His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
Chapter 70
The familiar yet foreign voice halted, and Thaddeus immediately spotted the man before him moving with a speed and grace that was almost ghost-like, Elvis was making bold moves, clearly aiming to strike him hard; each punch was fierce and swift like lightning.
Thaddeus furrowed his brows, his large figure dodging twice.
âNot bad; your skills are pretty decent.â Elvis squinted his eyes, his tone filled with sarcasm.
Thaddeusâs eyes sparkled, and he took a deep breath.
He had retired many years ago, and although he still practiced boxing from time to time, it had been a while since he engaged in a fierce brawl with someone.
The only things he could rely on were his solid foundational skills and muscle memory.
After a few rounds of sparring with this big guy. Thaddeus suddenly realized that he was somewhat familiar with his opponentâs moves.
His actions had hints of the close combat techniques they learned in military school.
Who the hell was this guy?
âAh!!â Thaddeus was caught off guard when Elvis landed a kick on his abdomen. The intense pain left him agape, but he didnât fall; he only sta ggered back a couple of steps.
What a tough ba stard!
âMr. Thaddeus!â
Gordon, witnessing the scene, gasped and ran over to support him, panting heavily. âAre you alright?â
âIâm fine.â Thaddeus suppressed the pain, giving a soft cough.
âBlo ody hell you dare hit Mr. Thaddeus?! Iâll fight you to the death!â Gordon was so angry that his face turned red; he darted towards Elvis without thinking.
âGordon! Get back!â
Thaddeus tried to stop him, but it was too late.
Gordon was no match for Elvis, rushing over like this was simply seeking his own death.
âHa, what an overestimation of oneâs capabilities!â
Sure enough, Gordonâs punch didnât even touch Elvisâs collar; he was knocked out by a single punch from Elvis.
Thaddeus was instantly fuming: âIâm sure I know you! Who the hell are you?â
Elvis just smirked and raised an eyebrow.
They certainly knew each other. They both studied at the same military school and were well-known figures there, but they just didnât have any interaction outside of training.
âYou want to know whoâs the most important person in my life, donât you? Well, I donât mind telling you.â
Elvis strode over Gordon and took a couple of steps towards Thaddeus, grinning wickedly.
âThe person I care about is your ex-wife.â
Thaddeusâs pupils constricted sharply, his fingers trembling as he clenched his fists.
âYouâre asking for death!â
Thaddeusâs muscular b*dy tightened under his gray suit, radiating anger and fury.
In the next moment, he charged at Elvis like a thunderbolt; their fists and feet clashed, full of vigor.
Elvisâs eyes darkened, and he found that even though Thaddeus was no longer a soldier, his moves were still as swift as before, and despite his sophisticated suit, he moved incredibly agile. He was not to be underestimated.
It was like he was a bada ss gangster from a movie!
After dozens of rounds, Thaddeus gradually began to lose ground. The effects of his drunkenness hadnât worn off yet, his limbs were weak, and he felt dizzy. It was a miracle he could still hold on till now.
Finally, he was knocked to the ground by Elvis, and a surge of severe pain shot through his back.
âBa stard, go to hell.â
Just as Elvis was about to kick Thaddeus again to vent his anger, another man suddenly appeared.
âYou dare to harm my friend at Elmsworth? Youâre really pushing your luck!â
Jareth ran over at top speed and stood in front of Thaddeus, his brows furrowed and his eyes filled with rage.
âAnother one, what a nuisance.â
Elvis squinted his eyes, and just as he was about to move, he froze.
Facing him was the barrel of a gun.
Jareth had somehow pulled out a gun and pointed it straight at Elvisâs head!
âDonât come any closer! Or Iâll shoot!â
Jareth was actually scared too; he witnessed the fight between the two when he just arrived and immediately came to a conclusion.
He had to use a weapon!
âJareth, donât be rash!â Thaddeus managed to breathe, his abdomen spasm in pain.
âThad, are you alright? He nearly hurt you, and youâre asking me to hold back?!â Jareth was livid: âIf you donât want to die, then get lost, or I swear Iâll shoot! The Jareth family can make you disappear from Elmsworth without a trace, no problem!â
Elvis didnât care at all; he took another step forward, his eyes cold and ruthless.
15:19
âThad, run!â Jareth yelled, his heart pounding as he pulled the trigger.
âJareth! Stop!â
Bang!
