His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 51
His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
Chapter 51
Evadne had been cooped up in Starry Villa for a solid three days.
She was hell-bent on finding a matching diamond to fix the bracelet Grandpa had given her, and she barely slept a wink in those three days. When she was dead tired, she would take a quick nap in her studio, grab a bite of something simple when she woke up, and then return to work.
Her three brothers were kicked out of the villa during the day, and they would ditch all their social events in the evening to come back and have dinner with her.
Despite the feast her brothers had prepared for her, she would sit there, poking at her pasta with her fork, looking all down in the dumps.
Her brothers were at their witâs end, and they didnât have a clue how to help her.
They didnât know the first thing about jewelry!
âMs. Evadne,â
Evadne snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Mr. Louis listlessly.
Mr. Louis pulled out a box from behind him that he had prepared beforehand and placed it in front of her.
âMr. Louis, whatâs this?â
âJust open it.â
Evadne furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, and opened the box.
The moment she saw what was inside the box, she was taken aback, Her hand flew to her mouth, and she stared at the sparkling diamond bracelet.
Even though there were slight differences, the bracelet in the box was very similar to the one grandpa had given her!
âThis belonged to Mr. Patric, and it was one of his proudest creations. He had intended to give this bracelet to his lover, but he didnât get the chance in the end.â Mr. Louis said, a hint of regret in his voice.
âLover? Mr. Patrick never got married, Who was his lover?â Arnold asked curiously.
Mr. Louis glanced at him, âWho hasnât had a crush before!â
âI actually thought Mr. Patrick didnât like women.â
Elvis joked, sipping his drink, âSo why didnât he give it to her? Got cold feet?â
âMr. Patrickâs lover was a friend he had grown up with. He used to despise her and would often tease her. But after twenty years of being together, Mr. Patrick fell for her without even realizing it. She got married, and he wanted to give her this bracelet as a gift. But she got into a severe car accident on her wedding day and was declared brain dead. She left this world.â
Upon hearing this, the siblings of the Ashbourne family were taken aback, their hearts filled with sorrow.
âSince then, Mr. Patrick cut off all emotional connections. He never fell for any other woman again and lived his lonely days comforting his soul. He knew his feelings were still there, he just couldnât find an outlet. Mr. Patrick wasnât incapable of love. On the contrary, how many men in this world could love as deeply as Mr. Patrick?â
Evadne couldnât help but sigh, a hint of envy in her eyes.
âBut isnât all this tragedy because Mr. Patrick could not realize his own feelings? Isnât that just asking for trouble?â
Cas sius, Arnold, and Evadne all glared at Elvis, who drank his drink awkwardly.
A bitter feeling welled up in Evadneâs heart.
Mr. Patrick, who seemed so cold and unfeeling, had actually fallen for a woman without realizing it. During her three years of marriage with Thaddeus, did that man ever show her a hint of compa**ion or affection?
Did he ever regret it after their divorce?
Could he? No way.
If he had any regrets, he wouldnât have kept hurting her with his words; if he had any regrets, he wouldnât have sided with those horrible women without knowing the truth and questioning her character.
After the divorce, she was no longer his wife, and he didnât even bother to show her basic respect.
Evadne scoffed in her heart, picked up her gla**, and downed the drink. The burning sensation in her throat sobered her up instantly.
Comparing Thaddeus with Mr. Patrick, Mr. Patrick would probably be pis sed.
âMs. Evadne, you should take this bracelet. Iâve compared it; itâs very similar to your bracelet.â Mr. Louis said seriously as he looked at her.
âNo, I canât. This is Mr. Patrickâs legacy, and itâs too valuable. I canât accept it!â Evadne felt a pang in her heart, and quickly pushed the box back towards him.
âMr. Patrick left a will, any of you can take his things whenever you want; donât be shy.â
Tears welled up in Evadneâs eyes.
âYouâve been working so hard to fix that bracelet these past few days, and Iâve seen it all. That bracelet must mean a lot to you. Youâre a good kid, Mr. Patrick would have wanted you to have this bracelet. Just take itâ Mr. Louis said with a loving smile and shoved the box into her hands.
The Ashbourne siblings left Starry Villa that night, bidding Mr. Louis goodbye.
Their luxury car made its way toward Elmsworth.
