Chapter 1259
Substitute Marriage: Falling For My Ugly Wife
With a finality in his tone, Trenton exited and returned to Shera.
âMr. Thomas declines. Youâre free to leave.â
âUnderstood.â As Shera retreated, Trenton re-entered the chamber, clutching a bag of revelations.
âHave you unveiled the truth?â Marcusâ gaze locked onto Trentonâs offering.
Trenton affirmed, âIndeed. It was Shera who orchestrated the incident involving Mrs. Thomas at the
airport.â
Upon these words, a vice-like grip seized the pen within Marcusâ hand, as if the weight of revelation
threatened to shatter the fragile construct of his world.
A week had passed and Shera had a firm foothold in the charity department. However, she hadnât
gotten any closer to her objective, which was to get closer to Marcus.
Millie was still taking care of her grandma in the countryside.
One day, she was cleaning her grandmotherâs body when she suddenly had an itch on her back. She
scratched it and didnât think too much about it.
In the Evans family, a servant walked up to Shera and said, âMiss Evans, itâs late. You should go to
bed.â
Shera was standing on the balcony with her hand on the handrail. She was staring down at the pool in
a daze.
âWhat can I do to make Marcus fall in love with me?â
The servant was taken aback by her sudden question. When her surprise wore off, the servant started
brainstorming.
âI think you should start by separating Marcus and Millie first. You can create a gap between them.â
Angelaâs Library
âA gap?â Shera frowned and urged, âKeep talking.â
That was a good idea. So far, her straightforward method hadnât done her any good. It only disgusted
Marcus and pushed him further away.
The servant explained, âWe can hire a tall and handsome young man to seduce Millie. She surely wonât
resist. Then, you hire someone to tail them and take compromising pictures of them. When you show
these pictures to Marcus, he would be disappointed in Millie and would push her away. That will be
your chance to step in.â
Shera smiled.
âThat sounds like a good plan.â
Without further ado, she took out her phone and called the person in charge of the menâs model club in
Preagend.
She said into the phone, âI need someone tall, handsome, eight pack abs, and he should be good at
flirting.â
Shera smiled after hanging up. Now that Millie was alone in the remote countryside, she wouldnât be
able to resist a handsome man that could comfort her lonely and empty heart.
Shera quickly chose a handsome man and sent him to the countryside that same night.
In the morning, Millie was on her way to the pharmacy to get some drugs when someone bumped hard
into her.
