His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 139
His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
Chapter 139
Ca**ius was staring at Evadne, his eyes deep and mysterious.
His sister was a pro at seizing opportunities. She never played by the rules, and she was always ready to break them.
Given a slim chance, she could turn the tables, create bigger gains, and catch her opponents offâguard.
Georgeâs face changed. He hadnât expected Evadne to ask him that.
âFrom the look on your face, you must know something.â Evadne said coldly, a smirk playing on her l*ps.
âI know.â George swallowed hard, stuttering. âBecause the child is mineâ¦â
The Ashbourne siblings were taken aback.
Evadneâs hand clenched excitedly. This storm had brought her great benefits.
âWhat happened exactly? Tell me.â Ca**ius demanded in a frosty voice.
âI used to be a personal trainer at a highâend gym overseas. Thatâs where I met Acacia and we grew closer. She was a real seductress, and we ended up together.â
Evadneâs eyes were full of curiosity. âGo on.â
âBut we never made it official, it was a casual thing. Acacia was never short of guys. I was just one of them. One time, we took some stuff, and she let loose. I didnât take precautions, and she took the morningâafter pill, but those things arenât 100% safe. She found out she was pregnant not long after.â
Evadne blinked, so Acacia was into drugs. That was a surprise.
âGiven Acaciaâs character, she wouldnât have wanted to keep the child. How come she did?â
âShe said her health was fragile, that if she had an abortion, she wouldnât be able to have kids anymore. She said no rich family would accept a barren daughterâinâlaw, so she had to tough it out and have the baby.â
George couldnât resist a jab at Acacia, âShe was very skilled in bed. You couldnât tell she was weak.â
That was a sore spot for Evadne. But she quickly composed herself, asking calmly, âWhereâs the child now?â
âI only know sheâs in an orphanage overseas. She should be two or three years old now. Thatâs a little girl. thatâs all I know.â
George wasnât hiding anything, but he was so selfish that he had never visited his own daughter. That was all the information he had.
âYou people being parents is an insult to all parents.â Ca**ius couldnât contain his anger, âThatâs your child. You just threw her away like garbage, out of sight, out of mind?â
âI didnât completely ignore her. I heard that Acaciaâs mother has been keeping tabs on my daughter. My child was taken away as soon as she was born! That woman must know where my daughter is!â George couldnât stand the pressure and spilled some more information.
Evadneâs bright eyes twinkled. She had an idea. Then she turned to her brother.
They shared an understanding look, knowing what the other was thinking without exchanging a word.
Just then, the basement door opened and a b*dyguard walked in briskly with Georgeâs phone.
âMiss, you have a call.â
Evadne took the phone. Looking at the screen, she asked coldly, âAhley, who is it?â
George shivered, swallowing nervously. âItâs Acacia.â
âAnswer it. You talk to her.â
Evadne held out the phone to him, her eyes icy, âDonât try to deceive. Donât misspeak. Act normal, and donât alert her.â
George nodded quickly.
After answering the call, he said, âHello, Ahley. What do you need at this hour? Did you miss me?â
âCut the crap.â Acacia paused, then asked in a low voice, âYou havenât been causing any trouble for me lately, have you? I told you not to act without my sayâso. You didnât go off on your own, did you?â
George had no choice but to lie, âNo, of course not. I wouldnât do anything without your sayâso.â
Evadne lowered her long lashes, a cold smile playing on her l*ps.
So, it was George acting on his own, coming to her privately. That was why things turned out this way.
He was in a rush to get money, so he wanted to get rid of her as soon as possible, to trade her life for a reward from Acacia.
What a dumsy accomplice.
âDonât touch Evadne for now. Wait for my word.â
Acaciaâs voice was sweet and smug, âThings are looking up for me now. Iâve regained Thaddeusâs trust. Heâs been by my side these past few days. And Mr. Frederic has agreed to our marriage. We should be engaged soon.â
Engaged?
Ca**ius frowned, casting a worried glance at his sister.
But Evadne seemed indifferent, even yawning.
Seeing his sisterâs reaction, Ca**ius was rea**ured,
âNow that you and Thaddeus are a thing, what about the 500 grand?â
âWhatâs the rush!â Acacia sounded very impatient, âAre you hounding me for that small amount? Iâll wire you 50 grand for now. Once things with Mr. Thaddeus are settled and the engagement ceremony is over, Iâll give you the rest.â
âSo do I still need to take care of Evadne?â
âJust teach her a lesson.â

Chapter 139
Acaciaâs voice was lazy and malicious, âSheâs made my life difficult. I want her to spend the rest of her life in pain. If not cripple her, at least ruin her beautiful face!â
The call ended.
Acaciaâs vicious words had scared George.
Yet, Evadne was calm as could be. This womanâs nerves were truly something.
âYou did well, you can rest now. Iâll call you if I need anything.â
Just then, Evadneâs phone rang. It was Jason.
She turned to answer it, being the first to leave the basement.
The moment Evadne left, the atmosphere shifted.
Georgeâs eyes bulged in terror as Ca**ius approached him.
The tall, noble man slowly leaned in.
A silver cross fell from the lapel of his suit, swinging before his eyes like the sword that was about to end his life.
Ca**ius did nothing, yet George was scared out of his wits, as if death itself stood behind him.
âMy sister was hurt because of you,â Ca**ius said quietly, anger flashing in his eyes.
âIâm sorry.â Ca**ius shook his head and closed his eyes in a sincere prayer, âMerciful God, please forgive my sins. All I do is for those I love.â
No sooner than he finished speaking, a flash of silver flew past Georgeâs eyes.
Then a scream echoed through the basement.
Ca**ius had cleanly severed his hand with the cross.
In the empty lot.
Jason stood alone in the cold wind, his handsome face pale and weak.
âJason, why are you here?â Evadne noticed his sickly look and quickly went over to him.
Redâeyed, Jason stared at Evadne and said in a trembling voice, âIâm sorry.â
