Unconditionally Yours

Kiari Xavier Grey | Ki

Next day.

"What nigga?" I ask Amari as he done called for the millionth fucking time.

"Nigga I was trying to tell your stupid ass that Draco and Z' pulled up. At the trap." He says.

"Fuck is they there for? Did yall let them in." I start my car making my way there as I was already sitting in the car.

"Nah bra, they in the car sitting outside our shit waiting on you. We told them to get the hell on but they both got loaded guns sitting on the dashboard." He says making me just hang up cause now I'm pissed.

Pulling up at the trap as it wasn't a far drive I open my glove box taking my gun out, putting it in my pocket then getting out.

Just as I got out they also got out.

"What you outside our shit for?" I stand directly infront of Z'.

Z' wasn't no small ass nigga and he stood at the same height that I did, but with me doing sports I had that more athletic body and muscles as he was just real skinny and tall.

"One of yall niggas shot my pops shit up." Z' said to me as he was clearly mad.

"Ain't nobody shot shit up. When was this."

"Yesterday. You lucky my pops wasn't in there our I would have blown your shit right now. All I know is that you need to watch your back and your peoples real closely cause I got something for you." He chuckles backing away and getting back into his car with Draco.

"Nigga you a whole bluff. Everytime my side do something to your ass you threaten my family and that's exactly why I took your girlfriend out last time to." I said and that clearly got him angry making Draco pull him back.

"He bout shot at your last girlfriend though." Draco says.

"He missed. twice. Get the fuck off my shit yo." I say.

Z' just slowly nods. "Alright." He says before they get back in the car.

I watch them drive away before pushing past Amari and into the trap where most of the niggas was in.

"Which one of yall shot Z' pops crib up?" I kiss my teeth looking at everybody then see Vaugh on the couch with his head down looking irritated.

"Vaugh you did that shit? Without telling me or no got damn body?" I walk closer to him raising my voice.

"That nigga raided my house and stole my goddam shit. Fuck allat." Vaugh says standing up.

"And you didn't think to tell me? We supposed to do that shit together but you did it on your own and now this nigga tryna come after my damn people for your goddamn shit."

"Z' ain't gone do shit. He said that shit last time and ain't did a goddamn thing."

"That's my peoples though. I don't give a hell if he was joking, lying or what cause if something was to happen to them I'll blame your ass then shoot his ass."

"Like I said. He. Ain't. Gone. Do. Shit."

"Do something else like that again and I swear to God your cut and off my shit." I fold my arms looking at him deadass serious.

"Ight bra." Vaugh sits down.

"I'm out. Amari keep a close eye on my sister." I say before walking out.

Ian even tripping forreal cause my mom don't even stay over here, she lives a few hours away where I moved her up at cause I know how this shit go while in the streets. Fuck with them and the first thing they doing is coming for you family or someone you close to. But I can't never be to careful because my mom and my sister is all I have and I don't need nothing happening to them. Bluffing or not.

Facetiming my mom, I wait for her to pick up and when it does her face pops into the camera.

"Kiari. Hey baby, where's your face at?" She asks.

"Hey mom, I'm driving right now so I can't hold my phone up."

"What you facetime for then if you couldn't even show your face." She frowns.

"Ionk I'm just use to facetiming, but I need you to tell Marco to get an extra security guard out there other than just him." I say as Marco was my moms security guard that I have for her.

"Oh my God Kiari, what happened now."

"Just a nigga bluffing but Ian even trying to take no chances."

"I don't see how you move me away from there but I still have to be watched over. You need to get out of them streets Kiari or you gone end up just like your dad. Like you know how I feel about this stuff and you just don't care." My mom says that same street lecture for the thousandths time and everytime I hate hearing it.

"It's not just that easy." I mumble.

"It is though. You a whole athletic but playing in these streets like you can't lose any chance of your future blowing up." She says back.

"Alright ma I got to go bye, I love you." I say before hanging up and letting out a deep breath.

My mom doesn't like me being in these streets because of what happened to my dad but she also doesn't understand that it's not that easy to just up and leave streets now that you have a possible good future, if anything that's worse.

Growing up I had a decent life, until I was around 7 where my dad had got arrested for drug dealing, and they also found out he murdered a person so that put him in life and that's where it all went downhill. He wasn't smart about his money and didn't have a legal income so all his money was took which left my mom nothing other then the little job she had but it didn't pay enough so up until then we was really just struggling. We had family and they helped the best they could and that's why we wasn't put out our house already but there help wasn't much either.

When I was around 14 I could actually get a decent job, and I had one but I wasn't making shit due to my age and they wouldn't even give me long hours because of also my age and school and I would always see Kam asking for things all her friends had but we could never afford them and that affected me a lot not seeing my sister as happy because of the standards that you had to have in order to not be outcasted.

And that's where I started to learn more about streets, drugs, drug dealing. I never took drugs but I sure was selling and honestly I was deep into the streets until I obviously found a passion for basketball at around 16, and I wasn't as in deep in the streets and even now I'm not even deep anymore and I would just quit but like I said it isn't that easy.

Most of the money I make is from drug dealing which helped me moved my moms out into a nice two story house and even my house and all the things I have. I do have a legal income which is why I've been doing it for long without getting caught but since I am trying to make it to the nba I have to find a way to completely get my way out of it without none of it coming to bite back at me when and if I do go to the nba.

Pulling up to my house I go inside, take a shower before throwing on a plain black tee shirt with my chain and then some sweats. Checking the time I see it's 6:20pm.

I was planning on going over to Riani's house for my damn retwist she told me she would do. She don't know I'm coming over but I know if I pop out with some food she wouldn't care.

___

Pulling up to her apartment, I grab the bag of wingstop and then make my way into the building.

She had one bougie ass apartment like when you first walk in there's a receptions table with a man sitting there which he had greeted me.

Walking into the elevator I press her floor number which it took me up to and then I walk down a hall looking for her door number which I hope is the right one. Honestly this is my first time ever coming to her house and I only know her address from when she had put in my gps that one time.

Walking up the door I hear music playing inside. Knocking on the door I wait for her to answer before I hear the lock click and then she opens the door.

Looking down at her I see she had changed her hairstyle to a now middle part silkpress.

"What the hell you doing here." She raises her brow.
