Chapter 14Angel's POVThe Next Day.It was around 6 am. I had slept for only four hours. My eyes were puffy and tired. It was a school day and I had to get up and get ready. I still feared about today I didn't know what Viki would do. Yet I had to face it. So I gathered all the courage today that I could and got up and freshened up.It didn’t take me much time to freshen up as much it took time for me to put make up on my face. I had to shove all the puffiness and exhaust look deep underneath me. No one knew about it and shouldn’t know either. Finally I was ready by 7am. I went down quickly grabbed my breakfast and saw everyone there. Said my mornings to everyone. My sis gave me a look to check how I was doing. I gave her a reassuring look to say I was fine. But I wasn’t. I bid farewell to everyone and left.As soon as I reached the school, I walked quickly past the crowd avoiding them. As soon as I reached my locker, I was embraced in a hug. I quickly noticed the hair; it was Leah who was hugging me. I gave in and hugged her back while controlling the tears in my eyes. She pulled me back and asked “Hey, are you okay? You left yesterday without telling. Ryan knew about it and told us.”I stuttered “Y-y-yea I wasn’t feeling good.”She was looking at me with the ‘don’t lie to me’ face. She dragged me into the washroom and locked it. I was scared. She gave me a stern look and said “Speak up now.” Boy, if I was a criminal and she were police, I would blurt out the crime and get arrested.Anyways I replied with fake smile “I-it’s nothing Leah.”Leah replied coldly “Speak up now or else I will make you.”I started crying. I couldn’t handle it. I heard Leah sigh and hugged me. After 2 minutes of this she said “It’s okay dear. Now say what happened.”I replied while sniffing “I-I met Viki yesterday.”She had a worried look on her face. She then asked “And?”I replied “And we had a fight.”Leah held her fists tight. She muttered few curse words. I was sniffing. After a minute of silence she seethed “That bitch. She always needs to do something, isn’t it?”I said “Yeah!”She gave me a weird look and said “Is there anything else you aren’t telling me. Look we all are here for you if anything happens, we will beat her ass up.”I gave her a smile ensuring she doesn’t worry too much and said “Thank you. I know you guys will be there for me, and there is nothing else for you to worry. And if case something is there I will let you know so you can kick some asses.”She chuckled “Ok, now fix your make up. You look like tired maleficent.”I looked at the mirror, gosh I did look terrible. I fixed my makeup and walked with her outside while talking. We walked towards the locker and I noticed that her minions were giggling but no sign of Viki. I shrugged thinking she must be fucking with one of the boys in gym area or bathroom.I grabbed my books and we walked towards the classroom. While walking we were stopped by Leo. He smiled at me and winked at Leah. I smiled back while Leah groaned. Leah said “Ugh again another day in hell with the Douche.”Leo smirked at her and said “Oh my, well it is miss hotness. How are you doing baby?”Leah hissed at him “I am not your baby. And move we have our class.”Leo said in sexy voice “Oh well I want to take your class after school.”Leah seethed “DON’T EVEN THINK OF IT!”Leo gave her a puppy eyes look and said “I meant tutoring baby. I want you to tutor me for Math. I wouldn’t touch you without your permission.”Leah hissed “I will never tutor you. Go find someone else.”Leo smirked “Tsk Tsk, too bad, you will have to tutor me. See you sweet cheeks.” He winked at her and walked towards his class.Leah was dumbfounded for a minute. You should see her face. It was full red like a tomato. I was laughing hard while hearing their conversation. She muttered “Good lord why me? Why do I have to end up with jerks?”I chuckled “You know you should give him chance. He isn’t bad as it seems.”Leah hissed “NEVER IN MY LIFE.”I smirked “We will see about that.”Leah sighed and said “Let’s go to class.” I nodded and we walked towards our class.We reached to our class and sat down. It was Chemistry first and I had it with Leah. Our teacher came in and announced “You guys will have tests next week for all the subjects. It will be for 40 marks and it will be counted in your finals. The portion will be based on what we have learnt till now.”Everyone started groaning. The teacher shouted “Silence! Now let’s get back to the Chemical Kinetics.” She continued while I was writing down the notes.After 2 and half hours.The bell rang. It was break time. I packed my bags and walked towards the cafeteria. As soon as I reached my locker, I noticed the minions alone. I couldn’t see Viki anywhere. Being the brave person I walked towards them and asked “Have you seen Viki?”One of her minions replied “She hasn’t come today. Why?”I replied “No its nothing.” and walked away.I was worried as hell. I hope she isn’t planning at home to do something. I closed my locker and noticed Zach looking at me with worries on his face. I smiled and hugged him. He hugged me back and asked “Baby, where were you? I have been calling you since yesterday evening but you didn’t pick any calls or replied to my messages.”I was sad when he asked that. I should have called him. I