chapter 12

Hey guys! This is a continued chapter of part 1 & 2 of Angel’s birthday so it will still be narrative style. Narrative’s POVAngel questioned Rhea while she and Max just came from the hotel “Hey Rhea where is Zach?” Hearing this Max left while cursing in silence, Angel was confused at his behavior but Rhea brought her attention back and said “He will be here in a minute. He had some work.” Angel was delighted and said “Ok, we will wait for him.” By then Leah tells everyone to gather around Angel and also brings the cake.It was a very well made double layered chocolate cake just the way Angel had imagined. Everyone were gathered and Angel was standing in front of the cake. Yet the whole situation was missing something, and that was Zach.That is when she sees him coming and her face turned from worried to excitement. Ryan saw Angel’s expressions and was happy to see her happy yet sad because she was waiting for Zach so dearly and wished that if he would be in his place he would never keep her waiting.Zach came and gave the sexiest smile to Angel “I’m so sorry babe, something came up. But here I’m. Come on cut the cake.” She blushes and says “I will only if you join me.” They both smile at each other and Leah lights up all the candles and Zach and Angel blow them and cut the cake together.Everyone pulls out their gifts and Angel collects them and gives to Leah who arranges them at the table to take it back home later. Ryan came and gave Angel his gift and she opens it. She was happily surprised and said “Thank you Ryan for the bracelet. It’s beautiful. I will wear it.” Ryan smiled and said “Anything for you Angel.” She took the bracelet and wore it. She looked at the bracelet and then looked at Ryan and smiled.That moment Ryan’s heart started to beat faster. He went and kissed her. She kissed him back. They looked at each other for a while and Ryan was caressing her cheek. Suddenly, Ryan was disturbed by continuous snipping when he came back from his dream. He looked at Angel laughing “Ryan where were you lost?” He blushed a little and said “N-Nothing. I am glad you liked it.” She said while smiling “I loved it, thank you once again.”Lastly it was Zach. He asks Angel to close her eyes and then to open it. When she opens her eyes, she is surprised and amazed. It’s the beautiful painting of hers and a book which she wanted to read from a very long time.  “Thanks babe, it’s the most beautiful, thoughtful and special gift.” said Angel. “Love you babe!” replied Zach.Later once all the gifting was done, “Ooo it’s a party let’s dance” Leah pulls everyone to the dance floor and they all dance together. They all start to groove and have fun together. It had been half an hour or so when they got tired few people continued dancing and few came out to eat or drink.Everyone were sitting together when Mia comes over to Ryan. Mia shared few classes with Ryan and she has a crush on him. Everyone knew exceot for Ryan. He never looked at any girl except Angel. She said “Hey! Would you maybe… like to… uhh... dance with me?” Everyone were amazed at this and said “aww” to which Mia blushed and Ryan was blank. Yet being a gentleman that he was gave her a smile and they proceeded to dance. It was a pretty good slow romantic music. They both held hands and were dancing. Angel with others just kept looking at them. They seemed pretty good together.It was perfect the song the lighting the mood. Well how could Mr. Douche not take the advantage of the good opportunity to ask Ms. Feisty for a dance?“Hello there feisty, would you care to dance with this handsome and dashing gentleman.” asked Leo.“Why, thank you.” with her hands covering her face and blushing said Leah.Everyone were shocked yet laughing even Ryan and Mia from the distance at Leah’s behavior and the smirk Leo was giving looking at everyone showing how impressively he asked out and got a yes from Leah. After few seconds when they didn’t stop laughing he saw what just happened and turned towards Leah and saw her giving the smirk. “No, Mr. Douche I would not like to dance with you.”Everyone started laughing even more. Leo stood there for a minute before his smirk came back and he pulled Leah by putting his arms around her waist and bringing her closer to him. They were quite closer. Everyone were astonished as to what just happened.Leah’s natural instinct they knew would have pushed him or break free from his grip, but she was lost in his eyes. They were magical. He was lost in her eyes and she was lost in his. It may have been few seconds but for them time had come to a standstill. That is when Leo moves forward and says something in her ears and she blushes. He loosens the grip a bit and takes her to the dance floor by still having his hands around her waist.Oh they were certainly the hottest couple on the floor. They had spark, fire and passion for each other and everyone could see it. They dance together and are in their own world.Meanwhile, the other couples join in to along with Rhea and Max, Zach and Angel, Lucas and Sarah and they have their dance. The slow romantic song finishes and DJ says “HEY!! Boys & girls let’s have a mixer dance. Where the ladies are in the inner circle and men on the outer and both keep moving to their right. YEAH!!”The DJ starts to play the music everyone enjoys dancing with different partners. Then the song comes ‘“I’ve been waiting for you.” By Abba’ and that is when Ryan and Angel come together to dance.They look at each other and smile and enjoy the slow music again. It seemed perfect for them. The song, the mood, Angel, everything just one thing was missing, that was them being together. It was as if they are meant to be, but are not. “Thank you for the beautiful surprise and also for being here and making this evening all the more special for me.” said Angel.