Spencer
I was on my way over to coaches place from my house to talk about Olivia but I stopped by Y/N's house before so she could come with and once we were done we were making our way to Layla's house because unfortunately that's where we were all meeting up at to see everyone and enjoy each other.
I rung Y/N's doorbell hearing her yell "give me a minute!" She shouted from behind the door as I chuckled some. She then finally came and got the door As her hair was in curls, her make up was done and she was dressed.
Once she opened the door she hurried and walked quickly back into the kitchen as her heels clicked against the floor.
"Wait a minute now" I started off following her into the kitchen as she placed a top over the huge sandwich container she had for the sandwiches she made for the kick back. "Wait a damn minute" I said looking around then back at the door as she looked at me confused.
"What you looking for?" She asked as I looked at her "your mind. Girl give me a kiss or something " I expressed as she just smiled at me and we walked towards each other. "Hi stink" She says grabbing my chin as we were a couple inches away from each other. "Don't ever say that again" I said as she laughed making me chuckle and kiss her lips.
I wrapped my arms around her waist as we pulled our lips away from each other and she snakes her arms around my torso. "Where's serenity?" I asked "I don't even know why you asked that" she said as I chuckled "You're right" I agreed. "Where's storm and your mother?" I asked "storm is over her friends house for the weekend and my mother is at the store" she informed. "Why are you trying to get down?" She asked. "Don't" I warned as she laughed.
"Damn all these sandwiches?" I asked "yeah if you, me, coop, Patience, Jordan, serenity, Asher, Vanessa, JJ, Layla, Layla's friend and Liv" she named off as I looked at her and placed my hands in my pockets. "You know we can sit this one out and just do something with patience and coop" I reminded. "Yeah but I'm cool with everyone else why stop it for two girls?" She asked as I placed my hands up some. "Now let's gooo" she dragged out with a smile as she was about to grab the platter of sandwiches but I stopped her.
"What you doing?" I asked as she stepped back "I'm sorry Mr. James" she apologized placing her hands back as I chuckled and looked over at her. "Mr. James if ya nasty" I said looking her up and down which made her laugh. "Boy come on" she said walking in front of me as I chuckled to myself walking out behind her to the car as she opened the trunk and I placed the platter in the trunk before heading over to Mr. and Mrs. Baker's house.
"You ready?" I asked looking over at Y/N "yeah let's get it over with we might get in trouble" she admitted looking over at me. "Yeah I know" I started off "just let me talk I don't want my uncle to be mad at you" she said as I looked at her "yeah but we both knew don't sit there and take blame for that" I said as she shook her head. "No you know how my uncle gets when it comes to you I'm just going to say it just go along with it" She instructed as Y/N rung the doorbell and Mrs. baker let us in. "Hi sweetie" sue said hugging Y/N then kissed her head.
"Hey auntie" Y/N said full of smiles "hi Mrs. baker" I said as she smiled at me. "Hey Spence" she said as she closed the door behind us. "So what's up?" Mrs. Baker asked "um is uncle Billy arou-" she started off as coach interrupted her coming downstairs. "Baby girl What you doing here?" He asked before hugging her. "What's up Spence" He greeted doing an arm bump. "We wanted to talk to you about Olivia" Y/N started off.
"What's going on with Olivia?! Is she okay?" Mrs. Baker questioned.
"Is liv here?" I asked "no she just left with Layla to go out what is this about?" Coach asked. "Olivia is still using and she needs help" Y/N admitted. "Wait what?!" Mrs. Baker asked "she relapsed and apparently I'm the reason why" Y/N said. "And how long have you known?" Coach asked. "She told me back in April but I thought because of the talk we were having she was just trying to throw it in my face to get what she wanted but last night I can tell she's abusing again" Y/N explained.
"Wait a minute so you two knew since APRIL?!" Coach asked Raising his voice as I was about to say something but Y/N spoke up. "No it was just a conversation Olivia and I had I didn't say anything because I was scared of you guys placing her in rehab and throwing the key away. I didn't want to higher you guys but I also didn't want for Olivia to possibly hurt herself even further by sending her off" she explained.