Evadne was leaning against Cas sius, her eyes half-closed from exhaustion, clutching the box tightly in her arms.
âEvadne, thereâs something I need to tell you. The night you came back to Skyrim, Thaddeus contacted me.â Cas sius said, his voice a bit h oa rse.
âI know.â Evadneâs heart ached, but she responded casually.
âI told him to stop contacting you, and I said some pretty harsh things to him. I donât know what he thinks now.â
âYou did good. Iâm way too good for him. Thereâs no way he could easily get to me. Iâm the girlfriend of the CEO of the K Group.â
âYes, youâre the goddess in all the Ashbourne menâs hearts.â Cas sius looked at her with a loving smile.

âBro, phone.â Evadne reached out for his phone.
Cas sius was lost for words, handing her his phone. âThe pa**code is your birthday.â
âI know.â
Evadne scrolled through his contacts, decisively adding Thaddeus to the block list.
âYouâre quite decisive,â Cas sius chuckled.
âHow will he ever remember what you said if I donât cut him off completely?â Evadneâs eyes were icy as she spoke of her ex-husband.
Thaddeus was barely eating or sleeping these past few days because his ex-wife had ghosted entirely him.
Ilana had vanished, and Hamiltion was hounding him with calls every day, nagging him more than a love-struck teen girl.
âMr. Thaddeus, should we call the cops?â Gordon suggested from the side.
He tried to help Thaddeus brainstorm, âWe could report her missing. Technically, you and Ilana arenât divorced yet, youâre still husband and wife. Itâs normal for a husband to report his wife missing. Thereâs no way we canât find her.â
âThis is your brilliant idea?â Thaddeus shot him a discontent look.
âWell, what else are we supposed to do? Ilanaâs disappeared off the face of the earth. She doesnât have a phone, no friends, even the only person who could reach her wonât give you the time of day.â
Thaddeus glared at his clueless secretary, wishing he could just shut him up.
Last night, he tried calling Cas sius only to find out heâd been blocked!
For the first time, Thaddeus experienced what it felt like to be thrown into the abyss. He sat there, head spinning, thoughts chaotic. It took a good ten minutes before he collected himself.
The feeling of being oppressed and being humiliated stung deep.
Thaddeus stood up, grabbed his suit jacket from the coat rack, and headed for the door.
âGet the car ready, and weâre going to K Orld Hotel!â
Once back in Skyrim, Evadne threw herself into work.
Jason had been leading the senior team in meetings these past few days, running the show. Seeing Ms. Evadne back in high spirits, he finally relaxed.
The hotelâs occupancy rate had increased by 20% recently. Not an earth-shattering achievement, but progress nonetheless.
Evadne had recently re-planned the hotelâs breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus and even held a food festival. Now, they had more and more customers coming specifically for the food. The income from just the dining section was already pretty impressive.
But for Evadne, these achievements were far from enough.
She was ambitious, and she wanted the K Orld Hotel to grow stronger and surpa** the Abernathy groupâs hotels.
In marriage, she had suffered a crushing defeat.
But in business, she was determined not to lose to Thaddeus!
âDid I hear right that someone actually booked our Presidential Suite last night? The one thatâs been vacant for two years?â
Evadne casually asked while looking over financial reports.
âGuess who booked it?â Jason gently ma**aged Ms. Evadneâs shoulders from behind, his hands skilled.
âItâs not Jareth again, is it?â
âItâs Glynnis.â
Evadneâs eyes lit up, and she immediately asked, âWhy would she book such a big room?â
âAccording to our room service staff, she was throwing a party with three friends. Later in the night, two tall models sl*pped into her room, and they kept busy all night. Good thing our hotel has good soundproofing. The models left the Presidential Suite around five in the morning, probably to avoid suspicion.â
âIâve heard Glynnisâs personal life is quite a mess. But two men for three women, isnât that a bit much?â
Evadneâs tone was distaste, âMake sure the cleaners do a thorough job when they check out. The sheets, the duvet, weâre throwing them all out. Iâm worried other guests might get sick.â
Just then, Jasonâs phone rang. It was a call from one of the managers.
He answered and listened for a bit, his face quickly darkening.
âWhat happened?â Evadne asked sharply.
âMs. Evadne, Glynnis is making a scene in the lobby. She claimed that our staff stole something from her and wanted an explanation now!â