replied softly “I wasn’t feeling well babe and I was tired so I slept off early.”He smiled and kissed my forehead. He asked “I hope you are feeling okay now. Next time please do message me.”I thought he will shout or fight like normal couples do. But he didn’t. Not that I want him to scream but this was different. I love him for being different. I smiled and said “Okay baby. I am sorry.”He kissed me and said “Sshh its ok.”I smiled and we hugged each other. He said “Let’s get you some food.”I noticed Ryan on the other end of the locker. He was looking as if he has seen a ghost or something. I smiled and said “Okay you go ahead, I will be right there.”He said “Okay babe, I’ll go get us seats.” And walked away while waving at Ryan.Ryan gave a weak smile and walked towards me. He looked at me with worry on his face. He asked “Hey, I hope you are feeling alright.”I smiled “Yes. Viki hasn’t come today but. I hope she isn’t cooking up plans.”He gave an assuring look and said “Maybe she was sucked up by her past. Don’t worry about her. I am and will always be there for you.”I smiled and said “Thanks Ryan. One more thing, could you not tell anyone else about my past….as”He smiled back and said “What past? I don’t remember anything like that. What are you talking about?” I smiled at his words. He understood what I wanted to say before I could finish. It made me really happy. “I will be with you no matter what.” with an assuring look said Ryan.I smiled and hugged him and said “Love you best-friend and thank you.”He hugged me and said “Love you too bestie.” He also whispered something which I couldn’t hear.I pulled back and we walked together towards the cafeteria. On our way he asked “Uhm Angel, who do you think would have told Viki about your past?”I sighed and replied “I don’t know as well. I feel she must have overheard or she is faking it to scare me and back out.”Ryan held his hand on his chin and said “Hmmm maybe.”I said “Anyways lets change the topic.” I smirked at him and asked “How are things going with Mia?”He was looking at me as if he was trying to tell me something. He hesitated for a minute and said “N-nothing is going on with her.”I laughed and said “Sure whatever you say. You two will look cute together.”He stuttered “I-I am serious. I don’t feel like that towards her.”I chuckled “Yea yea okay.”We both chuckled and we reached the cafeteria. I saw Zach waving at me so I went to sit with him and the others. Ryan waved me bye and walked towards Max and Rhea. I also noticed Mia sitting with them and talking while blushing at Ryan. I chuckled at myself and started eating with others.Zach was talking with Lucas while I was talking with Leah. In middle Leo showed up and said “Baby, I will be there at 3pm.”Leah hissed “Ugh! I will NEVER tutor you and STOP calling me BABY!”Leo smirked and said “See you then sweet cheeks.” And winked at her and walked away.We all started laughing and Leah hissed at us. The bell rang and we walked towards our classes. It is Biology now and I had it with Ryan and Mia so we three walked while talking towards the class. The teacher came in and announced the test syllabus for next week’s test. There is so much to study but I will do it.After the class, Mia walked towards Ryan and asked “Ryan, umm could you help me tutor for Biology. I don’t understand the teacher.”Ryan felt nervous. He said “Y-yea sure I will.”Mia smiled and said “Okay when should I come?”He replied with a smile “Around 5 pm?”She smiled and said “Okay. See you then.”He said “O-okay.” And he walked out of class.I smiled and said “Mia why don’t you let me teach you?”She said “Actually, umm, I have studied already but I wanted to know about Ryan more. I like him.” While shyly looking at the floor.I said “Aww, don’t worry he is sweetest person you have ever met.” To be honest, I was taken aback when she said this. A part of me didn't want Ryan to teach her. But its his wish. I mean I am dating Zach, I cannot have feelings towards Ryan can I? This is stupid. The feelings will go eventually. Ryan is my best-friend. I can't have feelings for Ryan. I do love Zach and I will continue to love him only. Stop it heart. I love zach only. She blushed and hugged me and said “Thank you.”I hugged her back and said “You’re welcome. I will go now. See ya tomorrow. Bye Mia”She smiled said “Okay bye Angel.”I walked towards the car and went home. After 30 minutes, I got home and freshened up. I had my lunch and got lost in my books. I started studying Chemistry as it is the longest. While short ones I’ll keep for night before I go to bed. After 4 hours of chemistry I was done and I went down to eat dinner.I had and then got back to studying. I was done with Chemistry and half of Biology. I was tired so I closed the books and decided to sleep. It was weird, the whole incidents of yesterday and today were flashing and kept wondering what tomorrow will hold, but I tried to shove them deep inside me. It took me few minutes to drift off to sleep as luckily I was tired. Hey guys. Hope you liked the chapter. What will happen between Viki and Angel? Was Viki bluffing or did she really know her past? What is Viki’s past? Was Angel jealous when she offered Mia help or does her heart knows but she isn’t ready to accept her feelings towards Ryan?