"Olivia and I have our differences but I don't want anything to happen to my cousin" Y/N Honestly said as coach baker and Mrs. baker looked at each other. "We're not going to send her away and throw away the key baby girl" coach assured. "But sweetie when Olivia tells you something like this you need to let us know immediately" Mrs. baker said as Y/N nodded. "I know it won't happen again" She assured.
"Do you know what she's using maybe we can get her temptations out the house and when she comes back talk to her" Coach explained. "All I know is alcohol" Y/N said as I agreed. "Thanks for you guy telling us" coach thanked. "No problem" I said as Y/N and I were about to head out. "Now the question is what are you two doing?" Coach baker assured as we looked back at them. "Are you two like a thing?!" Mrs. Baker questioned with a small smirk.
"Oh we're just um" I started off and scratched the back of my head. "It's complicated" Y/N said as I just looked over at her. "I don't think it's complicated" I said with a small laugh. "We're friends" Y/N started off "That's my girlfriend" I admitted. "Girlfriend?" Coach questioned crossing his arm over his chest. "Girlfriend?" Y/N asked looking over at me.
"We're going to just let you two figure it out we kind of figured it was something between you two" Mrs. Baker admitted with a small shrug as Y/N and I looked at each other then back at Coach and Mrs. Baker. "Auntie what are you talking about?" Y/N asked as the tone of her voice got a little higher.
I just looked over at Y/N and straight faced Her. Mrs. Baker just smiled as Coach just shook his head and walked off. "I was your age Once sweetie" Mrs baker said walking up to Y/N before kissing her head. "Yeah I was too, keep your hands to yourself Spence" Coach warned "yes sir" I agreed.
I just looked over at Y/N "Really?" I asked "what?" She questioned as I shook my head. "Auntie what are you talking about?" I mimicked in a higher pitch voice "shut up" she said pushing me away and walking towards the door as I chuckled following her out the door.
We got into the car and went over to Layla's getting out "what are we?" Y/N asked as I got the platter of sandwiches out of the trunk. "What you mean?" I asked grabbing the platter and closing the trunk. "What you mean?" She mimicked me as i mimicked her back squinting my eyes. "Keep on" She warned "or what?" I asked playfully as she rolled her eyes playfully and we walked towards the door ringing the doorbell.
We stood there as I looked down then over at Y/N "You're my girl friend" I stated looking over at her. "Am I? Or are we having one of those moments where we say it and then days later we break up?" She asked as I chuckled and nodded. "I know what you want" I started off as she looked over at me. "What?" She questioned with a smile. "You want me to ask you properly and I respect that" I honestly said.
"Yeah You better because I don't know what you're big headed ass thought this was" She said stepping in front of me as someone was unlocking the door. I just grabbed the loop hole for where her belt goes and pulled her back as she laughed. "You're annoying" She said hitting my arm playfully as I chuckled and Patience opened the door.
"I missed you so much!" Patience squealed wrapping her arms around Y/N as they then pulled apart. "Oh girl you look gorgeous!" She expressed looking over Y/N. "Hey, hello Spence" I started off as Y/N and Patience just looked over at me. "Yeah to the dude you've been tight with since kids, how you been Spencer?" I asked myself. "He's so dramatic" Patience said as Y/N agreed "very" Y/N agreed as they shared a laugh and I hugged Patience watching as Patience dragged Y/N into the house.
I just walked inside behind them with the platter still in my hands.
"Coop is outside if you want to talk to her" Y/N brought up looking back at me as I did a small nod. Coop and I have been a little distant after the whole shooting and talking to doctor spears but I knew one day we would probably start talking again just not right now. I sat the sandwich platter on the island in the kitchen with some more food.
"Everyone come into the dining room" Patience called out as we all grouped into the dining room. I dapped jordan, Asher and JJ up before going to stand next to Y/N. "It's funny how someone threatens someone with a restraining order just to be right in the same room with them a couple of days later" Olivia smartly said. I was about to say something but Y/N opened her mouth. "What was that?" Y/N questioned placing the champagne glass She had in her hand down on the table and looked dead at Olivia.
"You wanted this bitch to come out and now you got her. What did you say?" Y/N asked not taking her eyes off of Olivia. "Look we came here because we're family whether we like it or not" Spencer brought up as Olivia looked down as I just rolled my eyes and unclenched my fish that was in my other hand.
"Spencer's right Besides I'm honestly tired of all the arguing. whenever we're altogether Someone is always arguing" Layla spoke up and said as I looked at her as she faintly smiled at me.
