12:45pm

I was in the lunch cafeteria with Kamryn and two other girls that we don't really know as they was talking amongst themselves and the boys are somewhere that has to do with basketball but I was just doing work because I had a assignment due in less than an hour all because my dumbass teacher wanted to randomly change the due date.

"So Kamryn. Is your brother like single now?" I hear one of the girls ask. Really we don't know them all to well so I don't know why there sitting here.

"If his girlfriend cheated then I would think he's single?" Kamryn stares at the girl. Kamryn really has no filter and it's just funny as hell to me.

"I heard they been having relationship problems. Is that true?" The other girl ask and Kam just pays her no attention and keeps her eyes on her phone.

"Well is it?" The girl trails off.

"Y'all just here to ask about him? Cause yall made it seem like yall was here to be friends or something and now yall just asking questions about Kiari and his ex like yall can't just ask him yourself?" I say looking up from my computer and at them because they was distracting.

"Who was even talking to you? Like mind your business." One of the girls glare at me.

"Hold up cause watch your tone talking to her." Kam says immediately looking up from her phone.

"Oop drama!" I hear Isaiah's voice as I seen him, Amari and Kiari walking towards our table. They must of just got back from whatever Basketball thing they had going on.

"Your not talking to me fosho, but your quite literally right next to me being loud as hell so go on with that." I say staring dead at her.

"Yall need to chill. People looking and shit." Kiari glances around then back at us.

"Yeah girl go. Trying to start with my bestie." Isaiah mugs the girl and she just stands up along with her friend.

"Can't even be nice and talk to hoes these days cause they wanna be rude." I hear one of the girls say.

I just ignore them but that sure didn't go unnoticed by Kam.

"Girl shut the fuck up and suck my clit." She says to them.

"Y'all can't be arguing with people on campus." Kiari says sitting next to me at the table.

"Hoes needa mind their business instead of being in other peoples." Kam shrugs.

"And I was just trying to do my work but people just loud." I mumble.

"You good?" Kiari ask and I nod.

"Where was yall at?" Kam asks.

"A basketball meeting." Amari says.

"That meeting was so uneeded honestly." Isaiah says.

"It should have been for just freshman because that's all what coach was talking about." Kiari shrugs.

"Yall upper people stay trying to be know it all to freshmen so maybe yall did need to be there." Kam says.

"Nah coach knows who is good or not and don't just put anyone on the team so not like we would need to say much to them." Amari says to Kam.

I was completely zoned out the conversation and was just focused on trying to get this assignment done. I dead only had 35 minutes left.

"You good?" I hear someone say next to me.

"Riani." I felt a arm over my shoulder and being pulled more into there side so they could speak in my ear.

"Huh." I furrow my brows seeing it was Kiari as he was looking down at me.

"I asked was you good. You just all zoned out." He chuckles.

"Yeah I am. Keep it friendly." I move his arm from around me laughing a little.

"My arm is only over your shoulder? Lower your ego don't nobody want you." Kiari playfully rolls his eyes at me making me smack my lips.

"You got me to close to you and your face was to close to mines." I mug him going back to my work.

"Well you weren't listening and my mouth was only by your ear." He says but I just wave him off not really caring.

"What you working on?" He asks.

"Work that's due in like thirty minutes but your distracting me." I mumble.

"Should of been did it before it was due the day of and you wouldn't be sitting here stressing." He shrugs.

"She changed the due date so duh I'm stressed ho." I roll my eyes and I already seen a smirk on his face.

"Nope Kiari just hush." I put a hand over his lips to just shut him up to which he smacks away.

"I know a way I could relive your stress. It works to." He smiles.

"I know a way I could shut you the hell up and it starts with my fist." I smile back at him.

"Your fist wrapped around where to shut me up?" He smiles back at me and I just straight faced him. It's like I can never win with him because he always has a unholy ass comeback to say.

I just shut up and focus back on my work.

"It's been two days, where my retwist at." He says next to me.

"Eh you'll get it when im free." I shrug.

"Exactly Riani, so I was like, sa fout wap gade? You feel me? Then she gone be all like, ou menm ki gade hoe and that really had me mad cause who are you talking to." I listen to my mom rant on the phone as she was talking about a situation from earlier and she must had to really be mad when her voice kept breaking into her language.

"Dang mommy. What you do after?"

"I wanted to run her ass over with my cart but i spared her." She says making me laugh.

"These people down here really be tripping. How is it up there?" She asks.

"Well I don't really run into rude people forreal so it's good so far." I shrug.

"Hm ok. How is your studies and college going?"

"It's good. They do be giving out a whole lot of work at once which is stressful with all the due dates but I'll manage. And I haven't missed or not turned in one assignment so that's good."

"You right that is wonderful. I hope you keep it up and not fall back." My mom congratulates me making me smile.

"Thank you." I say to her as I hear a door opening from her end.

"Is that dad?" I say excitedly and she nods.

"Hey baby." He kisses my mom before looking at the phone. "Hey princess, how are you doing." My dad smiles in the camera.

"Good. I was just catching mom up on school."

"School is good so far?" He asks me.

"Yeah it's fine." I shrug.

"When are you coming back up here. I miss you already." He laughs making me and mom laugh.

"The next time I can is on my next break which is fall break so that would be next month."

I continue to talk with my parents until eventually we hang up.

Walking inside my bathroom I pull my blow dryer and brush out as I had washed and took my braids out earlier.

As I was detangling my hair I got a text from my phone making me furrow my eyebrow.

I mug the phone even though he couldn't see but I didn't care.
