holding a sheet of prepared questions, Devin asked, âWhoâs your favorite woman?â
The studio lights perfectly highlighted Curtisâ handsome features, his eyes shimmering under the carefully arranged lighting, adding depth and emotion.
A playful smile danced in his eyes as he looked at Devin, responding with a hint of jest,
âYou.â
Devin, feeling the jest, quickly ripped off the mask amidst a wave of laughter from the small audience in the screening room. Joy and Selina could hardly contain themselves, laughing uproariously,

Devinâs annoyed voice cut through the laughter, âShut up, will you!â
Only two people werenât laughing.
Back on screen, Devin tried to steer the interview back on track, âLetâs ask again. Donât rush your answer. Itâs a multiple-choice question.â
âWhoâs your favorite woman? Option A: Leanne. Option Bâ¦
Before he could continue, Curtis interrupted with a firm, âA.â
âI didnât even finish the options.â
Curtis smiled nonchalantly, âDoesnât matter who else is on the list, itâs always A.
Joy, sipping on her milkshake, felt conflicted by his answer, âThis guy really knows his game.â
Selina, munching on fried chicken, whispered back, equally conflicted, âIâve been saying he seems really into Leanne.â
The interview continued with Devin asking another question.
âIf you had to choose between your career and love, what would it be?â
Curtis pondered for a brief moment before answering, âCareer, I guess.â
It was the answer most men would give, grounded in reality.
But Devin pressed further, âWhat about between ElitePinnacle and Leanne? Which one would you choose?â
This seemed like the same question, but with a crucial difference.
Curtis flickered his eyes with a hint of mischief as he glanced at Devin, âTricky question.â
âMake a choice, come on.â
Without hesitation, Curtis replied, âLeanne.â
In his heart, his career was important, but Leanne was paramount.
Devin was like, âMan, I knew you were all about that love stuff!â
Curtis, getting called out for being lovesick, didnât seem to sweat it. He just laughed it off and softly said, âNah, Iâm not all about love.â