“It’s always my pleasure.” replied Ryan. They smiled at each other and continued dancing. He wished for the song and the evening to never end. Both kept their eye contact and smile and danced. But at times as all good things may come to end the song did too. But before she went to the next partner she said “Oh I almost forgot thank you too for…” she looks at something but quickly turns back to Ryan as he questions “for?”. She smiles at him and says “For everything.”Meanwhile, Zach excused himself for a minute to go and talk to the DJ. He came back and made an announcement. “Girls and boys can I have your attention. Thank you. I would like to dance with the most beautiful girl present over here. Care to dance with me beautiful?” Angel blushed and said yes and they proceeded to dance over the song, ‘“I think about you” by Ross Lynch.’ They have a sweet dance and at the end of the dance they kiss.It was the last straw for Ryan. He had enough of all this. Though he danced with Angel and had a great time but things that happened were making him uncomfortable to stay there. He wanted her to be his but she wasn’t and this fact after all that had happened today was making it difficult for him to digest. He left without telling anyone.He went back home and the journey back from the beach to his room was rough. He was listening to the song I Wish from One direction. He was singing along with the lyrics.“He takes your hand, I die a littleI watch your eyes and I'm in riddlesWhy can't you look at me like that?When you walk by, I try to say itBut then I freeze, and never do itMy tongue gets tied, the words get trapped (Trapped)I hear the beat of my heart getting louder, whenever I'm near youBut I see youWith him slow dancingTearing me apart 'cause you don't seeWhenever youKiss him, I'm breaking,Oh how I wish that was me” and started crying while singing the rest of the song.He was hurt. He had imagined this day to be perfect which was but the emotions were too much to handle. The day kept playing in his mind from the time he got up to the time he left. It was too much for him. He started screaming Angel while crying. He said while crying “I wish you were mine. I wish I had told you before Zach did. Fuck myself. I am a fucking coward. I am suffering now for it. Please open your eyes soon my sweet Angel. Please open your eyes and see the true Zach.” He cried even more after saying this.As soon as he reached home he wiped his tears and looked at his pendant which was a cross sign. He kissed it while saying “Please open your eyes and realize I am the one for you.” and straight ran up to his room. He changed and switched off his phone to try and go to sleep but all his efforts went in vain. He twisted and turned while sniffing and tears falling from his face yet nothing gradually after few hours due to tiredness he fell asleep.Meanwhile at the party after the dance and kiss, Zach requested everyone to come and join with them and everyone joined them. Slowly when nobody was watching them Zach asked Angel to follow him quietly, which she did and they both exited the beach. Once they were out he said to her, “Do you trust me?” she replied with a nod and he showed her a cloth. She smiled and said go ahead. He blindfolded her and she followed instructions from him and then they both finally reached their destination.“I hope you like it.” said Zach. She opened her eyes to see the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. She was speechless and just smiled at him and ran towards the edge and said “It’s perfect” to which he replied “Just like you.”She turns towards him and their eyes meet and they kiss under the starry lights at the top of the hotel for which Zach had arranged specially for her and it was perfect.After spending about half an hour talking and enjoying their perfect moment together they realize that if the go missing for too long from their own party everyone may get worried so they decide to go back.Reaching there they see most of them had left as it was quite late and the gang to make it a more memorable day rather a night decided to have a camp and a bonfire and to enjoy the rest of the night together. That is when Angel notices that Ryan is not around and asks Rhea where he might have gone to which she replied “He might have left.” Which made Angel to think about him but soon she was pulled out to enjoy the bonfire and she kept her thoughts aside for tomorrow. Hey guys!!!
