Chapter 722

The car drove quickly as it was getting closer to the Phil family’s place. Kelly was a little nervous. She looked up at Ian and reminded him, “We’re almost there. Ian, don’t stick to me and keep a distance from me.”

Ian was looking at the scenery outside the window. The moving light and shadow shone on his exquisite face.

When he heard Kelly’s words, he looked sideways slightly. His posture was noble and distant.

However, with that side glance, the distant look on his face was gone and replaced by a loving expression.

He glanced around and measured the distance between him and Kelly.

The two of them were sitting close together, their shoulders touching and their fingers intertwined. It was a very intimate posture.

“Okay.” Ian nodded and caressed her fingertips. “When we arrive later, we won’t hold hands. You’ll hold my arm.”

Kelly was stunned. Holding his arm seemed a little intimate.

“That won’t do.” Kelly thought for a moment. “Let’s put some distance between us.”

‘Can’t she even hold my arm?’

Ian raised his eyebrows and looked stunned. The distant look on his face was gone, and he now looked a bit adorably aggrieved.

However, he felt that they would be quite distant if she merely held his arm. If they got any less intimate, he would not be able to withstand it.

‘No, no. I can’t be too distant with Kelly.’

Ian’s tone was serious. “Kelly, I just want to keep a small distance from you. I don’t want to be distant from you.”

She hoped that Ian’s grandpa would like her, but she wouldn’t purposely make that happen. She just wanted to do her best.

After Kelly thought it through, her expression became even more relaxed.

The car arrived at the Phil family’s place and was parked to the side under the command of the security guard at the entrance.

Ian led Kelly out of the car and into the living room.

A lot of people were sitting in the living room. In the centermost armchair sat an old man with gray hair, a kind face, and determined eyes.

It was Joshua.

When Ian saw Joshua, his indifferent face showed some admiration. He said in a low voice, “Grandpa.”

“Ian.” Joshua’s eyes were red. His lips trembled when he saw his grandson. It took him a long while to calm down.

Ian introduced Kelly. “Grandpa, she is Kelly, my wife.”

Kelly bowed. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Phil.”

“Great.” Joshua was very happy.

He thought that although his granddaughter-in-law was not satisfactory, his grandson, who was aloof and indifferent, was finally married, which still made Joshua very excited.

At this moment, he couldn’t care less about reasoning with Ian. Her eyes were filled with longing and gratification.

After Joshua and Ian finished speaking, the others started chattering.

“Ian, you’re already married. Why didn’t you say anything about it? When is the wedding?”

“How did you two meet?”

Everyone was curious about Kelly.

Ian answered everyone’s questions unhurriedly. His attitude toward Kelly was intimate, but not particularly intimate. He maintained a just-right distance.
