G R A Y S O N

Today was the day... I was finally getting married to Jean and I couldn't have been happier.

We were having the wedding on the beach, at late evening so the sky would painted with beautiful colors as we got married.

I turned to Charlotte and Violetta, who were helping me get ready.

"You look wonderful Grayson, I'm so happy for you and my brother. I'll see you out there, the wedding is about to start." She gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek the walked out of the little shack that I had changed in.

"You ready?" Charlotte asked with a big smile.

"Of course." I smiled.

"The love I see between Jean and you bring back memories of Gabriel and me. Gabriel was my husband." She clarified at the end.

"That's sweet."

She nodded, "Now lets go." She smiled.

We walked out and I could instantly see the colorful sky. I looked over and saw the white benches lined on either side of the white carpet I would soon be walking on. Our guests filled the benches and they all stood up and turned to me as Charlotte began walking me down the isle to my stunning groom.

He was in a black suit, I was in white. He stood on a slight platmorm covered by a beautifully decorated arch. When we made it up there Jean took my hands in his and the minister began speaking. I was so focused on Jean's blue eyes that I only replied with a happy 'yes' when needed.

When the time came to exchange vows Jean went first. He got the black and gold ring, with three diamond in the midle, ready to slide on my finger.

"I knew, from the moment I saw you, you were a beat and broken soul that needed a little kindness. But as I got to know you more my kindness for you turned into love. I love how, even with your horrible past you still think of others before you. And now you seem so optomistic and cheerful, it's very contagious."

"That's because of you." I laughed slightly, wiping away a tear.

He smiled and continued, "You are a very strong man Grayson. I envy you in that aspect." He pause for a second then continued, "There is no other person I want standing in front of me today, I want you now and forever." With that he slid the ring on my finger as I wiped away another tear.

Now I got his black and gold ring ready to slide on his finger. I looked up and smiled at him, "I will forever remember that kindness you showed me the first day we met. You took me into your home, this beaten up kid, and gave me care and love, two things I never got in life. You are the one who has made me into a man and a strong one, as you said. You are the reason I am optomistic and happy and always putting others before me. You showed me what life's really supposed to be about." Now I had to pause to finish up my thoughts, "I want you, Jean, 'til death do us part. Because without you, I wouldn't be who I am now."

I slid the ring on his finger and waited for the final words of the minister.

Finally Jean leaned down and kissed me, slow and passionate. I heard the guests clapping and when we finally pulled away I looked at them. Kaleb was with Basile smiling and giggling as Basile clapped, a slight smile on his face.

We walked off and I went straight to Basile who had Kaleb. I took him from his hand and smiled, "Thank you Basile."

"No problem." He answered then started walking to the large gazebo where the reception would be held.

Jean and I walked there too and sat at our table which Violetta, Arthur, Basile, Célian and Charlotte all sat.

We began eating dinner and we held light conversation, laughing here and there.

When we finished dinner the toasts began, Charlotte was first, "I am Jean's mother. When Jean first brought Grayson to the house, to meet us, I knew instantly that you, Grayson, were something else. And not in a bad way, I just want to know you story, and once I did I almost thought Jean wasn't good enough for you." We all laughed and she continued, "Not really, I knew my son would take good care of you. And I can see that he had and will continue to take care of you."

We clapped and then the toast went around the table then around the room.

When all the toasts were finished we decided that we would cut the cake and then have our first dance.

When we got to the cake every one pulled out phones and got ready to snap pictures and record videos.

The cake was beautifully decorated white like every other wedding cake. But on the top there were to figures both men.

I smiled and wrapped my hand around Jean's which was on the knife. We cut the first piece of cake and I saw that underneath the white icing was a rainbow.

I took a piece of the cake and so did Jean.

"You ready?" I asked.

He laughed, "Are you?" As I laughed he shoved the cake in my mouth and I did the same, making sure to smear the icing. Thankfully we didn't have our suit jackets on and out sleeves were rolled up so the cake didn't get all over the expensive clothing.

We all laughed and I chewed the cake that managed to get in my mouth.

I looked at Jean and laughed around the cake. He had icing all over his face.

I grabbed a napkin as Jean did and began to wipe to icing off.

When we finished someone asked, "If it good?"

I nodded and then someone stepped in to cut the rest of the cake for our guests.

After everyone had their fill of the cake it was time for the first dance.

Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli started playing and I laughed. I wrapped my arms around Jean's neck and he placed his arms on my hips as we began to slowly dance around the room trying to look as professional as possible.

I laughed when he spun me and then when the song progressed we danced all over the floor laughing.

Finally when that song was done other people joined in on the dance floor when Same Love by Macklemore started playing.

Jean and I began to dance like before, he added the occasional spin here and there making me laugh.

When the song started to come to and end I hand my arms around his neck and my head on his shoulder as he had his arms wrapped around my waist and his head rested on mine.

"I love you so much." I whispered.

"I love you more." Jean kissed my temple.

I lifted my head off his shoulder and smiled at him.

We danced to all the other songs until we needed to grab a drink.

I was sitting beside Jean, Kaleb in my lap as he slept.

"This day has been so amazing." I said and looked at Jean

Jean smiled at me and looked down at Kaleb, "I agree." He wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into him.

"I love you." I smiled.

"I love you too."
