Pretty doctor |sunki|

Chapter 25

Sunoo's breath came in ragged, uneven gasps. His back pressed against the cold wall, his fingers trembling where they rested on his thighs. His skin still burned where Riki had touched him, phantom traces of his grip lingering, haunting.

The room felt too empty now, but the air still carried him—the scent of Riki, the heat of him, the sound of his voice like a whisper curling around his thoughts.

Sunoo exhaled sharply, pressing the heel of his palm against his temple. He needed to think. He needed to clear his head.

But it was impossible when his body still ached from the weight of Riki against him, when his lips still tingled from where he imagined Riki’s breath had brushed too close.

This wasn’t just dangerous. It was madness.

He needed to stop this.

He needed to stop him.

Sunoo forced himself to move, his legs unsteady as he pushed off the floor. He crossed the room to his desk, hands shaking as he yanked open the drawer, searching for something—anything—that could help him think.

He found his notebook. The one filled with notes, records, plans—plans that he had abandoned the second Riki had stepped back into his life.

He flipped it open, his gaze scanning over the pages.

The asylum.

That was where Riki belonged.

Sunoo clenched his jaw. He needed to get Riki back there.

But how?

Riki wasn’t stupid. He knew Sunoo better than anyone, knew how he thought, how he planned. He would see through anything too obvious.

Sunoo needed to be careful.

He needed to be patient.

His fingers tightened around the notebook as he started mapping it out.

He would let Riki think he was winning.

Let him believe Sunoo wanted him here.

Let him believe that Sunoo wanted him, period.

And then—

Sunoo swallowed.

Then he would lead him back.

Back to the place where he belonged.

A shiver ran down his spine.

He knew it wouldn’t be easy. Riki was unpredictable, always three steps ahead. But if he played his cards right—if he let himself sink into the role Riki expected—

Maybe, just maybe, he could end this.

But then, why did that thought make his chest ache?

Why did the idea of losing Riki again feel more terrifying than keeping him close?

Sunoo squeezed his eyes shut. No. He couldn’t afford to think like that.

This wasn’t about what he wanted.

This was about what was right.

He needed to end this.

Before it was too late.

The next night, Riki came back.

Sunoo had known he would.

He was waiting when the window creaked open, when the familiar presence filled the room like a shadow slipping into place.

Riki was grinning. He always was.

"You’re not scared this time," he noted, tilting his head.

Sunoo forced himself to relax, to let his body ease into something less rigid, less hostile. If he wanted this to work, he couldn’t fight him. Not yet.

"I’m tired," he muttered instead.

Riki smirked. "Tired of fighting me?"

Sunoo swallowed.

"Maybe."

Riki’s gaze flickered with something unreadable, something that made Sunoo’s pulse stutter.

Then—

He moved.

Slow, deliberate.

Sunoo didn’t flinch when Riki closed the space between them, didn’t pull away when Riki’s fingers brushed against his wrist.

He let it happen.

Let Riki think he was surrendering.

"That’s new," Riki murmured, his voice lower now, closer.

Sunoo could feel his breath against his cheek, could see the way Riki’s eyes darkened just slightly, flickering down to his lips.

His stomach twisted.

He knew what Riki wanted.

He knew what Riki thought he wanted.

And maybe—just maybe—Sunoo needed to let him have it.

Just once.

Just enough to make this believable.

So when Riki leaned in—when his lips brushed, featherlight, against Sunoo’s—

Sunoo let him.

His breath caught.

Riki was warm. Too warm.

It was barely a kiss, just a whisper of pressure, a lingering touch that sent a sharp, burning ache curling through his chest.

Then Riki pulled back, just enough to look at him. His eyes gleamed with something dangerous, something smug.

"You didn’t stop me," he murmured.

Sunoo exhaled slowly, forcing his voice to stay steady.

"Maybe I didn’t want to."

Riki grinned.

And just like that—

Sunoo had him.
