His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 117
His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
Chapter 117
It looked like Acacia was all set to move into Windermere Estate as Mrs. Abernathy and shack up with Thaddeus.
It made sense. She wouldnât be too pleased if she saw his ex-wifeâs stuff cluttering up the place.
âSo, Mr. Thaddeus thinks theyâre in the way, huh? Just toss them. No need to come and ask me,â Evadneâs voice was as cold as ice.
âWhat about the gifts you gave me? Should I toss them too?â
Evadneâs l*ps twitched into a mocking smile. âThose werenât from me. They were from Ilana Waverley. Ilana might have treasured them, but to me, Evadne, theyâre just annoying junk.â
Thaddeus choked on his words.
âNext time, contact my secretary. I donât take calls from strangers. Bye.â
*Evadne.â
âWhat now?â Evadne was so fed up with that man that her voice rose.
âWhat about the clothes? You kept them so carefully, afraid to get even a speck of dirt on them. You donât want them anymore?â
Thaddeusâs voice was colder, more threatening. âIf you donât come and get them, Iâll consider them abandoned, and Iâll deal with them as I see fit.â
Evadne hesitated, her heart tightening.
Those carefully made clothes-each one was Myraâs private collection. Every little detail was Myraâs hard work.
When she heard that she wanted to borrow them to show her grandfather for a cheer-up, Myra readily took them out for her to choose from and even told her to keep them. She wouldnât let that man ruin Myraâs kindness. So, she took a deep breath and said, âIâll have Jason go to Windermere Estate to get them tomorrow.â
âYou come in person.â
The manâs voice was filled with an undeniable dominance, as if he had gained the upper hand, âIf your secretary comes, I wonât let him in. Iâll be home waiting for you tomorrow. Thatâs settled.â
With that, he hung up.
âDa mn it!â Evadne glared at the darkened screen, fuming.
Just because he had a few of her clothes, he acted as if he had her secret in his grasp!
She decided that sheâd go, considering it vanquishing demons and monsters.
The next morning.
Evadne and Nydia got dressed and dolled up. Hand in hand, they went to the dining room for breakfast.
Cas sius had an important group meeting and had left early. At the breakfast table, only Emeric, his three wives, and Arnold were present.
âYou two lazybones, why are you only coming now? Weâve been waiting for you two.â Arnold propped his cheek on his hand, teasing the sisters with a smile.
âShe and I havenât seen each other for a long time. We talked till late last night and didnât sleep until early morning.â Evadne yawned as she spoke, her eyes bloodshot.
Looking at Nydia, the young girl was fresh and energetic, not showing a hint of tiredness. College students were really something.
Evadne could never maintain that kind of energy.
Emeric sat at one end of the table. His gaze on Evadne was not good and his eyes were dark. It was obvious that he hadnât slept well.
That chair might have never imagined that it would cause Skyrimâs richest man to have sleepless nights.
Evadneâs me ntal quality was very strong. She continued to live as usual. The previous nightâs incident did not affect her.
After all, the gifts had been sent out. As a lady, she would not take back the gifts she had given.
Seeing that the breakfast was almost over, Evadne was about to leave when Emeric spoke up.
âDo you still have that guy in your heart?â
Everyone felt their hearts ski p a beat, but Evadne very calmly answered, âNo.â
âDoes that mean youâve completely moved on from the shadow of divorce?â
âEmeric, weâve known each other for twenty-four years. You can speak directly without beating around the bush.â Evadne gracefully picked up the napkin and wiped her l*ps.
âAlright, Iâll cut to the chase. DyLan!â
Emeric called loudly and the chairmanâs chief secretary, DyLan, walked over quickly, handing him a document to.
Then, with a sweep of his arm, the document accurately flew to Evadneâs front.
âWhatâs this?â
âA list.â
âWhat list?â
âA blind date list.â Emeric said calmly.
Everyone was stunned.
Nydia was always very well-behaved, but at that moment, she was so surprised that she dropped her fork onto the floor.
Arnold almost spat out his coffee, coughing until his face turned red!
âEmeric!â Evadne stood up suddenly and asked, âAre you taking revenge on me?â
âHow could I possibly take revenge on my own daughter?â Emeric said calmly. âAfter all, youâre divorced. No matter how low-key you are, you canât hide it from others. It would be a joke in the circle. If Thaddeus can find a new partner, why canât I help you arrange one? What he has, you should have too.â

âSo, if he has a men tal illness, should I have one too?â Evadne asked angrily.
âAnyway, Iâve decided. This list is a list of all the unmarried and suitable young men of your age in the country that Mr. Dylan has compiled for me. Get ready, Starting from next month, meet at least five a week, and take weekends off.â Emericâs expression was serious and it didnât look like he was joking.
Evadne was so angry she wanted to fl*p the table, âI wonât go! I wonât meet them!â
âYou donât want to meet them? Then you donât want the position of president either?â
Evadne ground her teeth in anger, âEmeric, you said before that as long as I help you run the company well, youâll let me be the president. How can you go back on your word? Arenât you afraid of losing face by going back on your word so easily?â
âIf my reputation can exchange for your marital happiness for the rest of your life, this little sacrifice is really nothing.â Emeric said seriously.
Evadne gritted her teeth, âI wonât go on blind dates. Whoever wants to go, let them go!â
âIs the position of president also open to whoever wants to sit then?â Emeric squinted his sharp eyes, âDonât forget, Iâm still the one who makes the decisions in this family.â
Breakfast ended unhappily.
Evadne felt like she had swallowed a bundle of dry wood. It was burning in her lungs with a crac kling sound.
When she was a kid, whenever she felt down, sheâd run to the backyard and hide in the cave of the faux mountain, write on the rocks, or just hide in there and cry.
Then, at twenty-four, that habit hadnât changed, and she was back in that faux mountain cave again, venting her emotions.
âHa! I knew Iâd find you here!â Arnold, with his hands behind his back, bent down, his tall b*dy leaning into the cave.
âDo you think Emeric is getting back at me for stealing his chair?!â Evadne asked angrily.
âNot entirely. He might be trying to use this as a way to get you completely over the negative impact Unfaithful Thaddeus has had on you and start a new life.â Arnold curled up his long legs and sat down next to her.
âStarting a new life by constantly parading men in front of me? Sure, Iâm his daughter, but Iâm not as promiscuous as him. Canât I live without a man?â
Evadne threw a stone into the pond, making a few ski ps on the surface, âMen are such a has sle! If he likes it, let him go for it. Maybe heâll even find his fifth wife!â
âBut you know our dad. Heâs both vengeful and stubborn.â Arnold whispered in her ear, âHe said if you donât go on blind dates, he wonât let you be the CEO. I reckon heâd really do it.â
Evadne felt a bit uneasy and her eyes flickered, âArnold, what should I do now?â
âWell, how about this? You give me a copy of that list.â
âWhat? Are you going to help me eliminate them one by one?â Evadneâs eyes were sparkling.
âIâll help you check their backgrounds one by one and select some for you to check out. Pick one that looks good to keep around and start dating.â Arnold was grinning from ear to ear.
âWhat are you babbling about?â Evadne widened her eyes, ready to punch him with her small fist.
But just then, her phone rang.
Thaddeusâs name was particularly conspicuous.
Evadne was still angry, so she answered the call directly, using him as a punching bag. âWhy are you calling so early? Thaddeus, donât you have any shame?â
âAre you out yet?â Thaddeus ignored her sarcasm and asked coldly.
âNo!â
âThen come out now.â The man paused, his voice low and steady, âIâm outside your house.â
