His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
Chapter 27
âHoly cow! Thaddeus, have you lost your mind?!â Jarethâs pupils dilated in disbelief.
Evadne turned pale, her slender arms hanging limply by her sides, her smooth forehead glistening with cold sweat.
Jareth and Thaddeus treated her so differently, one gentle and caring, the other brutish and ruthless.
Thaddeus grabbed Evadneâs fingers and gave them a squeeze, his l*ps parting in shock as he stepped back.
âMs. Ilana, your arm is dislocated. Iâm taking you to the hospital right away.â Jareth was frantic, wanting to help Evadne, but she coldly dodged him. âNo need, I can handle it myself.â
âHow can you handle it? Your arm is dislocated.â
âThatâs none of your business.â
Evadne was furious to the extreme, her bright eyes glaring wide, as if her whole b*dy was filled with pri ckles, untouchable.
Jareth stood still, not daring to make any moves.
Thaddeus stared at his ex-wife, her entire b*dy trembling with anger, and he suddenly realized that he hardly knew her at all.
They had been married for three years. She used to be gentle and always smiling, even with a hint of appeasement. At that time, he was filled with discontent towards such a marriage. The more she smiled at him, the angrier he became, and eventually, he even grew disgusted by her.
Now they had split, and the ever-smiling her had disappeared from his life. But her current rage towards him made her seem so real and alive.
â
âThaddeus, stop being so self-righteous.â Evadne took a deep breath, her eyes reddening, âMy decision to work wasnât intended to hurt your pride. I only wanted to find my own way of surviving after you abandoned me, to discover a new way of life. I donât understand why you can end our three-year marriage without hesitation, but when I want to start a new life, you hinder me at every turn. Canât you let go of me? No, youâre not that kind, you just canât stand to see me doing well.â
Thaddeusâs eyes slightly narrowed, his throat felt like it was blocked by a rock, rendering him speechless.
Seeing his silence, Evadneâs heart trembled, she forced back the pain in her heart and mocked, âDo you want to see me miserable every day, unable to live because of the heartache? No way, Thaddeus. These three years, Iâve been living in pain every day. Leaving you is not a continuation of the tragedy, but a complete liberation. Donât come looking for me before grandpaâs birthday, I donât want to see you.â Evadne turned around, the pain in her heart surpa**ing the pain in her arm, so much so that she had become numb. In fact, this small injury was nothing to her, she could easily reset her arm in front of them. But she wanted to see herself in this sorry state, she wanted all her nerves to feel the pain, only then would she feel relieved.
Suddenly, Evadne felt a warmth on her lower back, and then the world spun. Thaddeus came up behind her and picked her up without hesitation.
âPut me down!â Evadneâs face turned red, and she struggled in his arms.
The more she tried to struggle, the tighter Thaddeus held her, his broad chest trapping her like a cage, leaving no room for her to resist. Evadneâs b*dy was pressed against his chest, feeling his rapid heartbeat, even smelling the scent she liked on his collar.
She suddenly felt like crying. Many nights, she would spray his cologne on her bed to accompany her to sleep. The sweet memories of the past now only brought resentment.
âIâm taking you to the hospital. Your shoulder is dislocated. We canât delay.â Thaddeusâs face was expressionless, but his gazes were deeper. âLet go of me, Thaddeus. You didnât care about me when we were married, you have no right to touch me after divorce.â Evadne cried out angrily, her voice h oa rse.
But Thaddeus seemed not to hear, his face was tense as he walked forward determinedly.
Jareth clicked his tongue and hurried to catch up. âWhatâs going on? You two are already divorced and still canât clear up the mess. Let me help you, Ms. Ilana.â
âBeat it.â
âBeat it.â
The two of them shouted in unison, one with red eyes, the other with a red face.
Jareth was surprised, âWow, you two really look like a couple.â
Hospital.
Evadne was taken into the clinic, Thaddeus and Jareth waited in the corridor.
âThaddeus, you were really rough with her. Her tiny arm couldnât handle your strength, what if you broke it?â Jareth shook his head in
dissatisfaction.
âHow did you know she was working there?â Thaddeusâs eyes were cold as he glared at him, anger burning in his gaze.
âI was there for a meal and happened to see her. When I got there, she was doing heavy lifting at the back door, working hard. You couldnât tell she used to be the wife of a CEO.â Jareth said with a smile, his voice full of admiration, âSheâs humble and adaptable; sheâs the most special woman Iâve ever met.â
Thaddeusâs hand clenched tightly, his voice was a little h oa rse. âThen you really have not met a lot people.â
âThatâs better than someone who has eyes but canât recognize gold.â Jareth responded sarcastically, and they continued to hurt each other. Thaddeusâs eyes reddened, his heart felt like it was being squeezed.
âTruth be told, I always thought you two would get back together.â Jareth commented.
âImpossible.â Thaddeusâs voice was h oa rse, he coldly replied.
âYou clearly still care about her, otherwise why would you rush over here? Look at how anxious you were, your eyes were shining when you saw her, and you say you donât care?â
Jareth leaned against the wall, crossed his arms and shook his head, âThaddeus, what youâre doing is really unfair. You dumped your old love for a new one, and now youâre upset to see her in love again. You donât want to be like Emeric and have multiple women, do you?â âShe promised grandpa that we can only officially divorce after grandpaâs eightieth birthday, she should be able to do it.â
âShe only agreed to delay it to consider grandpaâs feelings. But youâre holding on to it like youâve found some sort of leverage, itâs really a bit too much.â
âThis is my private business. You donât need to interfere.â Thaddeus felt a sense of oppression.
âI donât really wanna butt in, but I kinda fancy Ms. Ilana, and Iâd like to see where things could go with her, so I wanted to talk to you about it, you know, see if you could step back a bit?â Jareth mimicked Evadneâs speech pattern, his normally flirty eyes turning serious.
âJust drop it, youâre not her type,â Thaddeusâs face darkened.
âWhether Iâm her type or not, thatâs up to her to decide.â
âJareth.â
Jareth ignored Thaddeusâs growing anger, tilting his head and raising an eyebrow. âBut listen, if you change your mind before marrying Acacia, and decide you want to get back together with her, Iâll step off and stop chasing her. After all, weâve been friends for years, and I respect you as a true friend. But if you keep hovering around Ms. Ilana even after your get married to Acacia, I might have to fight you for her.â
Thaddeusâs l*ps tightened, his stern face clouded over.
âThaddeus.â A roar echoed through the quiet hallway.
As Thaddeus turned his head, a strong punch landed squarely on his cheek.