The gun went off but the bullet didnât hit Elvis.
âUgh, it hurts.â
Evadne, who had suddenly appeared, tightly held onto Elvis, and the bullet hit her left shoulder!
Although it wasnât a real bullet, it was still powerful!
Evadne was sweating profusely from the pain, her b*dy trembling.
But even so, she held onto Elvis firmly; she wouldnât let go no matter what happened.
Thaddeus was shocked, his heart plummeting as if he had fallen from a tall building!
Every part of his b*dy ached, but all these pains combined couldnât compare to the shock of Ilana taking a bullet for this man.
His wife, even if she was his ex-wife, when she saw her ex-husband being attacked, she didnât think of him first but protected the man who tried to hurt him!
llana, how could she do this to him?
She was completely betraying him and she was an accomplice!
âIlana!â
Elvisâs eyes widened. He held onto Evadneâs shaky shoulder, and when he opened his hand, it was covered in blood!
He gasped. Hatred exploded in his heart; the pain was like a knife twisting in his heart.
âBa stard! Iâll kill you!â
Jareth was stunned then the gun in his hand suddenly dropped to the ground.
Ilana appeared too quickly so he didnât have time to react. Otherwise, how could he have fired that shot?
âElvis.â
Evadne leaned gently into him, whispering into his shoulder, âIf you still want me to see you as a brother, you better scram! Or else, Iâll never forgive you!â
âBut Ilana.â
Evadne shot him a fiery glare, pushing Elvis away without a second thought.
A pang of anxiety hit Elvis. He knew Evadne was truly pis sed off. If he didnât leave, heâd lose her.
So, swallowing the heartache, he left quickly, arranging for Cas sius to take Evadne to the hospital.
Evadne breathed a temporary sigh of relief, rushing to check on Thaddeusâs injuries while completely ignoring her own wounds.
âMr. Jareth, get the ambulance here now. Both of them need to go to the hospital,â
âBut youâre injured too! You need to be treated right away!â Jareth was wracked with guilt.
âI know my own b*dy; itâs nothing serious.â
Evadne gritted her teeth, reaching out to do a preliminary check on Thaddeus.
*Stop being a drama queen, Ilana. Get lost.â Thaddeus was laying on the ground, panting, his eyes filled with anger.
He was mad because she had helped a criminal escape but was more worried about her worsening injury, hoping that sheâd see a doctor right away.
TII leave once Iâve checked you out. Iâll be out of your hair.â
Evadne lowered her head, insisting on checking his leg with her own hands.
His face was bruised, his l*ps blo ody, and his once pristine suit was now d*rty.
How could she not feel heartbroken? That playful Elvis had really gone overboard.
âI said, leave now! Donât you get it?â Thaddeus, furious and worried, shouted at her.
âNo way! You have old injuries. I canât take this lightly! I need to make sure youâre okay before I leave!â Evadne snapped back, her eyes red with frustration.
Thaddeus stared at Evadneâs beautiful, serious face, filled with confusion.
How did she know about his old injuries? Did Jareth tell her?
Soon, the ambulance arrived, taking Thaddeus and Gordon to the nearest hospital.
Luckily, Thaddeusâs injuries were superficial. Tthere was no damage to the muscles or bones, and his old injury hadnât flared up, allowing Evadne to finally breathe easy.
In the hospital, Jareth never left Evadneâs side, except for when the doctor was removing the bullet from her shoulder.
âHow is it? Did it hit the bone?â
Jarethâs heart was in his throat as he saw her walk out of the treatment room, looking pale.
Evadne smiled faintly, shaking her head. âJust a few stitches, no big deal,â
âJust a few stitches. You think thatâs no big deal?â
Jarethâs heart sk ipped a beat; he was on edge. âWill there be any complications? Will it affect your movement? Ilana, you canât hide the truth from me; you have to tell me!â Evadne was puzzled, joking in a soft tone. âThe way youâre talking, itâs like if Iâm not badly hurt, Iâd be letting you down. So what if I really was hurt and couldnât move my arm anymore? What would you do then?â
âIâd marry you.â
Evadneâs beautiful eyes widened slightly. âWhat?â

Jarethâs throat bobbed, his eyes turning red, his voice h oa rse but firm. âIâd always take responsibility for you. Ilana, If you were really hurt, Iâd marry you, I would never let you suffer any more wrongs!â
