Chapter 8: Saint

Rebirth [BL] DISCONTINUED...

A/N: Hello!- it's been a long time! I was sick in October 2 times and this month one time. I am sorry for posting this so so so very late. I sincerely apologise! I hoped you had enjoyed the last chapter. Next year, I will be even busier as my final exam is next year. I hope you guys can continue reading my story. I really appreciate all your support🥺. Hope you enjoy this chapter! 😊

"Lillian, Sebastian! Do not cause any trouble! You must ensure Aeryn's and Arius's safety. As well as yours!"

"That's right, be aware of your surroundings. "

"Yes, we understand." Sebastian and Lillian said in unison seriously.

When the four of them were in the carriage, the four of them meaning Sebastian, Lillian, Aeryn and Arius. They just kept quiet. Arius reading a book, Aeryn resting his head on Arius's shoulder and Lillian and Sebastian just looked out of the window into the sky. Besides the four of them were them were Louis and five other guards.

The five other guards were specially trained by Louis and Damien themselves. The five of them could have position of Louis if they were a little bit stronger and had the abilities that Louis has.

Anyways, you might be wondering why Sebastian and Lillian were following along when it when just supposed to be just Aeryn and Arius going. Sebastian and Lillian had wanted to protect Arius by accompanying them. They had convinced Damien to let them go. Damien had surprisingly agreed as they had both finished the training for the week and because he also didn't want Arius to be just left alone in the carriage with Aeryn.

( A/N: So that they don't do anything sus, if you know what I mean 🤭😏.)

On the other hand, Arius who was pretending to be reading a book was extremely nervous. His was worried. What if he was figured out. What would they do if they knew he was not the real Arius? Cold sweat began dripping down Arius's forehead.

"Arius. What's wrong?"

"Ah!-... Aeryn, I'm just a bit nervous. The nerves must be getting into me.

"Arius. It's alright. I'm here. Just stay close to me. I'll protect you like always." Aeryn smiled.

"We're almost there." Sebastian said softly.

"Sigh... When will you get over it? It's been many years."

"What do you mean?" Arius asked curiously.

"It's nothing Arius."

"Yep, just trust Lillian."

"Alright-.."

When they had arrived at the temple, the four of them looked out of the window to see loads of Carriges and commoners entering in and out of the temple.

"It's as big as always...."

The temple was a sacred place when people could come and pray to Mother Iris Better known as Goddess Astraea. She was the first person who protected the kingdom, rain or shine. No matter what, she would always look out for her kingdom.

"We've arrived."

The four of them got down of the carriage and were greeted with just a low class priest waiting for them.

"Welcome to the temple. Please follow me, the high priest is waiting for us."

The four of them including the knights followed the low class priest inside. Everything was huge and luxurious. There were different doors leading to the temple.

"Here is the main hall. Shall we-"

"Enough with the formalities, let's just get it over with."

"Yes, of course."

As the low class priest spoke the big massive doors began to open. The four of them including the knights and the low class priest walked inside the main hall of the temple. Arius gripped Aeryn's hand even tighter, his forehead slightly sweating.

"Arius, remember, I'm here."

"Mhm!"

The high priest greeted the four of them and had asked Sebastian and Lillian to step back as they were about to begin the cleansing ceremony. Sebastian and Lillian were reluctant and hesitant. But still stepped back for the sake of their parents and Arius.

Obviously the first on to go was Aeryn. Aeryn volunteered to go first as he do not want Arius to get hurt. The priest took a dagger and gave it to Aeryn telling him to use the tip of it to poke his finger. As Aeryn poke his finger, small drops of blood began dripping out into a bowl.

"What is this!- This isn't part of the ceremony!"

"Ah. Yes. You might've not been informed. There was a new prophecy."

"Prophecy?!-.." Lillian asked.

"..."

"I don't care if this is some prophecy! My little brother could get hurt."Sebastian exclaimed sternly, not wanting to risk a chance of getting Arius injured.

Arius looked at Louis and asked him to calm Sebastian down. Sebastian nodded his head as a reply to Arius, telling him that he understood what he meant.

"Master."

"Louis-..."

"Alright-...."

Sebastian gritted his teeth and gave the high priest a glare. Signalling to him that if Arius had got injured he would be in big trouble.

"I shall now continue with the ceremony."

Hearing those words, Arius stepped forwards and smiled to Aeryn slightly. Telling Aeryn that he would be alright. Following the high priest's instructions, Arius poked his finger slightly, letting blood slightly drip into the bowl below. Light started flashing before Arius's eyes including the rest.

"Good heavens! The saint! The prophecy is true!"

"Arius!" Sebastian, Lillian and Aeryn ran towards Arius.

"Young master!"

"You bastard! Quickly help us!"

"Ah! Yes, right away!"

"Where am I?-...."

"Oh, my! You came so soon. You came earlier than expected."

"Aren't you the goddess I met before I reincarnated?-..."

"Indeed! I'm glad that you remembered me."

"Why am I here? Am I dead again?"

"No silly!- You're here because you have divine powers! You have been chosen by me!"

"By you?"

"That's right! In the world you're currently living in, I am considered a god. As I've chosen you as a saint, I gave a prophecy to the high priest."

"I see..."

"You're not shocked?"

"Why would I? I've already died once."

"As expected of you! Haha! Anyways, it seems like it's time for you to go. We've ran out of time. I guess we'll just have to see each other next time!-"

Before the goddess could even finish what she was saying, Arius had already been sent back to his world.

"Arius!"

"Ugh.... Mother?-....."

"My baby!" Lilith hugged Arius tightly. Tears forming in her eyes.

"Mother?-.... How long have I been sleeping for?.."

"How many days?! It's been a whole week!-..."

"A week?!..."

"That's right. Those damn priests... If I had known that they would do something like that I would've never let you go." Damien said angrily .

"Ah...what about Lillian, Sebastian and Aeryn?"

"They're alright... but first before you see them let's have the doctor check you first..."

After the checkup, the three of them, Lillian, Sebastian and Louis were finally able to see Arius again. As soon as Aeryn got into the room, he immediately ran towards Arius, hugging. He was crying, his eyes red and puffy. It has been ages since Arius had seen him like that.

"Aeryn?! Why are you crying?..."

"You-....I was scared that you would leave me..."

"Why would I leave you Aeryn? I promised to stay with you."

"...but..."

"Aeryn."

"Alright..."

On the other hand, Lillian and Sebastian were smiling grateful that Arius had woken up. This was the longest he had slept. They thought they were going to loose him.
