“Why don’t you head back to Elmsworth first? I imagine Ms. Ashbourne might be unable to eat or sleep well without you.” Chad showed signs of fatigue and a desire to end the meeting, “I’ll get the medication as soon as possible and send someone with it. You trust me, don’t you?”

With the conversation reaching its natural end, Thaddeus had no choice but to rise and take his leave.

After the man had left, Chad narrowed his eyes and opened the box beside him, retrieving the medication that Thaddeus had requested.