"I called all you guys here because I wanted us to chill and be under one roof without any problems. With coop and I being on tour we missed out on a lot and just want to catch up". Patience started off. "We're now seniors transitioning into adulthood and I think this is the most important time for us to all be together. Between old relationships and new ones within all of us I think it's beautiful and I'm happy for all of what the future brings for us all" Patience said holding her glass up as I smiled some placing mines up.
I then clanked my glass with Y/N's as we all started drinking and I watched Y/N walk out of the dining room.
As everyone was talking I finally slipped away and walked out into the backyard as Y/N was sitting there drinking a bottle of water and staring out at the pool. "Looks like you want to get in" I said taking a seat next to her. "We don't need a recap of us skinny dipping in the hot tub" She joked as I chuckled some "that wasn't such a bad night" I admitted "not at all" She said as I looked over at her and she smiled.
"I just needed a breather that's it" She said coming clean too Why she was out here. "I don't know that girl inside had me scared for a minute" I joked as she laughed some. "And you should be" She said as I was about to say something but we heard serenity and Jordan come outside. "I just want a dull moment God, that's all I ask of" I said closing my eyes with my head up towards the sky.
"I want a break from all of this" Jordan said sitting down by us. "Who are you telling" I said sitting back in my seat. "Yah before I lose it" Y/N admitted with her hand over her face. "Well my aunt works at an HBCU in Atlanta and it's their homecoming so I'm sure she wouldn't mind all of us going for the weekend" serenity brought up.
"It gives us a chance to visit a college" Y/N said "yeah and it gives us an experience of a black college" serenity added. "Next weekend?" Y/N asked Serenity as she nodded. "I'm in." Y/N said as I just sat there watching them all talk and make plans up.
"Y'all just gon sit here and make weekend plans without me?" I asked as they laughed. "Nah we're going to leave you out" serenity sarcastically said as i mimicked her and she stuck her tongue out. "He's been like this all day" Y/N assured as I just looked over at her. "Bottom line is its Bringston's homecoming and I think it would be really cool" serenity said with a convincing smile. "And to just get away" she added as Y/N smiled. "I'm in" Jordan automatically said. " I'm sure my moms will be Cool with it" I said as we all looked at Y/N.
"Y'all know I don't do planes" she said as we all sucked our teeth. "Oh my G-She's going" I assured looking over at serenity. Y/N started rubbing her stomach some "don't tell me you got something to tell us" jordan brought up. "I'm hungry since you want to know" Y/N shot back as I chuckled and nodded my head to the house as she got up with a big smile following behind me.
She grabbed my hand as I smile down at our hands. We walked into the kitchen as we seen coop making a plate. "What's up Spence" she said as I smiled "what's up" I said as we dapped up and hugged. "Hey girl" coop said with a big smile towards Y/N as they hugged "hey" Y/N greeted. "Is this a thing or what?" Coop asked pointing between us as Y/N and I looked at each other. "Uh" I started off "We're just taking things slow" Y/N answered.
"You made this Mac and cheese?" Coop asked Y/N "no I brought the sandwiches" Y/N admitted beginning to make her plate placing some food on my plate as well. "Man, hold the hell up. I need to know who brought it because I don't just eat anybody's mac and cheese" coop expressed.
"Who made this Mac and cheese?" We heard Jordan ask behind us. "I don't know but someone try it because I'm not about to risk my stomach being on ten" Y/N said grabbing a sandwich as I chuckled making my plate. "The Bubble guts ain't no joke" coop said as I agreed. "I'll try it" I started off getting a fork full of it placing it into my mouth.
"The Mac and cheese is fine. I made it" we heard Carrie say as we all looked at her and coop just looked at, Y/N, Jordan and I. I slowed my chewing down and coughed some before clearing my throat.
"Yeah. no." Y/N lowly said then smiled "Well I have an allergy so I can't" Y/N said placing some chicken on her plate. "I'm just gonna eat light. I got a big game tomorrow so." Jordan said before walking back outside with serenity. "I am also an athlete" I slowly said grabbing my sandwich as Y/N snickered and I nudged her arm some before we turned and started walking towards the door to go outside "it was nasty as hell" I admitted as we shared a silent laugh together.
