Chapter 2: Meeting And Spending Time With Them

Author: I hope you guys have enjoyed the first chapter I will try my best to make this chapter longer and better.

No one POV:

"He looks so adorable!"a unknown voice said excitedly.

"Shush! Your going to wake him up!" A female voice shouted but whispering at the same time.

" I can't help it Lillian! He's just too cute!"

"Brother Sebastian! Control yourself! We came in here without fathers permission! If we get caught I'm blaming you!"Lillian said angrily but still whispering.

'Huh?...It's bright...Wait! Where am I?! Oh...I remember now..but who are they...don't tell me?'

Arius had just woken up from his sleep and was shocked by the two big figures that were surrounding him. One seemed to be taller and the other shorter. The taller figure was Sebastian Edward Chester. He had white hair and gold eyes like his father while the shorter figure was Lillian Edward Chester. Like her mother she had blond hair and there seemed to be some pink strands growing out of her scalp. She also had sapphire blue eyes.

Although they seemed to be older than Arius, they still look like children. Probably around 7 or 8 years old. It was said in the novel that Edward and Lillian were twins but they were fraternal twins which meant they wouldn't look alike. Despite Sebastian being the older one, Lillian was more mature.

"Great! Now you woken him up!"Lillian scolded her elder brother.

"What are you two rascals doing here?"

"Dear, don't be to rough on them.."

"Father!.. We uh.."Sebastian said nervously, trying to avoid his father's glare.

"Father! Sebastian woke him up!"Lillian exclaimed, trying to put the blame on Sebastian like she said.

"HEY! You agreed to come see him with me!"

"You know the drill! 5 laps around the house I will be watching you two run! If you try to escape, another 5 more!"

"It's your fault!" Sebastian and Lillian said in unison.

Both of them groaned as they were being dragged away by their father. Still arguing over about who's fault it was.Their mother sighed and headed over to Arius crib to check if he was alright. Surprisingly Arius was rather calm about what had just happened. In the novel it was stated that they both often got into trouble because of their mischievous behaviour and pranks. As a result, their father would punish them by making them run laps around the whole mansion. However, they still continued with their pranks, not learning their lessons.

"I'm sorry Arius, they must have scared you. Those kids only know how to cause trouble. But, since you're awake, let's go shopping for some clothes!"

Clothes? Arius had thought he could not believe he was going shopping for clothes with his mother. However, he could not disagree as he was just a baby. Although he didn't have a choice he still wanted to go with her as her scent reminded him of his mother before he died. He remembered that his mother had a formal scent. His mother was the one who supported him the most when she found out that she wanted to become a doctor. She always told him that he could achieve his dream and become a successful doctor. However, that did not happen.Looking back, Arius didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his mother as she had left early for work.

'Eh?.. what's this?..Why is my face wet?..'

Arius began crying. It was a baby's instincts. Whenever a baby feels sad they would obviously cry.

"Arius?! What's wrong my dear?.. Calm done..don't be scared..mummy's got you.."

Looking at his new mother's smile, Arius immediately calmed down. Lilith bought Arius closer and hugged him tighter to tell him she was there and no one would harm him.Arius snuggled closer to his mother smelt her scent. It was refreshing. He was glad that he got such a caring mother. A few minutes later, Arius had finally stopped crying and calmed down.

"Ari, do you still want to go? If you don't want to it's fine, how about we go to the garden?There are lots of beautiful flowers there and you might be able to spot some birds." Arius mother said with a calm tone and a smile on her face.Arius nodded his head and gave his mother a look which told her that he wanted to go to the garden.

"I see, I'll tell Julia to prepare us some warmer clothes. Hmm...come to think of it..you haven't met Julia or the others. Ah! I have a great idea. Let's go meet them!"

'Julia? The others?..'

In the kitchen

"Madam! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be resting? It's only been a week since you given birth."a voice worriedly ask.

"It's alright! Look! I'm fine Julia! I'm a tough person you know, after all, I am the Duchess of the Chester family."

"But still-..."

"It's alright! Anyways, call the other I have something to you and them!" Lilith said excitedly.

"Haiz...at least you're cheerful demeanour is still there.Alright-I'll go get them." Julia was still worried but she was happy to see the person she served was still happy and active after giving birth.

"Madam is that?-.."Julia was shocked at what was in front of her.

"Ta-da! Surprise! Meet my son, Arius!"

"He's so cute!"

"Ahem- Emily, control yourself" another voice said in a serious manner.

"Agh, come on! Live a little Marcus!"

"Hmm? Where are the others?" Lilith was wondering where the rest of the servants were.

"I'll explain that Madam. Mia and Gunther are tending to the garden. Willow is busy checking the things that had just arrived. Alex is busy preparing lunch. Lastly, Winslow and Eliza are cleaning and tidying up the rooms."

All of them were shocked at how Marcus knew that.

'There are so many people I need to meet..'Arius thought thinking about

The names that Marcus had said.

"I see, so you three are the only ones done with your duties?"

"That's right!"Emily responded.

"Anyways! Julia, can you prepare some warm clothes for us?"

Julia nodded her head and asked Marcus to continue his daily patrol. Marcus daily patrol was not like the knights patrol. They were to check if the other servants were slacking off and not doing their duties properly. If they were caught slacking off, they would be given a warning by Marcus and if they were caught again their punishment would be their payment cut by half.

"Ah! Madam and Arius looks amazing wearing matching clothes!" Emily said with a high pitched voice.

"Arius, you look adorable."Lilith was happy to see her son in winter clothing. The scarf covering Arius face looked funny on him.

After changing, they proceeded heading to the garden. When they had made it to the garden, Arius was shocked by the scenery. He was amazed by the variety of flowers.

"Arius, do you like it?"

'It's beautiful.."

Arius looked at his mother and nodded his head. He wanted to explore more and smell the scents of the different flowers smelled amazing.

"I'm glad!" Lilith was over the moon to see Arius looking around.

"Mother! What are you doing here?" The twins shouted in unison startling Arius.

"I wanted to show Arius the garden. Hmm..but where's your father? Don't tell me you escaped."Lilith said with a curious yet worried expression.

"Don't worry darling. If I had caught them escaping, I would've not let them be here" Damien told Lilith and kissed her forehead.

"Can I carry Arius my dear?"

"Of course you can." Lilith giggled slightly.

Lilith passed Arius to Damien and helped him correct his posture so that Arius would be in a comfortable position. When Arius was finally comfortable in the position he was in, he snuggled closer to Damien, burying his head in his chest. Arius sniffed his father's scent and thought he smelt like cinnamon and coffee. Although Damien rarely drinks coffee, he only drank it during time where he was tired. When the twins saw their father holding Arius, they felt jealous as they were running laps around the house and all their father did was watch them run. Now he's hogging Arius all to himself.

"Father! You're so cruel! You're hogging Arius all to yourself!" Lillian yelled.

"Maybe it's because he like me more." Damien gave a smirk to his children.

"Mother look at him! He's hogging our baby brother!"Sebastian told his mother trying to ask her to help them.

"Now, now. Calm down. Damien, why don't you let them carry Arius? You've carried him before."

"But, dear-.."Damien gave puppy eyes to Lilith but it didn't work.

Damien had no choice but to pass Arius to his children in defeat. The twins snickered looking at their father. Arius had to once again adjust his position to make himself comfortable in his sibling's arms.

'Please take care of me in this life, my dear family..'
